Why Girls Rugby?

We're bringing rugby to young women from underserved communities in NYC, offering a safe space for them to learn and grow, nurturing the spark that is inside each one of them, so it can develop into a flame.
At Play Rugby, we're more than just a rugby club! We provide our program free of charge to all families, removing the barriers put up by typical pay-to-play youth sports models. All of our players participate in college readiness, financial literacy workshops, and develop the life skills they need to be successful in the classroom, at home and in the community.
