Thank you so much for your comment. I didn’t think they would say yes when I asked to see the kitchen, but they were wonderful. Hope you’ll subscribe to see more afternoon tea content. 😊
Glad you enjoyed it. Let me know about your experience. Just going to upload another afternoon tea video about Brigit’s Bakery in Covent Garden so please watch it and let me know what you think. Please subscribe if you haven’t already. Thank you for your support.
Hi G It all looked amazing. I had no idea that Claridges was so beautiful inside. I'm guessing it has been used in films when an Art Deco theme was required. Maybe a James Bond or an Agatha Christie. The little cakes looked lovely. Did they do gluten free too? Take care. V❤
Hey, glad you enjoyed the video snd thanks for the comment. Obviously this is something you do once, but have to say that I have never experienced such a high quality of food, environment and service anywhere else so far!
There are a number of iconic London hotels famous for their afternoon teas and Claridges is certainly up there with the best. Yes it is expensive but of course you are paying for the venue as well as the tea/food.
You are right and I intend to review quite a few of them in order to compare. Claridge’s is expensive but not the most expensive…. I tried another iconic place before starting my channel and it was a similar price range to Claridge’s but no competition at all. Do you have any venue suggestions for me to visit?
Why have a space for gratuity when they have already charged 12 / half % , I find this truly unprofessional of the hotel , sorry I won’t be going anytime soon 😮
Hi there. Thanks for your comment and I agree that it is cheeky but we didn’t add any extra gratuity… as they already add the service charge. I have been to other places where they have a service charge which I begrudge paying because the service was not up to scratch! I still recommend this afternoon tea because it was nearly perfect for me. Let me know if you change your mind! 😊
I’m sure they won’t miss you anyway so I wouldn’t bother yourself about going. But to save money walk to Mayfair don’t bus or tube far too much money and another tip just stand outside by the windows, that way you don’t have to spend any money. 😂
Wonderful video, and you saw behind the scenes. You are on another level! 😊

This was a FABULOUS narration. It’s easy to see why I enjoy London afternoon tea vicariously.
Glad you enjoyed it so much…. and it is very thrifty to do it vicariously!
My kids bought me afternoon tea here in January, hubby and 4 kids all coming too. So looking forward to it.
Hopefully you will love it as much as I did! Let me know after you have had your afternoon tea, what it was like.
I enjoyed this a lot!! Another point on my bucket-list. Looks so much more truly good and caring to the guest than the famous Ritz... very inspiring!

We had Tea here it was delicious and Amazing x❤
i love Claridge's ! Anything there is lovely.
I always think of Claridge's green as eau de nil (“water of the Nile”), but I see on their page to sell the tea set they call it jade.
I have had afternoon tea there, and agree with you. It is one of the very best in London. The Savoy and the Dorchester are right up there too.
I have yet to try the afternoon tea at the Savoy and Dorchester! Look out for my reviews about them in the near future. Subscribe for updates!

Hi there Val, glad you enjoyed the video. Yes they do cater for a gluten free diet.
I would only stay at the Savoy Hotel now because of the very friendly personality of their owner and the Thames river views.
how nice!
Nice video ... That Rooi-bos tea is South African ..
Thanks for the info! The Rooi-bos was very light and refreshing.
Looks great, but I could not justify the expense when I am able to recreate the menu at home, enjoyed the Video

One goes for the atmosphere not just the tea.
Haven’t been there yet, but it is on the top of my list!
I am sure you will love it! Let me know when you have been there.

The Gateaux!!
Wow the best for Last!
I wonder what their vegan options are? Looked delicious x
They are very accommodating..Try their best to please guests!
The most overpriced tourist trap in all London is the afternoon tea “experience”
£286 for three people for a spot of tea in a fancy Hotel. It’s the illusion of feeling rich when in reality, it’s just emptying your purse.
Looks like Chihuly glass up up in the air!
It is and is absolutely beautiful 🤩
Chandelier is Chihuly, the artist.Beautiful!
Rooibos is pronounced royboss😊
Thank you for that! It’s good to know the correct pronunciation. 😊
I am related to the claridge family my moms side of the family
Did you enjoy my video? I hope I did justice to this amazing hotel. Let me know and please share with your family and friends.
Fun info!

If the service provided was as over-the-top as the narrator describes, I would easily ADD another 8-10% on top of the 12.5% charge.
@@fitgraphisva The service was “that good!”
We did actually tip our server and the pastry chef.
Bill: 300 pounds.
I wanted to do this once because of the experience and although it was expensive, I am glad I did it! It's not something you would do again and again.
WAY too much cream on that scone! 🤣
You can never have too much cream! 🤪
Don’t forget to subscribe James. 👍🏻
@@ghazalasfoodandtraveltoo true !
Guest put the cream ON herself. I have a lactose problem, so would probably enjoy the jams.
@@barbarabaldwin7120 Their afternoon tea jam was delicious. I recently went and bought some for myself. YUM!
