I received the system, installing it was easier than easy. Crisp quality, no subscription needed, but they do offer cloud service, you can download the recorded vids to your phone. Poor internet can lead to poor connection so it's not the device if you're having issues. Super clear, easy to use software. It's very bare bones straight forward quality stuff, super affordable. I want to add one more camera, but I'm not sure if the hub supports more than 4 cameras.
I will say these cameras are quick to send a notification to your phone when the camera detects movement. However when I go to view the video it takes a while to see what it was. In most cases the video has taken 4 minutes to view. This has been very frustrating while waiting for a package to arrive I planned on talking to the delivery person but was unable to view the video in time and the UPS driver took off before I could even see who was at the door. This typically happens but eventually you'll be able to view the video. It is concerning in the middle of the night when you get a notification and can't view who or what it is for 3-5 mins. In that amount of time someone could be standing in your bedroom while you're waiting for the video to load.
I purchased two of these with the local storage and set up was easy. The quality isn’t bad at all. We already have some nest cameras, but as we have a large yard I wanted to add a couple more cameras for coverage. I really like the local storage aspect. After setting up, it is obvious that the sensitivity of these is less than the google nest cameras. These begin picking up motion within approximately 25 feet. The nest cameras will detect movement almost 100 feet away at the road when cars pass by. Knowing this I will locate these new cameras to areas where the detection limit will work for us, but it looks like we will need one more nest camera to add to one side of or home where I need about 75 feet of detection.
With 2k you say you can crop in to see name tags or licence plates but in the videos shown here the resolution is so bad you can't even read what is on the kids shirts. Is the video downgraded for youtube or does pulling still improve the quality some how?
Have an AOSU doorbell cam that is awesome. It’s battery powered but constantly trickle charged by existing 24v doorbell transformer. It’s always at 100% battery. I suspect this will be the same with solar trickle charging.
My question is how long will the battery last in the short winter days? Here in Ireland we would be lucky to get seven hours if sunlight on the shortest winter days. It would be mostly cloudy or raining.
I have these and I love them (I have 8, bought two packs). But recently, one pack (4 cameras) aren’t recording local events anymore. They are connected to WiFi and are full charged from solar panels. I’m not sure what has happened. Can you help?
Hi nice video one question can you check the camera from far like another city or maybe same city but far way I hope my question make sense I’m new on this thanks
I don't understand the terminology. I got a 4g camera that was really fast and excellent quality free for testing. I had to send it back because it required buying a data plan. I'd like to get the same quality but without a data plan. Most of the cameras advertise things like 2k 3mp and I don't understand the terminology. I'd like to buy a replacement quickly under $100 with the same quality but without a data plan. thank you.
Good video! I'm interested in this type of system. Can you save the saved video data to your own external hard drive? Can you get notification on two devices at the same time like your cellphone and tablet?
This includes 32GB of storage, but yes you can download recordings to your phone and then transfer to a hard drive. Yes you can get notifications on multiple devices.
I don't believe you can as the Base station only has 4 channels. That's exactly my consideration. I think Eufy are different in that their base station can connect to multiple devices.
How to change setting to have no alarm sound or blinking lighta if this camera is installed in common area(apartment building floor lobby) so that no one is alarmed or disturbed and does the panel work if there is good light(India is a hot country) but not direct sunlight on it?
great video but you made me laugh when you said you lived in the middle of the woods, it looks like a subdivision lol. Also why would you say the basestation needs placed next to your router. It clearly doesnt need to be. all you need to do is run an ethernet cable to the basestation from your router thats it.
FALSE ADVERTISING. How is this 100% wireless when the base station needs to be plugged in? I needed this for a camping expedition to the Amazon forest. Where will I plug this in? Inside a tree trunk??? 🎥📸

Is this camera new? There are not a lot of reviews on Amazon about it, mostly people who are being paid to say good things.

New homeowner here. Can’t wait to get this 🙏

Is there an option to connect the base station to a wifi router via wifi, or must the base station be plugged in via ethernet cable?
My question is how long will the battery last in the short winter days? Here in Ireland we would be lucky to get seven hours if sunlight on the shortest winter days. It would be mostly cloudy or raining.
You only need a few hours of sunlight to charge the battery, but the battery can last for weeks with no charge
@@DroidModderX excellent. Thank you.
I get mine tomorrow. Great security system.
is this motion recording only? I would like to set it to video 24/7 regardless of motion.

thanks for the video, Is it true the camera should be mounted in sunshade ? I saw you installed one on the outside wall without roof above !
So when winter hits and they have snow on them.. now what ?
Go Noles! Subscribed just because of the shirt! About to watch the video now lol😅
!! Go Noles!!
Thanks for the content. I'm definitely going to get this. Oh and can't wait to watch the Noles beat LSU again!
So that means, it can't work without steady power supply to the router inside the house and without internet connectivity?

I have the same solar panel system. I am having a hard time mounting that star shaped screw to the solar panel mount. Any videos on that?
thank you for the great review! you answer all my questions.
The new PTZ cameras having issues.
How much does it cost to run the app or do I just get a SD card?
Can you tell me what the frame rates are? are the adjustable/ can you shoot 24 frame per second or is it 20 frams per second?
Can I add 2 more cameras to the 4 pack?
Can this system be hooked up to a video screen for 24 hour viewing?
How far away can it detect movement? Thanks.

Can you add one or two of their indoor cameras to the 'base unit' to access in the app along with the 4 outdoor ones?
I don't believe you can as the Base station only has 4 channels. That's exactly my consideration. I think Eufy are different in that their base station can connect to multiple devices.
Do they have these in black
It’s works with 5g??
Will I be able to see the cameras when I am away from home (out to dinner, out of town ect)?
no doubt that security cameras are meaningless if they can't be viewed remotely
Yes you can, it can be viewed any where in the country
I been having mine for about year still running like new
What about if youre out of the country?
@@soldatoxYHWH as long as you have phone service, wifi it will work
Is rhis system easy to use with a cloud service?
How do you view these cameras remotely from your phone over the internet without it requiring a cloud subscription?
home base
So where do you plug it in or what exactly is the wire for if it aint connected to a plug? On the video it didnt look like it was connected?
Goes to the solar panel
Question: Anyone used this in Canadian winter?
How much is it?

You can go into the app and change that under "security" settings I Believe

I'm using a Wired Security camera since few years, should upgrade to Wireless
Really it depends on the features you need. Is your setup connected to the internet? Do you have good night sight, do you have 2k video quality ect
@@DroidModderX It's connected to internet but not happy with the resolution and feature. So, probably I'll upgrade my setup soon
@@ChetanChidanand for sure
if considering the practicality, i will recommended to use poe (wired) security camera

how will you cope in times of power outages
Here in South Africa, we are experiencing electricity cuts every day
