I just put a front lip, the wildhammer dive planes and 50th anniversary upper and lower grill to show off my zzp intercooler. I got an FBO LTG

Hey did you paint the black parts of the bumper or did you just leave it? I have a black Camaro and I’m getting this bumper and so I’m painting it black but idk if I’m supposed to paint the grills too
I left them just the way they are. the only thing i painted was the bumper and the bottom lip.
I have an RS as well I have a question, Did you have to completely remove the fog headlights?
Yes I did.

No issues, it was an easy install
what is the difference in ground clearance from your stock bumpers to the zl1 package?
You should get the illuminated bow tie for the front grill

I ordered the ZL1-1LE style bumper. But I do know that the ZL1 basic bumper it’s made to have fog lights.

No I didn’t. With the style bumper that I got I had to replace the fog lights.
If you don't mind can you tell what was the total cost? I have a RS and planing to replace front bumper with ZL1 style along with the rear defuser.

hope that some headers,exhaust and intake with an aggressive tune is in the future for this bad boy. wake that v6 up...has a lot of potential. wheres the chevy flow-tie badge on the upper grill? also was this oem GM or aftermarket?
OEM Plus all of that will come in time. And the bumper is an aftermarket product. But I can still put on OEM grill which I’m going to be installing the upper grill with the flow tie badge. All of the little parts will be coming soon.

Is it possible to install the exact bumper without the 2 dive plate , I mean skip the 2 pieces (dive plane )?
If I did not install them will that left holes in the bumper?
Yeah it would leave a hole and you would notice it because there are holes on the bumper were you would have to put the canards. But I do know that they sell the ZL1 bumper without the canards.
There is another bumper with the DRL that doesn’t have the canards
Here I’m answering my self: I did buy (Ikon ZL1 1LE style with the 2 dive plane “2 Canars”
- There is no holes in the bumper itself, there are only 2 holes in the black air duct. 2 in the right and 2 in the left to be able mount the canars.
No holes in the main bumper.
I installed the Ikon zl1 1Le style on my 2018 SS and I did not install the dive plane canars.
Hopefully this helps someone one asking.

@@chylahellington608 I just got mine installed I only paid 350 for paint and install but it was cheap cause my neighbor works at a body shop I called a few shops in my area and they where quoting me 800-1100 for paint and install still not bad definitely worth the money

What happened to the daytime running lights Bc ik they run up and down on the v6 unlike the ss going side to side?
The ZL1-1LE bumper doesn’t have those light. And I had to replace them. And now I’m willing to sale them.
So hooking up the daytime running lamps wasn't a option?
they make another style of bumper. literally same bumper but the other bumper that i didn't get has the opinion for the lamps.
So do the fog lights get taken out since RS ones are vertical and the zl1 is horizontal
Yes but once you buy the bumper of a ZL1 it comes with the fog light cover and you can use the same RS fog lights on the new ZL1
Can i put an ss bumper on the rs ?
If you buy an SS bumper straight off another SS Camaro and put it on an RS Camaro that will not work. You’re gonna have to buy an aftermarket bumper that looks like an SS bumper but it’s molded for an RS Camaro. Look up ikon motorsports, and you’ll find what your may be looking for there
How much did it cost you to paint the bumper
Well it was not to expensive for me since I knew the person that painted my bumper. But I’m sure a price range for something like that would be around $300-$400 but I’m not sure. You can always call your nearest shop and ask them for a price Estimate.

The bumper came all together and it’s on the ikon motorsport website and I think right now it’s a price range of $800-$900. And then probably another extra $200-$400 for paint and maybe installing it but to be honest installing it was the easiest.

Most likely it will not fit because the newer Camaros are a little bit different than the older Camaros like mine. They have a new headlight and a little difference in body style.
I’ve been looking for one that fits on a 2020 rs but I can’t find one as well :(
Looe Keii they do not make them for the 2020 because the headlights on the newer Camaro are are different style from the 2017-2018 Camaro

Unfortunately the one in this video will not fit a 2014 RS Camaro but if you look at the website in the link below the video from ikon motorsport I know that they do make bumpers for that year of model

how much did all of that cost together?
I knew ppl that helped me out a lot but I will say for a full price for everything I would say a price range of $1,500-$2,000 buying the bumper and taking it to get it painted and installed. But after my experience the most easiest part of all would be the install. If you plan to do it take it just buy the bumper and take it to a paint shop and if you want DM me in iG and I can walk you through the install.

I actually made that badge myself with a laser engraver. But there is a website you can buy them from but I though they were pretty expensive for something as small for a 3in badge.

I took it to a shop where i know people and they gave me a good price. So i wouldn't know how much you would get change anywhere else.

Nice! I have the same exact car, 2018 Camaro RS 1LT White. I’m glad I get to see how my cars gonna look now. My IKON bumper has been sitting in my garage for the past 2 months, just havent had time to take it to the shop yet. Did you have the grille, front lip and canards painted gloss black or satin?
I had only the front bumper and the front splitter painted. I recommend leaving the upper grille and lower grille just the way they are. And of course the canards. Just leave them they way they are cause they look nice just the way they are.

Javier Alcala mann I always see these swaps getting done in hotter locations. I’m in Chicago and this is my daily driver, I’m worried about a lot of snow and water getting in through the lower grille. Have you had any issues when it rains a lot?

Yeah man but a better example is like having the iPhone 4 but there is the iPhone 11 Pro plus cause I do have an original Chevy car rather then a fake iPhone you know. But to me a car will always go down and yes I will lost a lot of money leaving the dealership. Having this car for my very first car ever at age 23 is a blessing to me. I’m grateful for what I have. The fun part of not having the real deal is modifying it almost like a ZL/1LE. And a car will never make me feel ten times better. I heading to buying my first house. When I’m seating in my new house that’s when I’m gonna see like wow, I made it all by myself. And that’s gonna make me feel even better than 10 times and that’s when the real investment comes in because a house sometimes goes up and sometimes it goes down, you know. Paint was around $300-$400 and it was a family member that did it for me so I got a good deal for everything but after seeing them removing the bumper and putting it back on it was a peace of cake. Ever since changing the bumper I’ve removed it myself about 5 times and it super easy.

Me personally I don't like the ZL1 kit at all It's ugly to me. Id perfer the SS kit instead
Zl1 front fascia does not look good even on a ss. It requires the wider body kit fenders. The front looks too narrow and out of place with that aftermarket zl1 front fascia.
