Want to know why Matt Molloy is great? Because he is Matt Molloy. To hear him interviewed in this setting with no time limit or presentation agenda is to hear him in a private conversation never before heard. He must have mentioned a hundred names of the "lovely men" he has known and played with. Talk about great craic! After 50 years a fan, this is the interview I've longed to hear.

What A treasure to have recorded. Three great flute players. Matt a legend , Paul a fantastic promoter of Irish Traditional music and an amazing flute player. Peter has his Fathers talent in spades. What an amazing meeting of talent. Great inspiration for flute players and for Irish Traditional music.

Thanks - great upload. Immense The Chieftains made Irish music immense global - recall The Chieftains in China. Los Patricios...all the artists they nurtured that went global...Jean Butler, Michael Flatley, Haley Richardson...

Something I've always appreciated from Matt is how he occasionally "jumps the octave" unexpectedly in a phrase. It adds a controlled and calculated wildness to the tune.

A Seamus Tansey (RIP) style also in spades.

Excelente! Si pudieran incluir subtítulos en español todos los hispanohablantes enamorados de la música irlandesa les estaríamos inmensamente agradecidos.

My cat left me for 3 days after I purchased a saxophone 🥲 he came back when I gave up and went back to flute 😊 Its just hung up as an ornament now🎷although my cat still get’s edgy if I so much as look at it
