I like the idea of hiding the refrigerator behind panels (sometimes). In this case I think the refrigerator being seen would have looked better because that oven situation seems weird sitting in the middle of that sea of brown cabinetry. It gives that look in movies where a solemn raft is the only thing floating in a blue expanse of ocean.
