I am so glad you made this video! I’m still new to this and it helps to see that everyone makes mistakes, and there are creative ways to fix them without destroying the whole album!! I learn a lot from those who have gone before me!! Thanks!!
I so needed to see this. I have a shelf I put my “ mistake “ projects on. Believing I’ll one day come back to them! Now…….. after watching your tutorial I can take some of your ideas and apply them to my mistakes……..I can now finish the project ! Really appreciate all the time and project ideas you share here🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you Rosa! This was a wonderful video and so helpful to me as a beginner album maker! Another video that I'd like to see would be on the different types of adhesives and how to use them.
Thank you for this! I just did my first album this week (I followed your 4x4 tutorial), and I made 2 mistakes on this list...lol. I also adhered my pages too far down on the hinges so the pages don't lay flat when the book is open. I'm going to try again this weekend. I'm so glad I found you!
Thank you for 1) being a wizard with paper fixes. 2) being so delightfully human as to make those mistakes in the first place. You are amazing. Thank you for sharing this important information
Thank you so much for sharing these tips and tricks. I’m just in the process of creating my very first mini album and having this information at hand will most assuredly save me time and money because I know I would most likely want to start over again and would have to purchase more paper. I now know there are ways of camouflaging mistakes and making repairs. Much appreciated. Heather
what an encouraging video Rosa! I think it is important that people aren't afraid to make mistakes and that there are ways of being creative to cover them up!
Thank you for sharing. You should make more videos like this one to assist others especially New beginners. Hugs and God's Blessings to you and your family.
And here I thought you were perfect 😄😄 just teasing you. Your albums are gorgeous. I have followed a couple of your tutorials and loved the results (results I would never have gotten on my own). Thank you for this and all your videos. I know it takes a lot of time on your part to do them and I know I can honestly say WE APPRECIATE ALL YOU DO FOR US. Take care.
Great tips and hints!!! Rarely do you see someone showing you the mistakes and giving examples like you did!!! Absolutely LOOOOOVE that Alice journal!!!!! It's got my favorite colors: Purple and Black!!!!
I'm SO glad YOU still make mistakes!!! LOL. you are my inspiration to make my FIRST album ! I'm very nervous because your work is so impeccable!!!! If I can be half as good, I will be thrilled! Thank you for all your tutorials. ❤❤❤
Thank you Rosa for showing us that even the pros sometimes make mistakes! And thank you for being so humble by sharing examples from your own mini albums. These are great tips!
Yes, this type of video is very helpful Rosa! I’m so glad you are teaching us how to fix our mistakes instead of just ripping up paper. I especially liked the tip about fixing the spine with brads. I hope you do more. Thank you!💕
Thank you so much! I just made a mini album for my grandkids and accidentally put a pocket in upside down! Now I know what I'm going to do about it!! I can't wait to fix it now! Thanks again!
Rosa, This is an awesome Video. I personally have had some mistakes on a few of my projects and was able to fix them, but, you have given us other options for other mistakes. Yes, please do more of these videos to help us repair our pages without having to take the pages out. Thank you so much for doing this. You are an excellent teacher and you think of all your students and their needs to be creative. God Bless You.
Thank you Rosa! I have also made some of these mistakes. One item I have found useful for some fixes is Un-Do. When it dries it can easily be re-glued.
Thanks for this quick video Rosa I try my hardest with every album I make but they are not perfect I have trouble making everything straight but I know practice makes perfect I may be a long way off perfect . I watch all of your video's as you are a great tutor
Rosa = I have just discovered scraping during the free time that Corona allowed me - I love watching your videos and learning from you - I began with making cards - bookmarks and small folders and am now getting into albums - especially for new babies!! thanks so much for your tutorials - your name is well known in Israel among the scrapper community!!! Did you know that???
Very good tips! I'm working on one that I put the page on backwards and wanted to rip it off the hinge, because I like my layout papers to match. It was the next day that I noticed it and the glue had already set. I'm making due with it anyhow, but thanks for confirming that we should not pull them off the hinges.
I like your idea of the brads in the spine. Maybe that could be an idea to do before the paper is put on. Then you don't have to worry about your spine coming apart.
I love this video - thanks so much for sharing your expertise with us. LOL - I'm glad I'm not the only one who does these things! I most certainly will use your really inventive fixes. :-)
Wow, thank you very much for this great idea for securing your spin. I was going to use the small grommets, but this is a much better idea. Thank you again :)
Great video on showing how to fix mistakes. Lol, I know I've made mistakes on my albums. Lol. Or do after- thoughts on adding something on. Thanks Rosa.
Thank you so much for sharing. This will be so helpful as my niece asked me to make her an Engagement/Wedding Album and I have so little experience. I have been crafting for 25 years, but only made 2 mini albums. My biggest mistake is not leaving a large enough gusset to accommodate my page insert. Also with a spine too small, it already has an alligator mouth before adding any photos. Ugh... I hope the album for my niece turns out nice. 😬
Thank you so much for these tips. I had been making mini albums and got into making embellishments and cards and ephemera and not albums. Now I am back into making albums and have made quite a few mistakes. As you showed here I forgot about the magnets, and had to relearn about waterfalls, and find myself forgetting a closure and already stuck the papers down. This was a great video, and maybe you could do another one if you find some more useful tips. Do you have any tips for making the spine stronger, as I do like to make lots of flips and flaps but don't want to overdo them.
#2 - my concerns as well regarding the hinge/weight of page. My thoughts to extend the page hinge to support the heaver page size. We all learn as-we-go onto new designs. Thanks for sharing these important issues. NY-USA
Thanks for these helpful tips... I have one... I glue tyvek onto the back of the card stock before i use it to make my spine/hinges out of. Then I score and make it into a hinge/spine as usual.. I also glue down a piece of tyvek onto the middle of inside of cover card stock about an inch wider on each side than the chipboard binding piece before i glue down the chip board binding on top of the cover card stock, (Tyvek between cardstock and chip board binding). it is hidden inside when you fold over card stock to cover chip board pieces. Tyvek is so thin it leaves no bulk... Tyvek same material as white fibrous mailing post office pouches. Sometimes I don't glue the spine onto the back middle hard back binding and just have a floating spine makes album very flexible and lays flat. With at least 2 inches of tyvek covered spine ends glued to inside of front and back cover it will never tear or rip very strong. When all the pages are covered it still looks pretty. Hopes this is useful to someone and makes sense.!
Thank you Rosa!! Would you please tell us how you keep your pages looking so clean and neat while you’re creating them? Somehow mine get little marks and weird glue smears - yes, I am being so careful to keep wiping my hands and try to only set the pages down on a clean counter but I promise, it’s like once I build a page it’s a dirt magnet. Also, a tip, if you glue a pocket on upside down you can just glue another pocket to the bottom of that page - instead of a flap like in your example. No one will ever know about the wrong pocket because the wrong pocket opening is hidden inside the new pocket. Great video!
I am so glad you made this video! I’m still new to this and it helps to see that everyone makes mistakes, and there are creative ways to fix them without destroying the whole album!! I learn a lot from those who have gone before me!! Thanks!!
Wonderful, wonderful video! Thank you for showing us how to fix our silly mistakes Rosa Kelly! Invaluable video 😃

Yes. Seeing mistakes and leaning how to adapt instead of start over is a great idea.
Thank you Rosa for the wonderful tips to hide or fix mistakes! No one is perfect, right? Your albums are so creative and beautiful.
