- Going through and confirming what we already knew about Logan Paul's PSA 10 Charizard that he purchased from Gary and cross graded to a BGS 10. We still don't have the answers that I was hoping for and expecting from the Goat Breakers video.

That's exactly what BGS did... they saw an opportunity for some free advertising on a HUGE scale, and went all in on it!!

I use to send sports cards to athletes houses to try and get them signed as a kid and I lost so many good cards that way. Never got any of em back in the end.

It was cracked. Logan told the story on his podcast that he thought the card was flawless, even going as far as to measure the centering himself. He openly admitted he knew that Gary had submitted it to BGS already and it failed to cross, but he assumed that these companies would be biased when they saw a card in a PSA slab and want to pretend that their grading service was superior. He cracked the case and submitted it as a fresh card and it came back 10.
Logan is sort of a weasel though (as we've all seen from his repeated crypto/nft scam projects) and it would not surprise me at all if he contacted BGS directly and let them know in advance that he would be wearing it on his neck at the fight. That wouldn't be a story he could tell, bias or favoritism would be implied. I also don't see why he wouldn't make a video out of it if he actually cracked the card and submitted it like a normal person, so I'm assuming it was the latter.
This logic is flawed though. So anyone famous can never legitimately get stuff graded without recording the whole process? We just assume based on our bias on them? Odd to me.

You ever heard the phrase where there is smoke there is fire? A known card that failed to be upgraded in the past is sold to an incredibly intelligent marketer in Logan and its mysteriously crossed into a more valuable subgrade before its paraded to millions of people.
I brought up the recording because Logan is literally a RUclips vlogger with his own podcast. You're telling me it wouldn't be in character and make good content to record him cracking it and receiving the new grade?
@Bronze Wolf No, Logan is just a known scammer so it fits the persona he's already crafted for himself. I don't see anything wrong with questioning this when it's a major aspect of the value of cards in the hobby.
@@Alex-vo2ew the cards were submitted in a different way and Grading is completely subjective if not done by AI. We get it you hate Logan Paul, get over it.

the story ive been able to piece together from all these different vids is: logan bought a PSA 10 char from gary and then busted it out of the casing and sent it in to BGS to see what would happen and it came back as a BGS 10 ??

How much would a PSA 10 or BGS 10 go for? I realize there are only a few so actual comps might be hard. I'm just wondering about a ballpark guess.

We’ve all cracked and resubbed and cracked and resubbed, until a card got the grade we thought it should be. Is this really any different than that? I know it wasn’t cracked, but still essentially the same thing no?
Logan said he cracked it. Up to you if you would like to believe that.
I would only resub if I really felt like my card was misgraded. To me, that's one resub, and if still comes back lower, it is what is. I think the issue with this Charizard is that we expect there to be a bit more consistency in grading with such high-end items. Stack that with the fact that both parties see big gains from the situation; I think it's completely reasonable that people are questioning the validity of the regrade
@@needszeebs6942 consistency in grading? 🤣 there are plenty of 9s out there that caught someone on a shitty day and could be graded 10s. There is 0 consistency without glaring issues
@@Alex-vo2ew I completely agree, there is poor consistency with grading. My point was that this isn't just any card, this is one of the biggest cards in the hobby, so you would hope that maybe they would take the extra time and effort to be more consistent, at least with something like this. Especially considering it costs so much more

You should do a series of vids of fraud on all marketable products like collectors items or painting or blank- use pokemonKing’s eyes to grade or detect flaws, he suspected psa of being dirty based on his eyes and their misgrades or higherGraded send backs over his anticipated more correct look, like factory packaging damage, being rarer, and graded wrong, as my cards have damage from factory and are more rare as folds or crinkle that you can not do, by hand without extra damage- important as grading should be by known real cards and how they look from collector or real1s

I would never ever send them my cards bgs and psa!! As long there is not a better way to grade those cards they are worth nothing to me! Just look at the grading process video!

Look i like rattle but hes making all of yal sketched out and paranoid. Of course bgs knew it would help them in terms of press. And who tf cares, what logan has done for the pokemon community is to be commended over and over again. In my opinion logan cracking the case and submitting it as a new card was a huge risk that payed off and helped this hobby ALOT. Go watch logans podcast, doesnt seem sketchy to me, just a gamble by a savvy businessman that payed off.
The only issue with what happened is that card wS already reviewed and deemed not bgs worthy once before. Bgs has all right to take that opportunity. They also grade so much shit i douvt they remember looking at it before
