The pianist that introduces them is the legendary David Foster who composed The Prayer and so many other legendary hits. The event in Las Vegas was built around him and all the performers were invited by him. He said introducing Lara to another song in the same event : "I’m gonna introduce you to someone… It’s gonna blow your mind ! Her voice, well, I can only describe it as heavenly. When she burst onto the scene, we couldn’t believe what we were hearing, it was a voice like from another planet or something! She made her mark here and then she conquered Europe where she has lived for most of her life. I’m so fortunate to live in a world of great voices but believe me this voice is at the top of the heap of great voices. (…) Wait til you hear this woman sing. Please welcome … Lara Fabian!" David is canadian as Lara and he produced her for a rendition of the Canadian National Anthem, probably one of the best ever. Michael Bolton also is an absolute fan of Lara. He said after this event: « Lara has recorded with me a duet, The Prayer, that David Foster wrote and produced. She flew in miraculously through Paris, strikes, flights delays and all hours of travel, to arrive just in time to perform with me at the David Foster and Friends event. Besides being an absolutely beautiful woman and one of the most warmest sincere people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet, Lara has been blessed with a phenomenal voice and spirit that makes her clearly one of the wonders of the world. She sings from the deeper part of her heart with divine tones, and whenever she wants such power, she takes flight and elevates everyone watching and listening. Seal and I stuck up to the side of the stage to watch her sing "Caruso" and were both blown away, as was the audience. »
Lara still has the same range and tone in 2024. Check the Adagio she performed 3 days ago at Royal Albert Hall with Hauser playing cello: ruclips.net/video/t57VGK_Hj-0/видео.htmlsi=PFHEhpcEhquJX5yS
Lara is an absolute fan of Barbra since she fell in love with Evergreen at the age of 8. So for sure Barbra has been very influential on Lara and it’s a fact both also share a crystal clear but soothing tone.
At this dvd David Forster said " She flew from Russia where she just had a huge concert just few hours ago, she came straight to L.V and she is now here to sing for us. She had no time to resting or rearsheal after 12 hour in an airplane." ;) They also didn't practice together before this love performance. Lara just made it from Moscow (after her concert) directly to L.V and started singing with him. She is so professional and confident. Did you notice one of the backing vocals claping hands at the ginal note the both made, I mean Lara's modulation at this final note is INSANE, passagio from mixed to head then mixed chest again going higher EFFORTLESS. The and only Lara Fabian as David Forster said. Ps: She also sang Caruso that night and David himself almost had an orgasm after her performance. Seriously. 😊😅❤
Gracias!
If you are up for a bit of classical (as in voice rather than music) Lara Fabian has a beautiful duet with Dimitry Hvorostovsky (a Russian baritone - one of the greatest, who died from brain cancer in November 2017). The song is called Toi et Moi. There are two live performances, one at the Kremlin Palace in 2014 and the other is at the New Wave festival in September 2016 (which was just over a year after Hvorostovsky was diagnosed). Both performances are beautiful.
The magician of our pain and suffering Lara, you are the voice, the songwriter and composer of the 21st century. Not sufficiently recognised as such We the Fans must shout it out loud.
This was actually a very, very nice rendition ❤ The song was done by Celine Dion, she rehursed it with a very, very young Josh Croban 17 years at the time, nerveus but good. Andrea Bochelli was to late arriving to rehurse. Lara took a slightly different spin on the song, very nice ❤️ Always loved Michael Bolton 🤩 He nailed it 👍👍👍
By the way your fave was very happy to let her team throw Celine under the bus even though she didn’t do anything and now she is all “Celine is my favorite singer”. Hypocrite much?
@@lizatsurkan4323 Lara always said that she had 2 favorites singers, Barbra and Céline so stop and clean your lying mouth, i must have seen her une douzaine de fois mentionning it. Again, get a life Liza
I am sorry, David Foster, who introduced the woman first, is Canadian and that was a really bad introduction. Because we know other artists and this couple Michael Bolton. Yeah, that was in my generation too. And this was the worst version of the prayer. How much did my fellow Canadian David Foster get paid for this? I'm sorry, but this was awful.

A duet with Lara - she always let her duet partner shine even she takes back herself a bit.
Resonance Queen Lara. ❤️

Michael has an opera album out called My Secret Passion.... he might surprise you.... and Lara is fabulous as always
i've not heard this...but i love them both ❤ agree about barbra streisand ;)

Love Lara ❤️
Love from Denmark ❤️
I agree that she reminds me of Celine Dionne and Barbra Streisand. Beautiful duet! Thanks Harri and Eric 🌺✌️

He nailed it 👍👍👍
I've heard many many versions of this. By far the best one for me is Josh Groban and Sissel. Absolutely fantastic, the best.
Μαγεία ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Nothing to do with the nasal tone of Céline, but with Barbra Streisand yes
Too bad Celine is much more interesting and much prettier voice
@@lizatsurkan4323 hahaha ya, nasal is very destructive...
Worry about your boring fave with her lifeless voice, leave Celine alone
By the way your fave was very happy to let her team throw Celine under the bus even though she didn’t do anything and now she is all “Celine is my favorite singer”. Hypocrite much?

You should really listen to the version by Celine Dion & Josh Groban or Celine Dion & Andea Bocelli
My favorite version is Celine and Josh
Lara stans just can’t keep Celine’s name out of their trap can they. They are probably pressed that Celine is much more interesting than Lara
Celine is so much more resonant than this muffled bottle

Lara has a good voice she is just boring
