Well you’re right Vanilla Royale sugared patchouli is very rich, warm and sweet. The Oud is understated and the patchouli is very nice. Love it! Thanks for the suggestion, and I added it to my collection in a travel spray

Those are all some gorgeous fragrances! I mentioned under another one of your videos that I had Lalique Le Parfum, but that I just couldn't get along with it due to the heavy dose of bay. Well, I never got rid of my bottle and it sat macerating for almost 3 years in my cabinet. The other day I decided to try it one last time, and lo and behold, it has mellowed into a beautiful dark juice that I was surprised I loved! The bay note has softened considerably and now I'm so glad I didn't get rid of it. La Nuit Trésor à la Folie is another favorite, and the bottle is just gorgeous.
I can’t part with it for some reason so I hope that I start to love it! 🤣
I think Buberry Goddess took us by storm. It's hard not to love such Vanilla fragrance. A composition that is done so beautifully! One of the best new releases this year I think❤❤❤

You feel the way about vanilla that I feel about rose. Good thing we have choices! There are so many types of vanilla, thankfully, one of my very favorite notes of all time, especially when paired with something like caramel or dulce de leche. My two favorite vanilla fragrances are still Lalique Le Parfum and Jimmy Choo Vanilla Love, the first one I can afford and have gone through a bottle and a half and the other one I can't, so I have dupe oils at this point in time. I wear those two layered, in fact. A new favorite is Black Opium Le Parfum which I bought by accident. I wanted it, but couldn't afford it, ordered the Extreme from an Ebay seller, but the seller sent Le Parfum instead and I'm in love! I really have to get my nose on Vanilla 28 one day. ~Cynthia

I like Donna Born in Roma. I smell the vanilla in the dry down but softened by the flowers in here. I also think of Libre Intense as a vanilla.

Burberry goddess was a love at first sniff for me. Can't wait to pick it up this weekend. Some of my fave vanillas are Kayali 28, la nuit tresor a la folie, libre intense, black opium la parfum, 7 virtues vanilla woods, Dyptique's eau duelle, Jovoy fire at will, and Initio's absolute aphrodisiac.
Really wanna try bianco latte and escapade gourmand, they both sound absolutely delish 😋 😊.
If i could only pick one, I'd go with clive christian blonde amber, but the price.... 😢

I bought Burberry Goddess after smelling it on a test strip pre-release in Australia. On my first use it lasted about 2 hours as I only sprayed on my wrists. When I overspray it lasts about 6 hours with a small sillage. I really enjoy it now.
I love to wear the Kayali Vanilla Royale, it’s my favourite vanilla from the brand. I love to wear it layered with other perfumes. It makes pretty much anything else smell more intoxicating and interesting.
I also really enjoy Mancera Velvet Vanilla. It’s spicy and complex.

I can’t say I was a big vanilla fan but since I bought Vanilla 28, I have been making combos and now I’m always on the market for a gorgeous vanilla! 😂 I took a pause for summer but as the weather is cooling down, I’m back on it. I totally agree with you on Donna Born in Roma. There’s just something in it that doesn’t agree with my skin. I think it might be the jasmine sambac, but I’m not sure. I really wish I could smell the goodness everyone else is smelling but it’s just an instant headache inducer for me.

Thanks for taking one for the team and reviewing vanilla fragrances! Yes! Bianco Latte is my current vanilla obsession. On the skin, it's not too sweet, and boy does it last. (€120). Also good and not too sweet is Royal Gold, by El Nabil. I like the middle eastern twist. And like 15€. If you enjoy By the Fireplace, you might enjoy Ameer Al Oudh by Lattafa. Supposed to be a dupe for By the Fireplace. It's a bit sweeter. Not quite as smokey, which makes it more palatable to me. And 100 ml was only 20€! It's a beast, too.

@@mariacollettlife no problem. I should state that the Replica dupe is Ameer Al Oude INTENSE. There is another Lattafa with almost the same name. Intense is the way to go!

I love Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli. At first I didn't know how to feel about it because she is bold! For me it is sweet vanilla and a very prominent leather note and I love it! I also love Alien Goddess intense, it is rich, spicy and sweet and I feel like a Goddess when I wear her. Bee sounds intriguing, I love the smell of bran cereal so I want to get my nose on this fragrance.
If you get a chance to sniff Bee let me know what you think...I think it's super unique!

I love the Valentino Donna born in Roma so much, it’s a nice fruity vanilla perfume and has a fresh floral scent too. It’s not juvenile or too sweet either, and I feel like it’s versatile and can be worn in the day or night

Hey Maria, thank you for the lovely video. I feel the same about vanilla. It just doesn't move me enough I guess. I do love Lalique le Parfum, because of the bay leaf. Its very different. Another one to try id YSL Cinema. Its vanilla, but it has enough almond and other florals to make it interesting and even slightly effervescent. There is a rumor that it is discontinued, but that is not actually the case and it can be easily found in discounters. My "vanilla" is Nishane Ani. Technically it is vanilla, but it's not, at the same time. 😂

A perfect Alternative for a la folie is: Police to be exotic Jungle...85% silimar and with Vanilla|28 even better.

