Part 1: Johnny Depp's defamation trial against Amber Heard | April 26

  • Johnny Depp's defamation trial against Amber Heard continued Tuesday after the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor concluded a grueling four days on the witness stand. Depp sued Heard after she wrote a 2018 op-ed piece in The Washington Post in which she referred to herself as a "public figure representing domestic abuse." She never mentioned Depp by name, but Depp's lawyers said it was a clear reference to accusations Heard made in 2016 when she sought a restraining order against him. Heard has filed a countersuit against Depp that accuses his lawyers of defaming her at his direction.

      It would be so empowering to male victims and people who suffer Narcissistic Abuse for Johnny to be cast in a role/movie where he is undergoing this malicious covert Non-Fatal Intimate Battering. And I agree, Johnny is definitely representing others. You can literally see the life coming back into his face. That has got to be encouraging to others who have been shamed into silence.

    • @stormysamuel4666

      There is so much abuse on both sides. Until BOTH sides come/work together it will never be solved. Johnny doesn't have to represent you, represent yourself and every abused person, men, women, children by speaking up!!!!!!!. I am a female that 4 male relations tried to abuse and intimidate, NOT THE ONE, I stood up and fought back, got a law passed in the state I lived in to fight against abuse passed. Don't just talk about it, DO EVERYTHING LEGAL TO HELP STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • @free2thrive
      @free2thrive 2 года назад +4

      After listening to the testimony in court for both sides, seems AH started the fights. Makes one wonder, if there wasn’t an AH would there be any charges of abuse reported about JD? REally hate that “both sides” argument. It is NOT both sides in DV. There would be no issues if one-side didn’t begin it or over react to natural life happening and introduce it. And I’m talking about emotional/verbal behavior that shows up way before the physical starts.

      People keep saying why are so many people interested in this case? They should be! Because this happens to so many men and maybe if it’s publicized and More men would step up and feel heard. The fact that some people don’t understand why anyone would want to follow this case tells me that they probably believe a woman can never hit a man.

    • @JustaMomnFamily
      @JustaMomnFamily Год назад

      You hit the nail on the head. Well said. I am so proud that JD came forward. I know it must have been very hard especially since the London trial where AH's "story" was never questioned (by the sounds of it). They just took her word as truth. As seen by her words when Camille asked her about DONATING the 7 million and Amber saying she uses pledge and donate as the same. Bet she wouldn't have said that if Johnny ONLY pledged the 7 million to her but never gave her the money. But somehow she got away with that lie in London. Johnny continuing to fight not only is great for all male victims but for all the victims that had to keep fighting to be heard and believed. All because of Liars like AH. making it harder for people to believe victims that are TRULY be truthful, unlike AH!!

      Amber Heard is a spoiled rotten rich creature who feels entitled to be worshiped as though she's God Almighty. She's very selfish & demanding of everyone accept herself.
      Is JohnnyDepp perfect? No. He jerfs help & support. He's an addict & always will be. But he may not always be in active addiction. JohnnyDepp was the 1 abused & neglected. Amber had thus schemed out the whole time. From the very beginning.
      JohnnyDepp will not die lonely by no means. I do pray he is already getting help & I do feel this trial will help him heal & help him see & realize that he is loved. He has an extremely unique character that simply cannot be replaced. There's really nothing so absolutely special about this Amber, though, on the other hand.
      U know, when this 1st came about about JohnnyDepp & DV, I thought 🤔 perhaps like, REALLY. Leaning more towards probably so just because he's a man. But DV goes both ways. My mother seemed to thoroughly enjoy picking & nagging at my father. Things was made worse instead of calmed down. Much of the way Amber nags at JD in the recordings & the smirks & glares.... it's almost triggering but on a much cheaper scale accept there was 3 children involved who all struggle in life with mental illness & addiction.

