IKR? I learned about proper flag handling at one of my jobs. I had a boss who insisted on that. He had US Coast Guard experience. It made me hyper aware.

My best friend is retired military. He’s been losing money, friends to suicide and definitely appreciate people take care of the flag.
They just closed Country Bear Jamboree for good at Disney! So if that is where the bear is from, it may be worth more now.

Put the bear in a pillow case and tie it before you wash him to protect him from being damaged. Love your videos! From Lower Alabama.
Hi lower AL; I’m in Auburn!
Add 1/4 cup of TSP to a full load warm washer on “Heavy Duty”
(Regular), when full add whatever smells of cigarettes.
Run full wash on warm.
No smell. (maybe a dink of a stain left.)
Or, you can pre-soak with TSP before washing.
TSP will remove All stains and smoke smells.
I need to try that stuff. Painters dilute it and wash walls prior to painting.

We used avocado oil because that’s what cook with mostly. Any cooking oil works

If you use Oxi clean with hot water and let the item soak the cigarettes smell will come right out! Tip from a vintage clothing seller!😊🤚🏼
I don’t want to ride in the car with it. I’m a big fat baby. But I’m really sensitive to smells. So I just pass on things if they smell like smoke

Put stuffed animals in a pillowcase when you wash them. It protects them an they still get clean. As for cigarette smoke, it washes out easily in th washer. A rinse in binega water first for particularly strong odors.

I have that exact wood oval frame. I believe I bought it through a school fun raiser. I'd say its over 30 years old. Still have the kids picture in it.

My father was military, and I have his funeral flag from 1984. Thank you so much for folding the flag as it should be. That showed the utmost respect. People don't get it.

White vinegar will remove cigarette smoke smell and pinesol will remove wood and fire smoke smell.

I too, appreciate you rescuing the flag out of the bin and folding it properly to take it home, Jeb. I brought one home too, because my sister and I couldn't stand to see it disrespected by being thrown around in the bins. After my husband got home from Viet Nam he had a year left in the Service, and was often on funeral detail, and folded many a flag like that. Thank you, Jeb .

I had that green and pink floral comforter. I bought it new in 1994 and had the matching wallpaper in my bathroom. I loved it so much. So feminine!

Gosh I wanted that bunny tote! I looked for the unpainted totes but didn’t see any or maybe I misunderstood. As always I look forward to the thrifting videos it’s the best part of my day. I feel like I’m shopping along with you! Fun fun!!❤❤
The unpainted totes all sold. I listed my painted ones yesterday and they both sold. The big tote with the bird is still available.
I wasn’t feeling the carousel and the paper Zeb picked, once it was done and put together all I could see is it in a little girls nursery or little girls room. So sweet. Why I ever doubt you I will never know, you get me every time. Lol
I didn’t either and then Zeb made it so cute. He’s got his own style and I am learning to roll with it.
That brass thing might be a Turkish coffee thing. They can go for a bit.
That may be a Ralph Lauren comforter. Reed and Barton is big. High end. I’ve never owned any silverware but, Reed & Barton Lysol laundry sanitizer gets anything out of it you add it to your detergent. Also, if you wash sports uniforms…Lysol laundry sanitizer. 👍 sanitizes, and no more odors.
I so wish we had a good Goodwill here. Our house burned and our insurance, even though we thought we had good insurance, is not wanting to pay like we were told.

I just came back from Value Village in central Alberta. The prices have gone mad. The shelves were stocked with barely anybody shopping. And they still expected the customers to check themselves out at the tills. So you pay more for their junk and you get to work for free. I doubt I'll go back any time soon. I know you avoid them, but could you hit up an expensive thrift store in your area (if there are any) just to see what you'd pick to flip.
All our thrift stores are competitive but maybe we’ll go visit an antique mall

Any material smelling of smoke just needs soaking in washing detergent and washing in a machine and outside line dried. Easy Peasy.

Never pass up a white vintage coverlet. I don't care how stained. I have removed even the yellowing from previous bleaching damage! Bloods stains also. I have restored several. Get a storage tub. Boil water, put 4 cups of oxy clean, and soak it for a couple days then wash. Comes out whiter than it probably ever was.

I've stopped smoking and the smell goes away from clothes or fabrics if well washed😊 even if you feel the need to wash twice. Don't leave good stuff behind😊 i advise sun exposure before if you can... the smell fades❤

@@dawnaanderson7129 I just say what comes to my mind. It’s not staged or scripted. You would be surprised if you were filmed how many words you would use frequently and annoy people. Definitely not intentional on my part but also hard to control and still be who I am.
I’ve been able to get cigarette smoke out by leaving the item out in the sun. I usually pass on smoke smelling stuff in the winter because of that
