Doing awesome, just busier than I ever thought possible. Lots of good updates that I can talk about, just need to find the time. I have some part time help coming soon, that will likely free me up to get some updates posted.
I am in south west Missouri and have been doing mealworms for our chickens for a couple years and just recently started a small RUclips about our farm, I want to start selling and scaling up, I was wondering if I could come get a walkthrough of your farm to get some ideas and maybe do a video to put on my channel promoting what you are doing. thanks for the vids you have put out have been very helpful to me
Best Mealworm channel on RUclips, but I need to know how to care for egg trays. I can't find any information on this. Seems like the topic is completely ignored in the community. I have self-sorting, mesh-bottomed breeding bins, so I have trays of frass with eggs in them. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO WITH THEM????? Help me pleeeeeeze!
What's your goal? I put beetles in bran, then once a week seperate the beetles from the bran. Check my lives, there's a long one I did during beetle swap. I'm moving to mesh ON the bran, elevated mesh doesn't work efficiently at all.
@@MidwestMealworms Sorry, I wasn't clear, I need to know how to care for eggs, to make sure they hatch. Moisture?, temp?, humidity?, substrate? etc. Thanks. I'm just running a small home tray system to feed garden birds.
@@Dainichi_Nyorai 80f, 50% humidity, feed them moisture sources once you can visually see them, wheat bran. I'd recommend joining Mealworm Farming Co-op group on Facebook, lots of info.
Obrigado
I tried gravity feeding a couple of years ago, lots of dust. A slow controlled auger should cut that down, and if I can figure out how long it takes to fill a certain size, setup a timer that runs that long to fill.
Hey Justin! I just realized that I haven't been seeing your videos on my feed recently. I hope you're feeling okay!

@MidwestMealworms Okay thank you
So what is frass used for?
@@lorie5429 it's a soil amendment, has decent npk and contains chitin from the insect. Helps to rebuild soil.

No, it depends on the size of the larvae and your environment conditions, along with your goals and available trays.
I don't see why you need two augers when gravity feeding works.
But inside is a good idea. :)

@@MidwestMealworms badass. love it.
I guess silos are great for keep it dry
Roughly, what is current per pound market value for frass? Thanks.