    I live in the DMV area and I bumped into Johnny recently at my restaurant and he could not be more genuine, I was with my son and we were both intimidated at first and couldn't look him in the eyes but he quickly warmed up and made us feel comfortable. We talked about music, how I wish the viper room still existed and he gave my son a guitar pick that he had just signed his initials on and told him "the next time we cross paths I want to see some wear and tear on this pick" told him to practice and follow his dreams no matter what, literally a life changing moment that we will both cherish. It was so refreshing to meet someone of that caliber of celebrity so humbled & down to earth, doesn't care about status or "fame" per say where I believe Amber is from the generation of "fame" and attention from paparazzi is the end goal. These two were toxic for eachother for sure, but I honestly couldn't imagine Johnny being abusive or being the aggressor in this. I feel like Amber decided she would "ruin" Johnny after the courtship failed and this case will be very important in figuring out the "grey area" that exists with an abusive partner where you are being physically abused and you have no other option but to atleast shield yourself, or pull the person close to you so they can't punch you anymore. I believe this is the extent of what happened, Johnny couldn't have done anything else in that scenario besides leave which didn't seem to be an option most times.. I hope this atleast begins to free Johnny's name from being associated with any sort of domestic violence. Is anybody honestly still on team Amber at this point?

    Histrionic/Borderline Personality Disorder is a spot-on diagnosis for Heard. Emotionally dramatic and the use of the drama to manipulate and control, complete self-absorption and the need to the center of attention. Heard's lawyer became almost combative in her attempts to discredit Dr. Curry's testimony but to her credit, the doctor remained calm and focused. A real professional.

      One of the biggest dangers is that if you stay with a woman like AH for that many years, you´ll start to believe its your fault. The episodes with rage and violence are often followed by the exact opposite a very calm loving demeanor. Or its followed by denial. Apart form the timetable ,its a textbook example of brainwashing.
      If anyone is in a relationship with someone like AH, Im not telling them to get out. Im telling them that if you dont, you are going to need professional help afterword if not before. Living with crazy will severely affect even the strongest mind when love is involved.

    I have learned SO MUCH today from the Dr’s testimony. The live stream konked out near the end and I missed her final comments. THIS is also why premarital counseling is so important (or used to be) so each person knows ahead of time who they are and how they respond to things before they marry someone. I don’t think many take the time to do this now days and so many marriages suffer terribly because of that. This testimony backs up very well the recordings we heard yesterday that Amber made. I feel bad for both of them and hope they each get the mental help they need to move on and be productive.

    In the beginning of the trail, they were speaking a lot about Johnny´s childhood. Which had violence coming from the mother. Defense was trying to use this against him, but it is actually in his favor. Psychologically it is proven that a son always looks for qualities in the partner that are comparable to the mother. A daughter looks for qualities in a man that remind her to her father. This means that Johnny´s subconsciously looks for a woman that has a preference for violence.

    • @jasmenwright4064
      @jasmenwright4064 2 года назад +1

      That's debatable considering his past relationships were pretty healthy. I think it wasn't that he subconsciously chose amber because of this reasoning, I think what occurred was once her violent nature presented itself he most likely felt it to be normal and even if he understand its not, it felt normal. I don't know how to explain it. 😕. If it were him subconsciously choosing women with these traits, he'd be in sort of revolving doors. Abd because it's subconsciously done he wouldn't immediately correlate his choices w women and his child trauma. Just my opinion.

