These things are a lot more durable than they used to be! And that was respectable hang time on lots of those jumps, impressive that nothing broke. Looked like fun!
When you think back to the days of USA-1, Carolina Crusher, and the original Gravedigger and Bigfoot trucks, they had comparatively little suspension travel and shorter wheelbases. The crushed cars, that Ryan so casually drove over, would've been a bona fide obstacle in the short track days and sent a truck's front end straight up and kicked the back end up right after.
Tom Meents lives at the end of our mile and they have a training course similar to the stadium and it is so freaking cool the sound is awesome and we can watch them catch serious air from the house Yeah and he is one of the coolest neighbors you could ever have very nice and humble funny and crazy
@@deannederhoff if you get the chance go see it I recommend it it's over the top and if Tom Meents is in max d you will love it he is insane and he teaches others how to do it right down the road from us it's so cool
@@danielrobison4755 rural Paxton ill And this is no joke about a week ago maybe 2 weeks ago I swear to God Tom Meents was running with one of his monster trucks in the dark and I asked him and he gave me that smile and he said I'd never do that I wish people could hear that sound from my house it is unbelievable and so cool
Now imagine if they built bigger, longer, smoother takeoffs and landings so they weren't just getting bounced all the time. The airtime those things could be capable of is actually pretty nuts!
Yeah I think an outdoor arena would be better but I guess like this it lets them put the events on just about anywhere and I suppose the echo in the stadium does sound pretty cool.
Damn……I’m just getting back in Monster Jam. Probably haven’t watched in 20 years when I was around 10-13 years old in early 2000’s. Had no idea Dennis Anderson had kids racing or that there was a Son-uva Digger. I’ve been missing out. This is amazing.
Just a heads up, unfortunately Dennis Anderson retired a few years ago. But his kids live up to the name pretty good as you can see. If you look up king sling on youtube you will find what Dennis is doing now. He has his own course in his backyard and still drives hard.
Hahahah almost for me too, although I don't know why! Must be the mix of goosebumps out of the sheer performing talent the driver showed. And the barking of a blown big block!
It was only a few years back when they first did a back flip in a monster truck and at the time it seemed like they'd never top that trick. Here, Ryan just makes it look like child's play. His skill as a driver is incredible.
When ESPN filmed him doing his backflip at his house it's house and my daughter was trying to get home they stopped her and said she couldn't proceed and and my daughter told him get out of my fucking way I I live right down the road and I know Tom and he knows me very well And I'm going home Tom Meents is extremely cool All of us on the mile get along very well and know each other
Just once I wished they’d set up an outdoor track, with massive hill limbs, rock gardens to race over, mud pits, jumps, straight aways, etc like they do in Vegas but gnarlier and not necessarily head to head. I remember seeing a race similar to it when Bigfoot was the truck to beat and it was pretty impressive. I realize they do it in stadiums for the number of fans, but come on let’s really test these trucks and drivers ability
I wish I could've seen this in person. Monster Jam was a big part of my childhood, and I'm 22 now. I've seen it all, but this has got to me top 5 freestyle runs I have ever seen without a doubt. Ryan Anderson is incredibly talented, and he's a big reason why I still show interest in Monster Jam. His runs are next level!
I was there. The audio on this video doesn't do it any justice. The carrier dome is so loud. When the trucks hit the ground you felt it, man it was awesome.
Was here live for this. Wasn’t a monster jam fan at the time or a fan of vehicular entertainment In general. But I knew something rowdy was going on when this happened.
I remember seeing that video right after it happened and it blew my mind. I’ve loved monster trucks since I was a kid and he changed the game that night. Monster Jam has never been the same again, the tricks and stunts have been LB another level since Ryan did that run. He raised the bar that night!
Ok. The first minute I was thinking you didn't get out much... but after a few cool saves and some good driving it was actually a pretty good run. Nice video
I genuinely thought this was an RC monster truck with a very skilled operator that someone had dubbed real engine noises over! When the driver got out at the end I was blown away!
That one has got to be the Greatest run ever !!! The Best one I have ever seen !! I was doing Security at monster jam Sam Boyd stadium Las Vegas 6 years in a row !! and was body guarding Tom meents !! And trucks plus Denise Andersons trucks !!! Ex Pro Boxer FOUNDER of Boxing vs UFC and best fight PREDICTOR of all times Rocky the Eastern Assassin Esterline!!!!!
Talk about Threading the Needle, that was one hell of a run. I've never been to a Monster Truck Show / Event. The people at this event got their money's worth. WOW!!!!
Just when you think he's lost it (several times)...along comes some amazing driving skillz. Miss those Monster Jams - last one was at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ont...great show.
At 1st I was thinking, Coolest run you've ever seen? If you seen one show then you've seen them all but that was awesome. Riding on the 2 side wheels, the backflip, the riding on the 2 front wheels and just the absolute control he had of that truck was amazing. I've seen a few shows in Orlando FL before and they didn't do anything like that. That guy stole the show for sure.
These are seriously impressive machines with even more impressive drivers, it’s crazy how far they’ve come since I was younger, from just doing simple races or freestyle runs more focused on destroying cars and buses and RVs and stuff, with a couple jumps and some donuts. Now they drive them like a kid playing with a toy truck doing seemingly impossible maneuvers and not paying attention to physics or gravity or logic whatsoever. Incredible
That reverse nose manual back to the jump was just nasty. And that frame mctwist or whatever at the end was against physics. True talent right there. I don't watch monster jam or big truck stuff but I love racing and can appreciate some damn good wheel work.
I'm not a monster truck fan, but that was pretty impressive driving.
or is this a bot?
why do u hate monster truck?
@@matthew7448 not being a fan != hating on sth

Wow that was hands down the best run i've ever seen. That last 40 seconds... incredible!
These things are a lot more durable than they used to be! And that was respectable hang time on lots of those jumps, impressive that nothing broke. Looked like fun!
Back left steering arm, or suspension is broken, that is why it was remotely shut off

@@polbecca yea they've become so much more impressive that it kind of desensitizes ya to what they're actually doing.
32 years old and listening to these trucks gives me the biggest goosebumps, super cool run!
Gotta agree- that's the best run and set of tricks I've seen in that sport. Impressive!
Anybody else would have ended that run at so many points. Ryan just keeps saving it. Ragged edge at its best. That was truly epic.
The power in those engines to throw that truck around is wicked
1500hp 10000lbs
You should see the pistons in those engines! Yikes!

It's weird how kids see things. I was always a grave digger guy, which meant Bulldozer/Goldberg was the bad guy. They all have massive talent.

Wow, that was insane! Takes a lot of driving skill, and spatial awareness to be able to react so quickly.
To this day this run is still a top 20 legendary run
Even tho he hit a other truck
It still is one of the best runs ever
Damn, you weren’t kidding. That was fuckin awesome!
I have seen just about every monster jam show, and this is the best freestyle I have ever witnessed

It’s really almost video game status to begin with. Imagine a longer wheelbase on those better ramps you described!? They could jump so far!
Bigfoot jumped over an airliner a long time ago...look it up👍

It’s been over 30 years since I was involved in the monster truck scene and wow have they come a long way in what they can do in the seat.
That was one dope run. You don't see runs like that often but when you do, it's always impressive to watch!

Definitely the most top notch monster truck performance that I've ever witnessed. 💪🏽
I did not think I would be impressed by this video. My keyboard was 6 feet away from me, but I got up from my couch to type this in. I am impressed.
Mad skills, and some good old fashioned luck. What a run.
He hit another truck. Not that much luck but super cool nonetheless
The fact this was shot on my birthday, felt like a gift. Sick video!
