Technically the entirety of the band is a rhythm section, as there are no horns. rhythm section consists of drums, bass, guitar, and piano....and sometimes the singer is thrown into that designation in some bug bands.
When I tell people why I love Jinjer's music, I always tell them how each instrument's part is a work of art unto itself. You can listen to each song five times and have a unique experience, concentrating individually on the drums, bass, guitar, vocals, and all of them together. And each part is individually beautiful. And the amazing thing is, all parts together make something beautiful too. This is so incredibly rare.
jinjer is that gift that keeps on giving... everyone in the band is so talented, it is a well oiled machine where each part is giving something that would be missing. could you imagine them with another bass player or drummer or guitarist or vocalist? I could not.
Please, never stop doing these playthroughs. It's so awe-inspiring to get to focus on the parts that make the whole. and it's really fun to introduce the music to people who are not into the genre (yet) by way of individual tracks
This has to be the pinnacle of talent. I've watched bands get more and more advanced as I've aged, but I think we've reached a ceiling. And I'm here for it 🎉unbelievable control and coordination. 👌
The whole band is made up of precision parts, they are the gears that fit together perfectly to give a result that leaves you breathless, I love Jinjer
Just beyond any kind of words for me. The ability to reach this level, the brains work differently & it's remarkable their due diligence to continue learn & grow. Much love. 🥁🥁🥁🖤🖤🖤👊👊🤘🤘🤘🥁
@@coder4liberty It wasn't late. Just having a bit of a fun. I believe this was before the VIP's got to go in. I know I had heard them playing while we were waiting for time. Glad it did turn into the Drum N Bass Playthrough.
At 01:50 we can clearly see what sets the band apart from others in the metal genre. While another drummer would probably add a double bass drum and a square rhythm, this master does this and makes it more interesting and groovie
@@module79l28 I don't get what you're not getting. What's your point? I'm saying that in many metal bands the bassist just plays exactly what the guitarist plays, so I find it refreshing when the bass is used more creatively, and I'm saying that in many metal bands they use guitars with way too many strings and tuned so low that you can't even tell what's guitar and what's bass anymore. And I'm saying that it's good that Jinjer don't do these things. The guitar isn't tuned so low that it intrudes into the bass's frequency range and the bass actually does some interesting creative stuff instead of just serving as an octaver for the guitar
@@IdoN_Tlikethis - My point is that Roman couldn't use a lower tuning alone. If he eventually tuned lower than drop A (which I don't think he ever will), Eugene would have to follow and there wouldn't be no sonic cancelling from Roman. As for the rest, I completely agree with you, it's not very common to see a band where the bassist is not just the other member of the rhythm section.
from an old fart "Sabbath" bassist also nicknamed Zhenia, that is some wicked ass tight shit right there! Mastery! Love your use of slap technique, paradiddles synched with the kit! and "old school" double stops. BRAVO!!!!
For me this song feels like a technical démo of what the band is able to do now after years of different experiences and progress. 2024 jinjer state of art ❤
Not a better rhythm section out there today. Would love to see Roman included in some of these play throughs. He is sooo underrated, just like Vlad and Eugene!
I have always enjoyed the broke down bass drums or guitar bass drums videos you have done in the past. This is also another killer playthrough. I Love the band since first time hearing very awesome. Keep on rolling many years
I'm completely focussed by this video... as a bass player myself I'm very interested in Eugene's playing style. Thank you so much Jinjer for sharing this.
Great job as always, guys. Thank you for sharing your talent with us! This is why Jinjer is my favorite band :) please always share play throughs like this!! ❤
fk man. next year is going to be a fantastic year for metal, again. Jinher, Unprocessed, Ice Nine Kills, Make them Suffer, and Spiritbox have all put out some face melting singles. I'm stoked
@@PhilippErhardt-qg8xb not at all. Love an odd time signature me. Having said that, there is an underlying pulse that underpins this track, it just pushes and pulls and lot on it.
@@derrenleepoole I see where you're coming from. One still would it write in 4/4 normally though. I'm a drummer and just looked at some drum notation, it's all in 4/4. But I get that you were talking more about the underlying pulse rather than the actual notation. Appreciate your comment. Have a good one :)
Just saw you guys in Houston, what an incredible show! I was lucky enough to also get the signed drum head from Vlad and as a drummer myself, that was just perfect.
A rhythm section made in heaven.
Or somewhere a bit more South of it….

I came here to say similar 😂@@KyleKalevra

Is it rare? Love Jinjer, but there's a massive world of music out there my friend. Peace!
Its not rare, they just do it well. Alot of technical death metal bands do the same in their own manner.
@@NateSmith87 I think their note choices is this genre are somewhat rare. They are like technical gypsy metal.
Totally agree!
A lot of Opeth and Swedish metal influence, check them out
YES we need more Drum N Bass playthroughs for bands in general!
Eugene is a Gem. Very unique stylistic choices with his playing and compositions. Just a really good bassist. Really really Good!

Sooooooooo daaaaamn naaaaaaastyyyy!
Tati always kills with the lyrics but Vlad and Eugene are the ❤ of the band. Hell yeah, boys! New album is sounding solid!
What's really insane is their playing stays this tight even while they're live and touring! 🤘
This is at a soundcheck at a live show. They tour constantly!
Congratulations Vlad and Eugene, you both are awsome!

That bass tone is filthy 😬😬😬😵💫😵💫
I love Mudvayne and Eugene just has that inner Ryan Martinie oozing out of him. This was awesome to watch 🤘🏻
Definitely inspired by Cliff, Steve DiGiorgio, Bill Gould and Ryan Martinie... And I am 100% here for it
Eugene even said as much himself, so yeah.
Drumming is impeccable as always and Eugene's bass tone is off the chart!
As an electronic music lover, I read 'Drum N Bass' and rushed here.
Was not disappointed 🤘

Similar to brazilian rythms like samba. Angra and Sepultura use them a lot.
also a bassist who doesn't just copy what the guitarist does and a guitarist who doesn't tune so low that you can't hear the bass anymore
