Same girl same!!! I never understood the vanilla craze with everyone else. It was really rare for me to like a vanilla fragrance - normally I gravitate towards fresh/citrusy forward fragrances, but have recently done a 180. It's very possible I just never got my nose on the more gourmand vanillas which I LURRRVVE. I wore Dior Addict in college and don't remember it being vanilla dominant - def more mature and classy, but now I want to get my nose on it again... As always, love watching your vids!

My favourite vanilla of all time is spiritueuse double vanille from guerlain but I don't like the price 🤣 I also enjoy Mon guerlain and mon guerlain intense I guess I love the way Guerlain work with vanilla

Over the years, like perhaps other of your viewers, I have gone through many loves and hates of different fragrances. I have tried many times to expand the zone of my favorite perfumes, but I have convinced myself that I am a staunch lover of warm, sweet, embracing and long-lasting scents that have vanilla in them. I recently discovered your channel and am a huge fan of the way you convey your passion for fragrances. I am very happy that through you I discovered new wonderful perfumes to add to my collection. Aura never disappoints even though its an oddball....its that weird minty thing. I put it away and then when I respray again, I always love it. My latest vanillas are Attar Crystal Love and my CocoVanille by Mancera. *Your red lipstick is super pretty.

The Aura is gorgeous! I get a odd smell at first . I would call it more medicinal than Pepto-Bismol, but once it dries down. it is absolutely sophisticated and beautiful. Such an underrated fragrance ! it kind of reminds me a little bit when baccarat 540 opens up. It is a bit medicinal, but the dry down is gorgeous as well.. not even remotely, the same fragrances, but the only example I can think of

I love vanilla! I realized a lot of the perfumes I love that I wouldn't consider vanillas a lot of people do call them vanillas. I love Dior Addict. I wore Amouage Material yesterday and I love it but although it has a beautiful vanilla in it I consider it more of an amber.
I had the same thoughts when I first watched vanilla videos a years back - I'd think to myself, how is that a vanilla fragrance? 😁 Material is definitely heavy on the amber also. 💯👌

All the fragrances mentioned in your video today are on my top faves except Initio's...there are couple that I want to chase....The Merchant of Venice Andalusian Soul and TT Lince. I recently got JPG Scandal Le Perfum and it is giving (me) Dior Hypnotic Poison but in an edgy daring style and I much prefer JPG's over Dior's. Love your look today as usual you look fab.
Lol, I’ve just become obsessed too with vanilla!! My favourite of all has to be Dior Addict. I have versions 2002, 2012 and am waiting for the latest version in the post. The mysore sandalwood in the OG 2002 is stunning. Orange blossom paired with vanilla just goes so well together. Love love LOVE a good vanilla. Oh, and Guerlain’s Shalimar Millesime Vanilla Planifolia is so rich and of course, very vanillery. ❤️🔥 p.s - beautiful make-up! 💋💄

I love Metallique! You’re right it is SO unique. The only fragrance that I feel is similar is Abracadabra by Krigler. I actually sold that one and kept this. Another great video and you are ROCKIN that red lip! I love it
I absolutely love Lalique Le Parfum. It's like me, a little sweet, but pretty spicy, too. I really, really love it and if I had a signature scent now, it would be this one. I have a backup bottle and my first one is almost gone. I layer it at times with something, perfume or body cream or both, that has a caramel or dulce de leche note if I want more sweetness. And the bottle is stunning (plus makes a pretty good weapon, too, LOL). ~Cynthia

I kinda wanna get YSL Libre Intense now … but, since you asked, the vanilla fwd frags in my wardrobe incl: Mugler Alien Goddess, JHAG Vanilla Vibes, Signature Montblanc, Mugler Aura, Ameer Al Oudh Intense Oud Lattafa, Raghba Lattafa Perfumes, Lord of Misrule Lush, Green Lover Lolita Lempicka (layers super nicely with Mugler Aura, btw); but the one frag I recently purchased from Genre Parfums, “Sweet Suede” (inspired by YSL Babycat) is my current vanilla obsession.

