Ja, klopt en is in principe een hele andere discipline. Natuurlijk ligt bij merendeel v.w.b. gevoel de voorkeur bij een spoedbegeleiding. Hiermee niet bedoelend dat we de incidenten leuk vinden, maar het wel een dankbare klus vinden een patiënt veilig en z.s.m. in het ziekenhuis te krijgen.

Heel tactisch aangepakt. Zo werden wij tot aan de grens van Duitsland begeleid door de KMAR dat was tijdens een eindoefening van de 11de luchtmobiel in 1994 voor Bosnië . Deze oefening werd in Vogelsang gehouden. Ik was toen AAT'er van de staf staf 11de luchtmobiel. Tegenwoordig is Vogelsang een museum en wordt dat niet meer voor oefendoeleinden gebruikt. Mijn complimenten voor jullie vakkundigheid.

Dankjewel voor weer een mooie video. Mooi om in praktijk te zien wat we het in de vorige video in de Botlek over hadden. De af en oprit mee nemen. Ik vind de achtercamera een welkome aanvulling alleen de momenten waarop mag nog wat beter. Maar het is zeker gaaf om de colonne te zien naderen.

Fluitje produceert meer DB van de sirene en blauwe staafje is een whiteboardmarker om snel iets op de tank te schrijven.

@@TeamVerkeerDH je kan de titel in andere talen instellen op RUclips, dan wordt hij automatisch weergegeven in de gekozen taal van de kijker. Zelf vind ik het eigenlijk onhandig omdat je niet fijn tweetalig kan kijken omdat 1 van de 2 talen dan vertaald wordt, maar voor Engelsen is het denk ik wel handig.

What is the distance those whistles are rated? Also I'm very impressed with how well the citizen motorists follow instructions. Some Americans would be saying they have plenty of time to make that turn.

For the 2nd part of your comment; here in the Netherlands new motorists are taught when learning for their license we are required by law to follow traffic instructions of police officers. Their traffic signs are even in the theoretical course which is mandatory to pass before you can advance.
Not following their instructions can lead to accidents and in every case a hefty fine (as high as €230,- as of 2020).

I've done escort duty for security of officials or large funerals in the US. Virtually no training, it's pick it up by explanation of what works and experiences. These guys clearly had some serious schooling on how to do it. Took a long time for me to get near this level of making it look easy. Lots here doing it by the cowboy hyper slingshot method...fun but not very dignified. I'm guessing the whistle is to be more effective than the usual drone of horn or siren? A real joy to do something well, in a group, with pride and a sense of competence in work as a man. Nice video.
The guy in this video is a highly trained police officer that is permitted to do VIP escorts and other types of escorts unlike the individuals here in the United States that illegally block traffic and use emergency vehicle sirens which are prohibited on any vehicle that isn't an emergency vehicle , there has been a escort company that got caught using emergency sirens and blocking traffic knowing that what they were doing was illegal and eventually it got them caught. Only police Department's are permitted to hold traffic and run through red lights , if a funeral procession doesn't have a police escort it cannot go through red lights and vehicles cannot be stopped a funeral home escort vehicle is supposed to do escort and other vehicles only have to yield to it they're not required to stop if there is multiple lanes.
There are also a few videos of the Metropolitan Police Special Escort Group on here. Not nearly so many, and none with helmet or bike camera footage. Their methods are very similar though. I'm not sure where it started, but I do recall seeing a video of a demonstration run for a visiting Dutch police officer.
This biker is a member of a Traffic Police subdivision (unsure of the name). This is one of their daily tasks. As for why they use the whistles, it’s clearly distinguishable over the two-tone siren. Normally you’d think to keep driving - it’s an emergency vehicle responding - but the whistle is used to stop traffic.

Stel bij zo'n escorte komt een hulpverleningsvoertuig met optische licht en geluidssignalen aan, wie gaat dan voor?
Dan gaan we er alles aan doen dat de ambu met O&G snelle doorgang heeft. Dit zou zelfs kunnen betekenen dat de spitser opgeofferd wordt om een kruising die niet op onze route ligt, maar wel door ons is volgelopen even vrij te maken.

Yes you do, in this situation i block it to keep the corner clean. and still have some space to accelerate.
It´s easyer for the escort, pass a stopped car.

