You know I saw a video where Hugh Laurie was talking about how much you love music and that he wasn't sure how the other people would like his music but as a fellow musician I get exactly where he comes from. And even though this is not the type of music that I listen to regularly I decided to check it out because of the passion with which he spoke about the music and you know what I see? I see somebody like me who makes music just for the enjoyment and if other people happens to like it that's just a side bonus. I once heard a saying that we musicians are a nation of our own. And I just found a fellow Countryman who's music I intend to follow even though it's not the type of music that I usually listen to.
You know, I had no idea about this album. I don't know how I missed it, either. I adore Hugh Laurie, and he just gets better every time I find something else cool he's done.

The first time I listened to Stagger Lee was in a rock version. And here I am, with Hugh Laurie´s rendition. Gee, blues lives again. Imagine Hugh with BB King, playing piano and the lovely Lucille!!!