Vanilla and coconut are my absolute faves of all time! ❤ I have the Vanilla Fatale from Tom Ford and love it. Hypnotic Poison was my all-time favorite ride or die until they kept ruining it. I did manage to get my hand on an EDP several years ago but don't know if there are any floating around anymore. You would love the EDP. So sad when they reformulate a wonderful thing!

Funny story I just ordered the scent Fawn from Ellis Brooklyn and it was a toss up between the Fawn and Coco Vanille from Mancera but I could not find the Coco Vanille in store to sample it or ever smell it. Great video & great tip abt the “inspired by” Google search cuz I buy the originals then get the dupes as travel companions & these dupes are really good! So much so that I be mad I shelled out hundreds of dollars for the original when the dupe is just as good if not better.
Hi Veronica. I picked up the Lalique on your recommendation maybe a month ago and really like wearing it. Even in warmer Australian temps (end of summer beginning of Autumn here now) it works beautifully and one I can wear to work without worrying if it’s too much for others. Great video as always 😊
Hi Veronica! I enjoy your reviews! I bought Tom Ford Vanille Fatale last year and I am enjoying it. I do detect a slight Play Dough scent that people mention, but I love the mix of spice, myrrh, suede and vanilla. And yes, you will sniff yourself all day! I also like Ani by Nishane because it’s a spicy vanilla and it’s long lasting. I recently purchased Initio Absolute Aphrodisiac and it doesn’t live up to the hype in my opinion. Don’t get me wrong, I do like it. It smells like exquisite vanilla ice cream mixed with leather. But is it extra special? Hmmm… Guess, I will need to wear it some more to find out! Love the YSL Libre line of fragrances. I have them all except the EDT. - Ms. Charlette

Hello Veronica, You look amazing in your video! Congrats on 10k you have worked so hard to get every subscriber and deserve it! 🎉 Vanilla is a comfort note for me. It's in the base of so many fragrances to soften or sweeten them up a touch. It must have been hard to pick only 10 from your shelf. I think you have chosen some lesser known options and that has made this video different from the other videos out there on YT. I have smelled or own several from your list today. Dior Addict is such a classic and I wear it in the daytime too. It's cold here and I can get away with stronger spicier fragrances. It's not even very spicy compared to a lot of other things I enjoy. Material is beautiful! I don't own it yet, but sampled it last year. It's their most vanilla fragrance, but my mind wants put it into the amber zone which often includes vanilla the accord. I get a lot of incense and cedar on my skin in the dry down. No one has said it, but Baby Cat gives me hints of Material and gives a similar vibe. They are not the same... Baby cat is lighter and sweeter to my nose. I have the Mon Guerlain Intense, which I need to wear in the daytime. I have only tried to wear it to bed and it was one that kept me awake for some reason. I also have the Libre Intense but my mind wants to put in into the orange blossom floral category because for me the vanilla while being strong, supports the florals. I would like to smell the TF Vanille Fatal and the Andalusian Soul sometime. Have a super weekend! 💛~ Jenn

Yes, it's possible that several of these could be considered as other categories, too - all depends on how it reads to you (and even THAT can be different based on weather and such). Material, for example, is strong on the amber, too (an accord which contains vanilla, as you noted). I remember your Mon Guerlain Intense story - I've had the same thing happen to me with overspraying a strong fragrance before bed! Oof! What a mistake. Hi Veronica! I just bought samples of Ani, Eau Duelle EDP and Material. I’m afraid there is something wrong with my sense of smell😂 Ani isn’t the powerhouse I’d heard about. I love the dry down, but it doesn’t seem to project at all on me. My husband didn’t notice I’d doused myself in it. Material mainly smells like smokey leather, very masculine to me. Eau Duelle, I knew what to expect, but bought it anyway because I liked the fragrance when I tried it in store. Doesn’t project or last. I just want a perfume that I can enjoy without knocking other people out. My ideal would be a strong, projecting Sunny Side Up.
Hi Katherine! 💖🥰 Sampling can be so tricky! The experience can differ so much with a full bottle. I find Material to be very faint on the leather and quite sexy. I'm interested in Eau Duelle but I know it's not long lasting. I've come to accept that as the case with many modern perfumes. 🤷♀️

I love Metalique. On me it's a soft clean vanilla that is very comforting. I love vanilla as long as it is not too much of just a sweet icing type of vanilla.

