I was in Africa a long time ago about 40 year ago when I was in the military and was oddly taken in to one off the tribes during one of there ceremonies was scary but was told I was safe was the most moving music I ever heard... was told later on it was a privilege to be invited their it lasted all day and part of the night

After hours of exploring tribal music, I come to the conclusion that every people, from every part of the world, used to make beautiful music. Ancient tribal tunes, no matter from where, always shift you to a place you want to visit, far away in dimension and time.
This music is gently telling you that the world has a rhythm, and you can keep going if you stay in step with it. The Zulu have their parallel “walking music”.
Born in England, over 50 years in Africa (as a post-colonial 'white-boy') (respect). Africa the diversity, the people, the music, make me one of you. I am privileged. I miss you with all of my heart.
I'm not saying because I'm African-American, but I love African music. I also enjoy European music, Asian music, Native American music, Latin music, and Caribbean music.
Lovely sounds, we just finished a 2 year trip by motorcycle through Africa passing the East and West coast. We love Africa and all what comes with it :)
Anyone else like to come back every once in a while and listen to this to see how much influence they can hear on jazz and every genre that has evolved from this? I can definitely hear the syncopation and pentatonic melody.
I really like your comment! Gorgeous ancient and newer African renderings, I believe, are the foundation of many genres of music in many parts of the world. We can all trace our paths back to the African soil, air, rivers, art and music.
I love the simplicity of African music but also how catchy it is. It progresses like a stream into something very beautiful. It’s my favorite kind of cultural music.

Hi! I can't wait to have my first trip to African continent! Wonderful music as well as the different peoples from Africa, its nature, its music, its dances. Love Africa! =)
Africa is a must in your life. You have to make it there. it is good to enjoy the music, the nature, the people. Don't forget that people include a bunch of white guys that can make a city look totally different
I hear these traditional beats, rhythms and singing in modern music - in ska, soul and disco music - the music I love listening to. I hear the influence in R&B, jazz, rock and roll, gospel and most kinds of pop music.
I have never been to Africa, but a mood suddenly struck me and I looked up african music. I enjoy this! it makes me want to move (if what I am saying makes any sense)
He/she was born in the Savannah, raised by lions. They fed it, cared for it. And loved it. But its only family, the mother lion. Got killed while it was finding food. Sadly the other lions betrayed the cat. And then tourists found it. They put this music to cheer it from its sadness. Then they took it to the adoption center where your friend found it. Its sadness became anger. Then they heard this song. Reminding it of its mother. And it's past life. Now its a gentle house cat. The end
A friend of mine had a theory that African Americans were so attracted to rap music because the drums and percussion instruments sound similar to ancient African music, and sure enough, he was right. Same cadence, same rhythm, same vibe.
