I loved this concealer ( old version) but because it is so full coverage and hid my dark circles sooo much I started feeling like when I took my makeup off I looked like a completely different person. Although I love it, sadly its not healthy for me to use everyday as I'm slowly trying to embrace the darkness under my eyes. I've been using more lighter concealers and feel good with them. I need to pull this and remind myself how it can completely mask my very dark circles and maybe use for special ocassions. And for this reason I think I may enjoy the newer version as it has less coverage! Great review

If there is any way if we can tell them and their team some how that they can continue making their old product as well as new for people who like the new can buy new and who wants old can get that old one. u r an influencer and ur opinion counts. if some how we can vote for the old product to continue
I was really bummed about these changes as well. I definitely noticed the lack of coverage in the new version on myself and on you, totally agree with the hollow/dark showing on myself also. My shade (04) also is much less yellow in the new version and being someone with olive skin tone one of my favorite things about Kevyn aucoin was their brand was one of the few that wasn’t too pink for me, but is now :( also even though the new version has much less coverage it feels much less breathable and makes my skin break out in bumps, and doesn’t last nearly as long throughout the day. Wishing I had known and stocked up on the old version :( this was also my holy grail product for 15 years

Now I'm going to be running to tjmax and Ross and Marshall's to see if i can stock up on the old formula...to be honest in think it is a HUGE change.. if it weren't both sides would look the same.. but there's a noticeable difference even under your filming lights.. I'm sad too now

I bought the new formula, used it on a bride, set the under eyes with Charlotte Tilbury pressed powder, went over with Huda Beauty Setting Powder and that combo just created a disaster! I kept wondering what I did wrong, and now this video just explains that it was the new shitty formula. Glad I’m not the only one feeling this way about it.

I'll be doing a full review on this concealer very soon and answering these Qs there - no I don't think you can get the exact coverage from this one, even with layering unfortunately but there are techniques to make it work decently which I'll share in that video xxx
I know ;( the new one definitely has less coverage, after a couple days use that is confirmed, but I still like it more than 90% other concealers I've tried haha x
i miss my old sx3 so much :( i used to get it every christmas and that small pot would see me through every year. i got the new one 2 christmas’ ago and thought hmm new packaging okay cool, but i noticed it wouldn’t sit how it used too. id apply it like normal with my beauty blender but it would take of anything i put on underneath especially on my nose. i haven’t finished it i was so gutted. I was gifted it again this christmas and it reminded me of what i miss. no other concealer is the same, gorgeous doll like skin especially under the eyes. i miss it so so much, even the old lady makeup smell the product had. i try find it online but nothing. it’s nice i’m not the only one who isn’t keen. xxx

Thank you for your very thorough review! The other vids I found just reviewed the new version and didn't bother to compare contrast with the original version. I'm so bummed about this, I have hyperpigentation around my eyes AND deep wells, my concealer really has to jump through hoops to please me and the original KA SSE did that for me even though it was a bit harder to work with.

The new formula is much easier to work with. But I liked the concentrated version of the old formula better because I would use an oil based moisturiser underneath

Tbh the new one looks very dewy and more skin like that is very healthy and hydrated …you should give it a few tries ..I like it on you and your circles aren’t half as bad as you think …thankyou for review I will probably give it a go too 😘

I'm so glad to have found this video, but now I don't know what to do! I wear #10 (neutral medium), which has always been a perfect shade for me, but now I'm worried that the shade might have altered either cooler or warmer.
Yeah it’s so hard to tell tbh ;( I would recommend either waiting for a good sale so you’re at least getting it discounted it it’s not the perfect shade and you have to mix it, or of course visiting a counter and testing them out in person. However the KA counters are hard to come by jt seems :(

Hi again! (1 year later 😂) I just found the old formula still available in Loofantastic! I bought a replacement for my SX08 (they have only 3 shades of the old formula. 06,07 &08). They have also the new horrible formula, easy to see by the grams difference. A big hug 🤗

There are eye creams that can perhaps help you with it ♡ I noticed a difference with an eye cream with Paula's choice.