Sooooo happy about this vanilla video. And so many that sound amazing. If I want very vanilla forward this winter, I go for Libre Intense, Nebras, Un bois vanille (Nuit trésor à la folie, Black Opium nuit blanche), Joop le bain. Still on the fence about Lalique le parfum and Vanille insensée; letting them macerate a little. Was expecting them maybe to be sweeter or less powdery. Maybe better suited for Spring? I love my Dolce Amalfi and Poets of Berlin, as well as Decadence of which many say Poets is a dupe. I also own Vaniglia by Aqua di Parma, which is a cosy toned down unisex vanilla for office. Glad you included Addict - it is such a classic! I used to be one of the first to wear it back in 2006 and it was like a bomb - everyone was asking what that was. Terry Wasser is a genius.

Loved this one. Vanilla is a note that disappears on my skin (sigh) so for it to work it needs to be bolstered by resins/spices and woods. I love it but is “shy” with my chemistry. So glad you pulled out Lalique I love it too. It grew on me and is very pulled together and elegant. I also enjoy Angelique Noire which I feel has the same vibe. I adore Mon Guerlain. I feel the regular edp is a more fluffy vanilla whereas the intense has that gorgeous Lavendar in charge. Lince rocks, I too let my HP Edt go. It’s not as it was very thin and weak. Metallique is gorgeous. I love the white Musk which really brings back my fav discontinued Ford - Musk Pure (I’m nursing the dregs of my 50ml bottle) just lovely and sparkly at the opening. Oddly I get a lot of vanilla out of the Maison Lancome line. Seems to like my skin. As winter approaches I’ll be wearing my Vanille Fatale❤, Ani, Lune Feline, Boundless, Opus 1144, Le Lion, L’Eau D’Ambre Extreme, Mon Guerlains, Roses Vanille, TT Eclix and Tabac Rose (which ends up being super vanillary)…. As a starter. Most of my vanillas seem to cross over with Amber which I Adore ❤️

I don’t like vanillas that lean too far into baked goods territory, but so many of my favorites have prominent vanilla notes. Gentle Fluidity Gold is my top choice from MFK,even above Baccarat rouge. For the value and the scent, That sexy pot roast Lalique has a permanent spot in my collection. I wouldn’t have thought of classifying Metallique as a vanilla, but that just goes to my original point about actually liking vanilla more than I thought. Your favorite skank crème brûlée (Vanilla Royale) is one of my faves to layer with. I’ve loved just about everything I’ve paired it with. Congrats 🎉on 10k, and your makeup looks great!

I also saw that the original 'Shalimar' contained civet, eww! 🤦 I never knew this... Nowadays, most of the renowned perfumers don't use animal products TG, but maybe still the ambergris..?

Same girl same!!! I never understood the vanilla craze with everyone else. It was really rare for me to like a vanilla fragrance - normally I gravitate towards fresh/citrusy forward fragrances, but have recently done a 180. It's very possible I just never got my nose on the more gourmand vanillas which I LURRRVVE. I wore Dior Addict in college and don't remember it being vanilla dominant - def more mature and classy, but now I want to get my nose on it again... As always, love watching your vids!

I have tried many times to expand the zone of my favorite perfumes, but I have convinced myself that I am a staunch lover of warm, sweet, embracing and long-lasting scents that have vanilla in them. Aura never disappoints even though its an oddball....its that weird minty thing. I put it away and then when I respray again, I always love it. My latest vanillas are Attar Crystal Love and my CocoVanille by Mancera. *Your red lipstick is super pretty.

The Aura is gorgeous! I get a odd smell at first . I would call it more medicinal than Pepto-Bismol, but once it dries down. it is absolutely sophisticated and beautiful. Such an underrated fragrance !

