great , quick to the point, informational video, thank you for helping society with videos as such lol. I will be purchasing this part tonight, hoping this will solve my issue.
I had my leaf packs replaced twice under warranty for this... Three days each time. Dealer wouldn't replace just the pads lol... They had to take the tank out to get the front left side bolt out of the spring. It told them just to cut the bolt and put a new one in backwards as to not have to drop the tank (way easier and cheaper)... They "don't so shady tree stuff"... Complete pine cones! I just grease them every oil change.
Idk if greasing them is a good idea. I would think that would just cause dirt to attract and create a polishing compound over time. It’s not sealed, grease needs to stay clean to be effective.
Great video- I had the same issue, only with a moderate load in the bed. Left for a 3 week camping trip pulling our 28’ travel trailer…. I suspected that the shims had worn down, so I sprayed silicon between the leafs, and the problem would go away -for a while. I got some high quality thick zip ties, and placed a few between the leafs. Just temporary, until new shims can be ordered. It’s been about a year now, and the zip ties are still in place. It’s an experiment now, how long will they survive!
I’ve been going through videos for weeks. They never show the noise. Just how they fixed it. Been trying to diagnose a noise in my truck and no one thinks to record the noises they fix.
Its the condition of these roads absolutely destroying the chassis components Our vehicle are not designed for these roads that are just crumbling apart. You need a baja 1000 suspension setup to travel around nowadays it's absolutely ridiculous
@@Engine3FF Yes!! Such an annoying problem to have. Mine squeaks when I get in and out, driving slow over bumps, etc. I've been to three local shops for upgrades/repairs and asked them to look into it while they had it. They all said my suspension was good and one place even said they "tightened everything up". 😂😆🤣 No more shame slow driving. 👍🏽😎 Thank you for your help!
Would of been nice to hear the noise cuz mine is doing a squeaky noise from that area to specially when turning and it flexes you can hear it kinda like rubber or dry bushings
Mine made an awful noise when turning with the steering wheel at full lock. I greased the bump stops and it went away. When it comes back, just regrease
It’s just a shortcut to keep from having to disassemble the leaf spring assembly. It won’t fit in the separation provided by just lifting the truck with a jack.
Oh ok because I changed out my isolator pads but I still get a thunk coming from the springs but just not as loud as before… and my leaf spring bushings look fine so idk what to do. I did noticed my rear passenger was leaning lower than my rear driver side. Any ideas ?
Rihanna you both on the axles impact wrench on Hill I thought him about an inch every just I just came in from factory least he'll be at tighten your damn you both suffer to keep hearing from jump around too much

Had my 21F-150 lowered and now I have an annoying squeak this is the first thing I'm going to check out
Did this work? I have a 21 also and haven't done anything to the suspension and I have a squeak...
My truck has been lifted for over a year and the squeak has been driving me ducking nuts thank you
Thank you my dude almost thought it was my front suspension too until I saw this then investigated more and this is spot on

Fixed the loud squeaking in my Raptor. Thanks!
Dudeeeee thank you so much‼️ I know in my gut this is the same issue I am having and on the same rer right side area. I am going to try this
Dude, thanks for sharing this! I was about ready to unload the parts cannon at my 2011! This worked!

Thank you so very much! Annoying squeak is now gone!
Thank you so much! I will be ordering this part tonight.
Only guy who shoes problem and part number, video without is pointless so thanks. Kind of figured common sense but apparently not.
Great video ,from a fellow 2014 squeaker!!
Same 😂
Same thing with my truck. Replaced them with a upgraded isolator and it lasted for about 9 months.
Saved me $1,500 right there
Thank you!!!

Great video! Thank you!
You dont have any videos of the noise??
I’ve been going through videos for weeks. They never show the noise. Just how they fixed it. Been trying to diagnose a noise in my truck and no one thinks to record the noises they fix.
@@sonsnj4630 my current problem now, No idea where to start
for those wanting to know they come in packs of one so you need to order quantity of 4
Replaced my shackles and the noise came back after 2 days, went and looked under the truck and sure enough i can't see those shims anymore
Thank you sir

I can’t find for my 1998 f150 would those fit my truck …. T.I.A 🙏🏽👍🏽
You 🪨 🤙🏽
Will these work on 2012 Ford F-250 6.7 , since Ford didn’t want to give me the part number and try to charge me a arm and a leg for them !!
I'm not sure if they are the same on the F-250 or not.
Is this something I could 3D print? 🤔
Got to be what i am hearing driving me nuts.
Did it only do it sometimes for you?
All the time. Standing beside the truck and barely shaking the bed would make it squeak
You can get these at auto zone or ebay don't gotta be from the dealer.
I have a 2000 f150, never replaced these yet and mine just started to squeak. 22 years on a Ford part!
I'll be buying my new ones from Ford lol
Was the squeak noise while you drive forward
It was anytime the truck was moving. You don't even have to drive, just push the side of the truck to make the body move on the suspension.

Mine only squeaks when I’m in reverse. Very Annoying, gotta fix this soon
👍👍
Did just one come in the pack? Thanks in advance

Why do you have to grind down a brand new OEM ford part?
It’s just a shortcut to keep from having to disassemble the leaf spring assembly. It won’t fit in the separation provided by just lifting the truck with a jack.
@@Engine3FF gotcha, good to know. I’m getting my front suspension replaced in three weeks I’ll just have them swap these shims while they’re in there.
How did you get the old ones out
Just dug them out with flat screwdriver and hammer
Did you add grease on the isolator pads?
No, not needed
Oh ok because I changed out my isolator pads but I still get a thunk coming from the springs but just not as loud as before… and my leaf spring bushings look fine so idk what to do. I did noticed my rear passenger was leaning lower than my rear driver side. Any ideas ?
Where were you able to find/buy the part?
Ford Dealer
Fuckin Ford
