The Bothy Band was an Irish traditional band active during the late 1970s. It quickly gained a reputation as one of the most influential bands playing Irish traditional music. Their enthusiasm and musical virtuosity had a significant influence on the Irish traditional music movement that continued well after they disbanded in 1979.

First reel is Dillons fancy...on the 1978 recording it was the flower of the flock...thanks for posting🎶
Glory hallelujah, another reunion of Bothy Band musicians--AND with Paddy Keenan this time!!
Will the new documentary about The Bothy Band air soon? If so, what is the link to watch?

I've been so lucky to have played with Paddy Keenan - a treasured moment in my life.....
Nearly twenty years ago, yikes! So good to hear ‘live’, all my recordings of theirs are on ‘old’ technologies - thanks for posting, such a treat❣️
45 years !
@@claudemorice273 I meant the concert, not the songs, lol. Didn’t want to do that math, so thank you--& I’ll take your word for it
@@janicegipson4691 There's more to come!
The best Irish group !!!!
They are as good as they were in the 70's
Fantastic ! Toe tapping inducing ! Thanks !
Brilliant!!!!
That's Paddy Keenan on the pipes
❤❤❤
Is it Matt Mallory on flute?
Molloy🙂
Tommy Peoples is listed above but Paddy Glackin is the only fiddler on stage. I believe Tommy was only in the band for the 1st album and then left to be replaced by Kevin Burke.🙂
Outstanding. I saw them play in the Savoy in Cork in the early 70s. They were outstanding but I don’t think I really appreciated how great they were at the time.
Scoth an cheoil ❤
🙌
hello? do you know what is the second tune ( reel ) after the flute solo?
