    Its crazy how the Bridge 75 is so well tuned stock. With the foam installed it actually doesn't sound foamy at all. You can tell Shortcut Studio did their homework.

    Nice to hear that it sounds good without foams! I've been using the standard version for 2 weeks, just ordered a custom non-flexcut fr4 plate from tb, waiting to rebuild it with less foams and HMX switches next week.

    • @TAZAKEY
      @TAZAKEY  7 месяцев назад +2

      I would have loved a non flex PCB, but the FR4 plate definitely helps with making the sound "livelier". Paired with the HMX switches, sounds like you'll have an amazing clacky build 😉

    Hello, I cannot decide between the Bridge75 Plus or Rainy75.
    I like the fact that Bridge can be opened easier to mod.
    But I like the rainy75 sound better and overall aesthetics.
    Which would you say has most flexibility in terms of modding? I mean in terms of sound.

    • @TAZAKEY
      @TAZAKEY  4 месяца назад

      The Bridge75 is the more flexible board in my opinion, and the screwless case design is a real game changer if you're going to go in and tinker 🌞

    • @0nemoa
      @0nemoa 2 месяца назад

      @@BONKOYT in terms of modding they are equal. And if you like the look of the rainy more than go with that, once you get the keyboard setup the way you like you won’t be changing it often enough for it to really matter how easy it is to open. I myself like the looks of the Bridge 75 it has that classic keyboard look yet it is very comfy. The one thing I really don’t like about the rainy is the badge that is built into the top of the case. I don’t really like that on any keyboard. Not a big fan of badges.
      But yeah for me I have the Bridge 75 Cream with GPBT Ashe Black/Grey keys, they are very thick and it changes the sound profile of the bridge 75 completely. I have UNIKEYS X HMX PURPLE DAWN switches. And let me just tell you these switches are the best I have ever used. They even have better consistency compared to other HMX switches the Purple Dawn switches have + or - only 2 grams rather than the typical + or - 5 grams you will find on nearly every other switch they make. And it is definitely something you will notice. Especially if you are coming from your avg Gatoron that will have up to a plus or minus 15g constancy in some cases. And the operation force is perfect for me 55g with a bottom out of 62g. They are truly the holy grail of switches. So between the keycaps being much heavier improving sound dramatically, the way they look with the cream keyboard and then the switches improving the feel and sound more than I ever thought possible. I put in some Durock v3 clip in stabs and let me tell you, I was never a fan of clip in stabilizers but holy crap the Durock v3 clip ins install so perfectly and are literally just as solid if not more solid than a screw in stab. And sure you may say that is not possible but i can guarantee you that you will agree with me on that if you try them. The mechanism they use to keep the stab in place is a game changer. I will never use screw in stabs again. There is no need to as you no longer have to trade off rigidity for ease of install. You now get both rigidity and ease of install for an even better price than their screw in stabs. It’s great.
      Anyway, back on topic lol. The Bridge 75 with those modifications is all you need. I would say the same goes for the rainy 75 too. I just like the look and sound of the bridge better, as if you do that same mod with both keyboards the Bridge 75 sounds much more like there is no foam inside of it, compared to the rainy 75 which seems to sound a bit foamy unless you remove the foam but then it changes to sound profile entirely. The difference isn’t dramatic, but it is noticeable. And honestly some people may hear my bridge 75 and not love the sound, though I highly doubt that lol. I’m just saying personal preference is what the keyboard hobby is all about and there is no right and wrong. Hell i know people that still use plastic keyboards just because they like the sound profile more than aluminum or polycarbonate.

    How do you like this compared to the CIDOO V75 when it comes to sound, feel, and overall quality?

    • @TAZAKEY
      @TAZAKEY  4 месяца назад

      I prefer this over the CIDOOV75:
      They are pretty comparable in sound and feel, but I prefer the screwless case design of the Bridge75. Being able to open and close the case at a whim will also help with sound (you'll be able to experiment more freely on which combination works best for you).

