Game started out well, with both teams, playing nice through balls, great shots and goalkeeping and clean. But as the little ticky- tack fouls went uncalled, the players on both teams started to get angry and the severity of the fouls increased. The refs. no calls or inconsistency in the calls (or lack of calls) made it worse. Overall, most of the players still kept their cool, except for 14. Even trying to start a fight when his teammates are shaking hands. should have been tossed even before the end of the game. If league reviews video they should 1) send ref back to training, and 2) discipline 14.
I hear you rambler. But it’s still the duty of the referee to keep control of the game. That keeps players safe.
@Midnightrambler3760 Douchebags may be douchebags, but a good ref will keep them in check. Any good ref will be able to prevent games from escalating too far whether it's by cautioning or by abandoning the game. I've had games where we just straight up stop playing because we were winning, the other team had gotten their coach sent off, and the team started doing reckless fouls. It was clear they wanted to injure us and our ref, the best in the league, wasn't having it and called it right there. Still had 30 min left to play but it's better than risking player safety. This was when I was 16 btw.
That's the beauty of recording game footage. My high school soccer team once had an opposing player throw punches at a player. Our guy just gave him a big ol' bear hug to protect himself while others came to help break up the altercation. Both got sent off for fighting and the game was abandoned but we sent the league the footage we had and got our player's suspension annuled. His aggressor got banned from playing any sport for his high school career.
@Midnightrambler3760 its the refs responsibility to do there job though & not let things get outa control if you got players being dirty you call it.. #14 on the white team woulda been knocked the fuck out if I was playing against him the ref wouldn't have been able to save him lmao
If anyone is curious about the offside call during the sequence of play starting at 4:28: Being onside actually requires two players to be between you and the goal. Its usually one defender and the keeper, but when he passed the keeper, his teammate was no longer onside
Michael Matthews not really, you can still be onside if the player you pass it to is behind the ball when passed.
Adz B I agree with the offside call. From the angle of the camera he looked to be ahead of the ball and the 2nd to last defender

I think the goalie was just keeping him onside. But we have a horrible angle. It's definitely possible the attacker was offside. At the end of the day though, correct or incorrect the attacker failed to score an easy goal, so it didn't matter.

The ineptitude of the referee was probably the biggest reason that the game descended into a bad tempered farce.
The Pagan - the referee is not responsible for the actions or attitude of the players.

@@johnpratt8043 The referee is responsible for keeping control of the game. I'm a referee and if shit starts getting hectic, I'll stop the clock, and explain that if they dont reel it in, reds are coming out. Rarely do I allow a game to get to that point. Talking with players and coaches throughout the match helps a lot. Explain to them why you called or didnt call the fouls that you did. Keep a rapport with both teams and keep things light. But if they need some seriousness, I'm not afraid to give it

Why wasn't #12 white 2YC, RC at 14:06 for the 2-handed pulldown on Burlington's 3rd goal? Earlier, he removed his jersey after scoring Zagreb's 3rd. Basic calls that need to be made.
Hed already scored the goal there was no point in giving him the yellow card its better letting the play to go on that way both sides are treated fairly

They got to book a lot earlier to stop the leg breakers and overly aggressive challenges. They always say there’s that line between being assertive and being aggressive. Clearly they’re not just tackling for the ball strongly tackling just the man too strongly.

13:42 If you are a defender, never do what white #12 did. If Black doesn't score, #12 is sent off for DOGSO. Even though it was in the box which usually downgrades the red to yellow, the fact that he did not make a play for the ball means it's still a red and penalty kick. Not worth stopping a goal to be sent off and give your opponent an almost for sure goal anyway. Even with the goal #12 could still have been given a yellow for unsporting behavior.

How do the most obvious tackles not get called?
When they complained about that offside call at 4:28 I don't think they realized the keeper became the second to last opponent when he passed the defender. Thus making white #8 offside. Good call by the ref, bad opinion by spectators. Even happens at pro level, see below:

Its great that you have multiple camer angles but please chill with the replays. Not every save is worth seeing three extra times. I promise that one replay is enough unless its an extreme tackle or fight or something. Just trying to give constructive critisism. Your content is great, but it gets interrupted by too many replays far too often. But the content is great, so insane compared to lower level football here in Sweden.. ;)

What a good game by a couple of teams that -- despite a few technical mistakes -- really play well as teammates. There was a lot of brilliance mixed in with the mistakes, but it is hard to play a perfect game when you're tired. Black team is right -- white was offsides quite often with that long ball to the striker and use speed style they play. The second half got chippy and the ref missed an obvious one vs. Black defender at 14:42 and then calls a softer one vs. White right afterward (not good, that's how stuff gets out of control -- it's usually the ref's fault in any sport)....That #14 White (in the middle on defense) is a complete backwards-ass donut-eating dunce. That guy is a doofus caught on camera. Watch him at 15:07 get beat (even though his hands are all over the Black striker ready to receive the ball), then he takes a leisurely jog back behind the play while the other team has a scoring chance, so his teammates have to cover for him and wind up fouling because they are outnumbered. Then he does that fucking fat-man hillbilly walk over and gives him some sort of hockey facewash. Then when he is confronted, he hides behind his teammates. And WTF is this little two-year old looking dance at 16:04? He's lucky he didn't get called for moving too early on the penalty kick. Is he supposed to be the sweeper? He's useless. What a complete ass. Who coached this clown? He's fucking fired.