I love vanilla! I realized a lot of the perfumes I love that I wouldn't consider vanillas a lot of people do call them vanillas. I love Dior Addict. I wore Amouage Material yesterday and I love it but although it has a beautiful vanilla in it I consider it more of an amber.
I had the same thoughts when I first watched vanilla videos a years back - I'd think to myself, how is that a vanilla fragrance? 😁 Material is definitely heavy on the amber also. 💯👌

Lol, I’ve just become obsessed too with vanilla!! My favourite of all has to be Dior Addict. I have versions 2002, 2012 and am waiting for the latest version in the post. The mysore sandalwood in the OG 2002 is stunning. Orange blossom paired with vanilla just goes so well together. Love love LOVE a good vanilla. I absolutely love Lalique Le Parfum. It's like me, a little sweet, but pretty spicy, too. I really, really love it and if I had a signature scent now, it would be this one. I have a backup bottle and my first one is almost gone. I layer it at times with something, perfume or body cream or both, that has a caramel or dulce de leche note if I want more sweetness. And the bottle is stunning (plus makes a pretty good weapon, too, LOL). ~Cynthia

Vanilla and coconut are my absolute faves of all time! ❤ I have the Vanilla Fatale from Tom Ford and love it. Hypnotic Poison was my all-time favorite ride or die until they kept ruining it. I did manage to get my hand on an EDP several years ago but don't know if there are any floating around anymore. You would love the EDP. So sad when they reformulate a wonderful thing!

Great video & great tip abt the “inspired by” Google search cuz I buy the originals then get the dupes as travel companions & these dupes are really good! So much so that I be mad I shelled out hundreds of dollars for the original when the dupe is just as good if not better.

Hi Veronica. I picked up the Lalique on your recommendation maybe a month ago and really like wearing it. Even in warmer Australian temps (end of summer beginning of Autumn here now) it works beautifully and one I can wear to work without worrying if it’s too much for others.

Hi Veronica! I enjoy your reviews! I bought Tom Ford Vanille Fatale last year and I am enjoying it. I do detect a slight Play Dough scent that people mention, but I love the mix of spice, myrrh, suede and vanilla. And yes, you will sniff yourself all day! I also like Ani by Nishane because it’s a spicy vanilla and it’s long lasting. I recently purchased Initio Absolute Aphrodisiac and it doesn’t live up to the hype in my opinion. Don’t get me wrong, I do like it. It smells like exquisite vanilla ice cream mixed with leather. But is it extra special? Hmmm… Guess, I will need to wear it some more to find out! Love the YSL Libre line of fragrances. I have them all except the EDT. - Ms. Charlette

Vanilla is a comfort note for me. It's in the base of so many fragrances to soften or sweeten them up a touch. It must have been hard to pick only 10 from your shelf. I think you have chosen some lesser known options and that has made this video different from the other videos out there on YT. I have smelled or own several from your list today. Dior Addict is such a classic and I wear it in the daytime too. It's cold here and I can get away with stronger spicier fragrances. It's not even very spicy compared to a lot of other things I enjoy. Material is beautiful! I don't own it yet, but sampled it last year. It's their most vanilla fragrance, but my mind wants put it into the amber zone which often includes vanilla the accord. I get a lot of incense and cedar on my skin in the dry down. No one has said it, but Baby Cat gives me hints of Material and gives a similar vibe. They are not the same... Baby cat is lighter and sweeter to my nose. I have the Mon Guerlain Intense, which I need to wear in the daytime. I have only tried to wear it to bed and it was one that kept me awake for some reason. I also have the Libre Intense but my mind wants to put in into the orange blossom floral category because for me the vanilla while being strong, supports the florals. I would like to smell the TF Vanille Fatal and the Andalusian Soul sometime.