    • @TAZAKEY
      @TAZAKEY  Месяц назад

      The stereo recorder is more representative of you putting your ears close to the board while the camera mic is more representative of the sound from a regular typing distance!

    • @TAZAKEY
      @TAZAKEY  3 месяца назад

      The sound difference is negligible between the two. Both will sound great and support many different configs. Added bonus for the Bridge75 though is that it's screwless so it will be more convenient to experiment with! Thank you for watching!

    This is nearly the same as the JRIS75 but for way less! (Even an HE option!)
    How's the front height of the board? The JRIS was just a tad high for my taste to use without a wristrest.

    • @TAZAKEY
      @TAZAKEY  7 месяцев назад +1

      No issues for me using without a wrist rest, but I am also extremely insensitive to case height. I want to say the Bridge75 sits a tad lower than the JRIS75, but someone will have to fact check me on that - I don't have the exact measurements on hand.

    Hi. Can u tell me where is battery charging indicator in this keyboard and if it can be turned off? Or there is sort of shortcut to check charging status instead of individual battery light? In my previous monsgeek m1w it was under the spacerbar and it was very bright (it can't be truned off).

    Yet another incredible board! How does this compare to Chilkey ND75?

    • @TAZAKEY
      @TAZAKEY  7 месяцев назад +11

      Great question! I think the largest differentiator is going to be whether you want a screen or not. Bridge75 has QMK/VIA support but is otherwise just a clean, well-executed keyboard. ND75 has a few more bells and whistles like the LCD screen and magnetic connectors (important to note that even the ND75 is not fully magnetic, and both keyboards will have one ribbon cable that you'll need to handle when opening/closing the keyboard).
      I like the MMD switches in the Bridge75 more, and the FR4 plate option is appreciated since there's only the flex cut PCB option for the board (ND75 is flex cut PCB too, but I believe non flex coming soon).
      There's no clear winner to me, but hopefully these notes are helpful. I do appreciate both ND75 and Bridge75 more than the Rainy75 from earlier in the year!
      Thank you 🌞

      @Tyler500x 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@TAZAKEY the notes are extremely helpful. i don't really care about the LCD screen much (it's like a nice bonus). Bridge75 looks better to me (aesthetically) and both Bridge75 and ND75 sounded great, but now you also say that you prefer the switches on the Bridge, so I'm definitely buying that.
      Thank you for the reply and the great showcase!

      @@TAZAKEY Thank you! For me they seem basically the same. After seeing your video about the ND75 I wanted to purchase it, because it seemed like a good deal. But now I am really confused and dont know how to choose, because it seems that the ND75 is not as special and unique as I thought. VIA sounds more useful and futureproof that some semi useful screen. But how does it come, that both are so similiar? Are they from the same oem? I dont get it..

    • @TAZAKEY
      @TAZAKEY  7 месяцев назад +1

      I don't have any visibility into the supply chain, but I wouldn't be surprised if some manufacturing capabilities are common across keyboard brands, assuming that they're not all vertically integrated. It's a tough choice between ND75 and Bridge75, especially since they're hitting the market with such similar timing. If you wait long enough to decide, maybe even more options will appear 🤔

      I can't really hear it in the space bar, but that might just be me.
      There is a bit of ticking in the left shift though, especially when all the foam is in there, but this is with my mic sitting right next to the keyboard. From a normal listening distance, I had no complaints over the stock stabilizers (they were tuned well enough to me).

      @TAZAKEY  7 месяцев назад +1

      Sound-wise, they are pretty comparable and the largest sound differentiator is just going to be the stock switches that come with either option. Both boards can sound great without foam and of course with foam as well. The ball-catch case design of the Bridge75 is more appealing to me though since it allows for quicker open/close of the case. I also prefer the cleaner aesthetic of the Bridge75 without the built in cloud motif. Rainy75 is going to be more accessible though since they'll be on Amazon (if you're from the US).