1st half wasn't bad. Ref needed to get the cards out a lot quicker in the second half (before he lost control of the action). My guess is his conditioning wasn't what it needed to be and he bagan to lose focus as he fatigued. I agree 14 should have been sent off a few times. IMO a few players on both teams should have seen red, but the ref doesn't always see everything.

Two teams who think they are better than they actually are. A few more fouls called would settle them down, and if not, yellow, red, gone. Considering there are no matches going on here in AL, it reminds me that what we wish was being played here is not always what we remember. These adults really just don't know how to behave...

Actually a pretty decent match. Fine goalkeeping, decent refereeing, amazing goals (1st white goal, 3rd black goal). I mean, it's obviously not pro-league, but it's pretty decent for amateurs. #14 from white team should get a 3 game-ban at least for that last headbutt. Another good job IST :-)
This is very far from decent refereeing or decent players. Everyone was terrible at everything.

For an amateur team, this is decent - so is the refereeing. I've played as an amateur for 20+ years, on both highs and lows - and this is not that bad - again, not saying they are pro, but they aren't bad :-)
Jonas Darnett Loges Yes I am better. Referee missed several situations, terrible whistle sounds, body language, split vision, communication. This is not decent refereeing at all. The players might be decent at playing but their behaviour is ebarrassing.

Freakin' obviously the referee misses calls, it's lower-league amateur players, not professionals - get a grib buddy. For THEM and THAT particular level, it's a decent game from all parties involved.
Oh, wow - "behaviour is embarrasing" - yes, that tends to happen in almost every. single. game of football. I promise that for +18 football, you'll ALWAYS have people in the games having trouble with their attitude - ALWAYS. Sometimes only 1 or 2 guys, sometimes entire teams. Again, this isn't the pros..

This was some of the worst football I’ve ever seen. Also some of the worst officiating I’ve ever seen and I watch EPL religiously. The tackles in this game were sloppy as well the officiating because the amount of dangerous players there was here is embarrassing.

Im american and playing semipro in the UK. I’ve already witnessed a fair share of that here. Much worse than what this video shows. The match in this video’s from Canada. I find it ironic this is happening in canada solely because their men’s national team is about to qualify for the world cup this year
The problem is we (the fans) are used to a modern-day Ref and his rule interpretations (obviously not this guy he was just crap) which don't allow any real physical contact. Thirty years ago this match would perfectly normal except for the huge Tarzan howl when tackled and the whinging at the Ref.
#12 on white should have been tossed for that pull-down in the box, even though the guy scored. Definitely better quality here than most games I see on this channel but still too much macho shit on the field.

@@ISTSoccer Of course intimidation is part of the game, no argument there, but I found that guys who were not very skilled nor fast nor smart tended to bang it up more to make up for their deficiencies. In this match, there are too many cheap fouls, and the game eventually teeters on the edge of chaos only. BTW, these vids are fun to watch so thanks for that keep them coming.
@@davidkyle5017 ya very true. just from my experience I found it very effective when a player was hard on me like that. although I'd like to tell sweet stories about how nothing got under my skin, it usually rattled me. After some animal bashes me once, everytime Im about to get the ball im more focused on where he is rather than how I control the ball - especially when theres good chance he wont be punished. On my team I like to have a couple savages - that can avoid a red if need be

I felt the Zangief team was much better than the Burlington Coat Factory team, especially in the first half. But they succumbed to the typical Serbia play style of "bash brothers" and started making the same bad fouls as the black team. It's a shame that the Russian team couldn't finish (or get a penalty when it was obviously a penalty) or it would have been their game by 3 goals.

decent match. so many fouls its a joke, and nearly all of them are one footed, they need to have more variety. too many stops as people dont know what do when they have to use their other foot.
Missed penalty definitely. Lead up to the first goal there was what seemed to be a deliberate elbow by the number 9 on the defender. A lot more yellow cards should have been given out a lot of petty fouls but nonetheless were deliberate and one or two should have accumulated at minimum a warning from the referee if not a card. On the third goal for the black team the player deliberately pulling back on the shirt of the attacker should have been a yellow card regardless of the fact that he scored. Apart from one howler I thought the best players were the two keepers. Number 14 should have been red carded at the end but if neither of the officials saw it then would have been impossible to give easy to see on replay but look at what the referee was doing at the time and a long way away from the assistant.