Yes, it's possible that several of these could be considered as other categories, too - all depends on how it reads to you (and even THAT can be different based on weather and such). Material, for example, is strong on the amber, too (an accord which contains vanilla, as you noted). I remember your Mon Guerlain Intense story - I've had the same thing happen to me with overspraying a strong fragrance before bed! Oof! What a mistake. Hi Veronica! I just bought samples of Ani, Eau Duelle EDP and Material. I’m afraid there is something wrong with my sense of smell😂 Ani isn’t the powerhouse I’d heard about. I love the dry down, but it doesn’t seem to project at all on me. My husband didn’t notice I’d doused myself in it. Material mainly smells like smokey leather, very masculine to me. Eau Duelle, I knew what to expect, but bought it anyway because I liked the fragrance when I tried it in store. Doesn’t project or last. I just want a perfume that I can enjoy without knocking other people out. My ideal would be a strong, projecting Sunny Side Up.
Hi Katherine! 💖🥰 Sampling can be so tricky! The experience can differ so much with a full bottle. I find Material to be very faint on the leather and quite sexy. I'm interested in Eau Duelle but I know it's not long lasting. I've come to accept that as the case with many modern perfumes. 🤷♀️

What a great list, I have to revisit Tom Ford Vanille Fatalle I smelled it at a counter when I first started my perfume journey and it wasn’t my cup of tea, but I hear the rave so much so many people like it, maybe it might be for me now I still haven’t been able to find a time for that works for me

I love Metalique. On me it's a soft clean vanilla that is very comforting. I love vanilla as long as it is not too much of just a sweet icing type of vanilla.

Sooooo happy about this vanilla video. And so many that sound amazing. If I want very vanilla forward this winter, I go for Libre Intense, Nebras, Un bois vanille (Nuit trésor à la folie, Black Opium nuit blanche), Joop le bain. Still on the fence about Lalique le parfum and Vanille insensée; letting them macerate a little. Was expecting them maybe to be sweeter or less powdery. Maybe better suited for Spring? I love my Dolce Amalfi and Poets of Berlin, as well as Decadence of which many say Poets is a dupe. I also own Vaniglia by Aqua di Parma, which is a cosy toned down unisex vanilla for office. Glad you included Addict - it is such a classic! I used to be one of the first to wear it back in 2006 and it was like a bomb - everyone was asking what that was. Terry Wasser is a genius.

Loved this one. Vanilla is a note that disappears on my skin (sigh) so for it to work it needs to be bolstered by resins/spices and woods. I love it but is “shy” with my chemistry.
So glad you pulled out Lalique I love it too. It grew on me and is very pulled together and elegant. I also enjoy Angelique Noire which I feel has the same vibe. I adore Mon Guerlain. I feel the regular edp is a more fluffy vanilla whereas the intense has that gorgeous Lavendar in charge. Lince rocks, I too let my HP Edt go. It’s not as it was very thin and weak. Metallique is gorgeous. I love the white Musk which really brings back my fav discontinued Ford - Musk Pure (I’m nursing the dregs of my 50ml bottle) just lovely and sparkly at the opening. Oddly I get a lot of vanilla out of the Maison Lancome line. Seems to like my skin.
As winter approaches I’ll be wearing my Vanille Fatale❤, Ani, Lune Feline, Boundless, Opus 1144, Le Lion, L’Eau D’Ambre Extreme, Mon Guerlains, Roses Vanille, TT Eclix and Tabac Rose (which ends up being super vanillary)…. As a starter. Most of my vanillas seem to cross over with Amber which I Adore ❤️

I don’t like vanillas that lean too far into baked goods territory, but so many of my favorites have prominent vanilla notes. Gentle Fluidity Gold is my top choice from MFK,even above Baccarat rouge. For the value and the scent, That sexy pot roast Lalique has a permanent spot in my collection. I wouldn’t have thought of classifying Metallique as a vanilla, but that just goes to my original point about actually liking vanilla more than I thought. Your favorite skank crème brûlée (Vanilla Royale) is one of my faves to layer with. I’ve loved just about everything I’ve paired it with.

In this time of great stresses (🌎) self care is important! It's so beautiful to turn to a bit of 'aromatherapy' and comfort...classic Guerlain is the Queen of the vanillas, and my life long go to, especially 'Shalimar Lumiere' has become my all time favorite.
Lalique 'Amethyst' is also a gorgeous blend of vanilla & sun warmed blackberry, like a balmy Summer's day at the beach...

I also saw that the original 'Shalimar' contained civet, eww! 🤦 I never knew this...
Nowadays, most of the renowned perfumers don't use animal products TG, but maybe still the ambergris..?