Once again a wonderful video. I really enjoy vanilla fragrances. Especially with added notes. I agree Burberry Goddess has captured my heart at the moment. I’ve only had it for three weeks and I have half a bottle. I found the vanilla married together with the lavender very relaxing. 😊

Hi Maria! I had this video idea about perfume, and considering you are the queen of fragrance stories, I was hoping you would give it a go. What would Disney’s characters signature scent be? I am talking princesses, villains, sidekick, … whatever.
I got the idea watching Kathleen Lights video in which she claimed Kayali Juicy Apple smells like Snow White.
I’ve thought of doing that. I have a perfume for villains video in the works but wasn’t thinking Disney. Maybe I should do Disney villain’s instead!!
Vanilla is my absolute favorite note and I adore Tihota, SDV, Blanche Bete, Fire at Will and Insulo by Jeroboam. All are exquisite and full bottle worth imo. While I own Ani, it's trickier for me and not in my top 5. It can almost be overpowering but the others are 10/10.

I love Donna born in Roma but to me I wouldn’t put it in the vanilla category. I do get it but not a whole lot.
The first time I smelled Kayali vanilla sugared patchouli I thought it was too strong and regretted getting it. Now it’s been wearing me down and I really enjoy it and kinda crave the smell on me. One spray lasts all day on me.

I’ve given up on Skylar. I’ve tried a bunch and they’re gone almost immediately - zero longevity. Mercedes Benz Club Black is an amazing smokey vanilla marketed towards men but totally unisex. Weird bottle but excellent juice inside. Oliver Cresp is the nose 👃🏻 Atelier Vanille Insensee is a sparkling slightly citrusy easy to wear non-sweet vanilla. I am 100% with ya on Vanilla Royale Sugared Patchouli - so gorgeous, love it 💛

I recently bought Vanilla 28 expecting it to be my favourite but I was disappointed. I’ve been using a dupe of it for a while but I wanted something a little more up market - hoping it would last longer. It fades so quickly it barely last a 2 hours on the skin for me. It stays on the clothes but just not on the skin 😕
Also when I first sprayed it I was jump scared by the florals! But they fade down into a lovely vanilla 😂 I am a sweet treat excessively vanilla loving girlie so any time you said it’s too much for you I thought - that’s the one!

@@mariacollettlife I have just been using the Zara perfume Supreme Vanilla - which I was told was a dupe for Vanilla 28. It is less complex than Vanilla 28 but it lasts longer!
I haven’t tried it but I will try and get my hands on it because it sounded lovely! I’m in the uk though so it might be a little harder to find!

Julianna's perfumes has a dupe for Spiritueuse Double Vanille which are extraits and I think it's a good dupe. Their dupes are pretty spot on for just about everything they do.

I just had a chance to buy a 10 ml decant and I missed it. There's a guy in our group that sells full sized bottles for 170.00 USD. I think I might hit him up. I've been trying to do 10 mls more because I have so much, but it's hard.
I was iffy about vanilla and gourmands in general as I found them a bit immature and then Maison Mataha Escapade Gourmand entered my life. I sprayed it… nothing. 5 minutes later I was enveloped in the most delicious vanilla. Now I am in search of vanillas but nothing beats EG. HOWEVER I do love Burberry Goddess and I will get your recommended KayAli Pistachio Vanilla. Also, vintage Shalimar and the “Guerlinade” in general have a beautiful classic vanilla in the dry down.

Absolute aphrodisiac is my all time fave vanilla. Goddess doesn't smell like vanilla to me. Just ginger lol after letting it sit for a while I get a faint hint of vanilla but mostly ginger on me 😂

I have been looking for a fragrance that smells like you should be eating it with a spoon ... like a rich lava cake ( like girl of Now but the nuttiness doesnt lighten the scent but gives it a slight freshness i need something that is ... not stronger but denser) can you recommend something
Kyse has fragrances like that especially oui plus but they are taking a break right now. DUA has a few gourmands worth exploring. Pistachio gelato and banana foster….

To me all kayali’s fragrances are great for layering! Especially Vanilla 28 it layers with anything
You can totally wear them on their own! That said, they are fun to layer
Kayaking vanilla patchouli: does it smell a lot of Oud? I want to try it but I hate Oud
It's pretty oudy...if you don't like oud, steer clear 😀 go for vanilla 28 instead!
I can’t do most vanilla either, makes me feel heavy and nauseous, the sweetness is so stickily sickening. All YSL libre versions are a no go.
