Despite being a child of the 80's, the New Romantic original by Real Life completely passed me by - it was much better known in the US and Australia. Anyway, New Romantics were anathema to metalheads back in the day. But this cover has suddenly made me realize that if you fuse 80's electropop with metal and you get Modern Metal. I am happy to point out that I am not averse to Modern Metal, and this is an enjoyable coherent melodic kind of number. Well produced and arranged, it's worthy of your Modern Metal playlist.