Sometimes the old ways are the best ways after all. And it’s often-times cheaper. Why invent a new thing that does the exact same job as an old thing that does the same job? Why invent a replacement when you already have a good, working product to use?
@@DrYeet2704 I think (atleast for Dutch people) the whistle sound coming from an police officer is a very recognizable thing as well. Plus that sound is pitched exactly on the sensitivity of your hearing. It travels through wals basically.
I believe the Dutch were trained by the members of the SEG (Special Escort Group of the Metropolitan Police London). The SEG is famous for their use of whistles - people in London have grown very used to sirens, so this is just another way how to signal something is going on :)

die blauwe staaf is een stift om snel iets op te schrijven op de tank als dat nodig is.
Ik zet de zwaailampen uit, omdat ik niet wil dat verkeer op mij gaat reageren. In het eerste geval had ik kans dat de vrachtwagen zou remmen en dat precies op het verkeerde moment stil zou komen te staan waardoor ik dan mijn eigen handelen in de weg sta. Later zie ik dat de 2e spitser mij een stopteken geeft (dit is heilig en doet hij niet voor niets) Ik doe hier dan de zwaailampen uit omdat hij mijn kruisende verkeer aan het doortrekken is. Als die de kruising op komen en van links opeens een politiemotor met blauw blauw aan zien komen hebben we wederom kans dat ze gaan remmen en tot stilstand komen, daar waar we dit niet willen.
Dit waren dan even 2 voorbeeldjes. De blauwe whiteboardmaker is om snel aantekeningen of een kenteken op mijn tank te schrijven.

Because in this case i don't want that traffic on that moment act on mij blue lights. No sirens because it was a VIP not a ambulance.

What is it with the whistles? And why are they connected to the bike? Can somebody explain pls?
The wistles are not connected to the bike itself, that cord you see connected is just a safety device that turns off the bike in case the driver falls off

Whistles are a much sharper noise which can be heard over two tone sirens. This attracts the attention of drivers to show it’s not just a normal emergency vehicle responding. They use the whistles to maintain control over traffic. As for why they’re attached to your bike, it’s so they don’t lose them, as they are driving at high speeds so they could easily lose grip.

We.kunnen met droog weer nog prima onder nul rijden. Natuurlijk passen wij onze snelheid aan. Het gevaarlijkste moment wat weinig mensen weten is rond zonsopkomst

Wij maken een registratie dat deze rit is geweest. Als de bon dan binnen komt kan er aangetoond worden dat het niet zonder reden was.
Had wel wat informatie verwacht. Waarom werden sommige kruisingen niet geblokkeerd? Verder mooie beelden.
Edwin Kort die andere worden dan was door een andere motorrijder geblokkeerd maar dat zie je natuurlijk niet
Ze werken in een grid order(samenvoegingsvolgorde) iedere motorrijder slaat de hoeveelheid kruispunten over die de andere 3 motorrijders pakken en zodoende hebben ze dus hun eigen route en soms kruist die niet met de andere kruispunten waar de colonne doorheen passeert dus dat zie je dan niet

Wat een schitterende werk!!! Sinds ik jullie collega Jan-Willem volg, en dit soort filmpjes ziet, dan heb ik alle respect voor het politiewerk. Het is toch ook hopen voor zo`n agent, dat elke weggebruiker goed gehoorzaamd en niet ineens ervan door gaat, terwijl de stoet aankomt rijden.
Na het zien van de beelden hangt bij mij toch nog een vraag. Op de beelden zag ik o.a. dat een dierenambulance weliswaar niet met toeters en bellen aan, dus heeft hij geen voorrang, stel nu er komt op een kruispunt waar het rechtdoorgaande verkeer gestopt moet worden door een agent, en toch een amulance met toeters en bellen aankomt rijden, zijn dit dan de uitzonderingen wanneer de stoet daadwerklijk moet stoppen? Of geldt het alsnog dat de stoet doorrijdt en moet de ambulance stoppen?
Alvast tof dat jullie hadden gereageerd op mijn vraag, en ik zeg plaats meer van dit soort beelden!! Het blijft fantatisch om te zien, en zeker als vrachtwagenchauffeur! Goed werk!!!
Wij zullen hoe belangrijk de VIP ook altijd een voorrangsvoertuig (lees ambulance met name) door trekken.

@Woutheut Yes, I mean the front and side lights. Sorry that I not talked it clear. The most motorbike police officers in different countries talked me already they can make off the rear lights.

Ambulance begeleiding kan ik nog begrijpen als iemand snel naar het ziekenhuis moet, maar dit soort nutteloze begeleidingen begrijp ik niet zo, ze kunnen toch gewoon netjes van punt a naar punt b zonder al die bombarie.
Dat kan, maar ze noemen het een ere-escorte, dus blijkbaar verdient iemand deze eer om zo begeleid te worden.
Daar gaan wij niet over. Een persoonlijke mening is wel dat ik denk dat als het puur om geld gaat een monarchie de goedkoopste vorm is ondanks de tradities. Zelf vind ik het een mooie traditie, ook al snap ik best de reactie.
