Hello Phillip. I want to express my gratitude for everything I've learned from you through this Channel. I can't imagine what I would do without your informative and invaluable videos. Today marks 20 days since I became a member of your channel, and I intend to remain one indefinitely because I believe it is one of the most informative and useful resources available for POD.
Having said that, I would like to share my opinion that this particular video lacks the crucial aspect of how to place images on these mockups and make them appear realistic. As you know, fabric has curves and wrinkles, and with this type of mockup generated by Midjourney, the results are not always convincing in terms of realism. The example provided in this video does not serve us well for placing images on t-shirts, as it does not look realistic. Consequently, we have to continue searching for mockups with smart objects for Photoshop.
When it comes to framed wall art or posters, it is easier to work with Canva, but even for selling in canvas format, these mockups are not suitable. I have also had to search for smart object options in that regard.
I would greatly appreciate if you could create a video tutorial on how to place designs on these mockups and achieve realistic results, including the process of transforming them into smart objects.Thank you,

Hi Joe, thank you very much for becoming a member and your kind comment + feedback! You are right this video definitely lacks the realistic application of designs, which I am currently researching myself. I have never had to do it myself so it's a new skill I need to learn first, but I plan to make a follow up video in the future :)

Putting your prompts in Leonardo AI gives vastly different results. 1st prompt, I get this amazing High Fashion cartoon fashion shoot look with. diverse group of men and women wearing all white clothing including white boots, and the 2nd one is a very stylised room mockup with clothes hanging and furniture with some very nice use of light and shadows.

Philip, I have made some wonderful mock-ups with Midjourney, however some of them have objects in front of the canvas. How do you recommend dealing with that problem? I am not familiar with photo-editing software, but is it an easy job in a free program like Photopea to remove the object, and then replace it back in the image after placing the image? Come to think of it, could you do a short tutorial on how to use Photopea to place Midjourney images into mockups, including how tp place small objects in front of the image?

So how can we be sure that the color of the shirts match the outcome of the product that the customer will receive? I imagine this could hurt sells if it is way off. I notice that colors like navy and others come out different many times. Most not by much but I just want to be sure. This is also a problem I find when using PlaceIt as well.

Hello, I have a question that I truly hope you can answer. I read the ETSY seller's manual regarding product images, but it's not explicitly explained whether AI-generated mockups can be used. My idea is to create a real one with an image taken from Printify with "reference model" written on it, along with the color chart with real models. In the product description, I would specify that the model images are for representation purposes only and for the exact model, reference should be made to the "reference model" and the color chart to ensure customers are well-informed. Do I risk store closure with these conditions? Thank you, Daniele. The fact that there are so many stores using AI mockups doesn't reassure me. Thanks in advance, Daniele

This did not work for me. I tried modifying the prompt, but no luck. Not only were the models super big chested, with lots of shadows, dips, and movement that wouldn't work for flat mockup images (I then asked flat chested tween girls, but still got BOOBS!!!)... And it would not include the woman's torso, but kept cutting her off right under her chest. Any idea how I can fix this? Thank you.

HI! Thank you for this video, so incredibly useful! qq - have you had any issues with the mockup not having the exact fit the real t-shirt has? I'm concerned the mock up might not fully represent how each specific t-shirt brand/model actually fits the person (for example - the fit of the neck sometimes looks too lose). Just wondering what your thoughts are :) Thank you!

Good point! It won't be 100% accurate you're right. I don't see that being a massive problem in listings though. But if you want 100%accurate fit, neck seams etc in the mockup, Ai may not be the best option