    • @A358M
      @A358M 2 года назад +1

      @@jasmenwright4064 You read my mind to the T about JD's treatment of his prior relationships. He treated each one with kindness and love. I'm sure his past relationships didn't entail violence.
      Considering how his mother was,I think he turned out to be a very caring loving,civil man,as did his sister. His sister said it herself,she and JD were going to make sure they'd never repeat the same cycle unto their own future famalies. They didn't. Both are extremely effectionate and loving,kind and caring. In fact,both were very devoted to their mom until her very last breath. Johnny's sister said on the stand how Johnny made sure he set up his mom with a home near him so she's not alone.Both siblings shared responsibilities in taking care of their mom.He had his children visit her and have her relationship with her grandchildren. As for his drug/ alcohol abuse. It's Hollywood and in Hollywood drugs and alcohol is a way of life,a way of coping with the industries pressures. I believe his drinking and drugs were part partying part rebel part industries stress. His drugs weren't due to his childhood "issues". Johnny Depp seems too badassery to sit around and whine about his mom's illness,or "mommy" issues. Seems in his adult year's he had a good relationship with his mom,and seems evident he never made his mom feel guilty about her abusive past behavior to his father and the family.
      Experts say the abused become abusers. Experts are wrong. JD and many other's are proof they don't become abusers. They learn how to cope and deal with their past with non violence. What I believe to be true is that AH was diabolic,verbally and physically abusive woman by nature. She pushed every button until she broke him down. Like his father tolerated his mother to abuse and and belittle his father,DJ mimicked his father and tolerated AH physical abuse, her belittling him,making him feel worthless so she could feel powerful. JD's mom might have had childhood trauma,a victim of physical or sexual abuse idk? But AH is diabolical by nature. Some people are just rotten by nature. A pretty outside but decaying corps inside.

I'm glad Johnny is speaking up and out about their vial relationship. I'm sure she loved him once, in the beginning, who wouldn't, look at all his earned money and stardom. Now she needs to Take A Seat! I did say Seat not S_ _ _!

    BPD is a serious and complex mental health condition and in my experience of being in a relationship with someone that has this condition and watching them struggle even just with themselves I think that people should try to get a little more awareness on the subject and think not just of AH but also all of the people that have BPD that must be demoralised by all of the ignorant and hateful opinions that are floating around and being posted online. BPD is like any other mental health challenge and nobody no matter what should be blamed or condemned for being inflicted by it. Hopefully, if anything this case can shed some light on the importance of people seeking professional guidance if they find themselves caught up in a dysfunctional relationship. Ultimately, I hope that both AH and JD can each both find some kinds of clarity, closure and dignity from this experience.

    I can't stand celebrity gossips, but I have been looking at the Depp v. Heard case in the Circuit Court of Virginia because rarely do you get a chance to watch the techniques of Top Barristers doing this style of cross-examination of Top expert witnesses! Usually these cases are behind closed-courts. I am watching for their cross-examination styles and it is a very interesting #learning #opportunity #supremecourt #legal #school #law . I suggest all those interested in becoming a Barrister to have a look at the way they adjust their styles in the course of cross-examinations. This is a very unusual opportunity to see them work LIVE.

    Many children who have been neglected, abused, disowned by their parents suffer from abandonment. People say get over it and that It was in your childhood, but the reality is those formative years impact relationships, respect of authority, coping with life obstacles, basically adulting. Therapy is so very important to give each other the tools and skills needed to navigate life in a way that allows joy in one's relationship.. work, career, hobbies, friendships. Not all BPD are outward destructive but inward. Still hurts relationships. When a child maintains their relationship with their abuser for years the family becomes dysfunctional for generations Add another traumatic event such as a divorce, death of a spouse, child, loss of employment or home and life becomes intolerable.

Ms. Heard’s reactive episodes toward Mr. Depp (i.e grabbing or clawing at him when he tried to distance himself from her aggressive behavior and outbursts is a good example and validates that Ms. Heard has a personality disorder(s).

    Isn't it just a little odd that the Judge allows Amber's lawyers to declare heresy before Johnny finishes a sentence or word at times but when Johnny's people call heresy the Judge lets them continue the question and see what the witness says first before ruling? 🙃 Is there an actual legal reason for this? If not it's feeling a lot like judge bias.

    • @MG-qj7ex
      @MG-qj7ex 2 года назад +1

      Usually doesn't mean bias it's just ensuring she doesn't have a situation where they come back and say it was unfair if they don't win. It's clear who would be causing the most trouble if they don't win. Especially if you take away everything else that's happening the crux of it is did johnny depp beat her? And the answer is clearly no, so she may be just looking at the long game. Also if proceedings were halted it's usually the defendant and she wouldn't want any reason for that to happen.
