Your video displayed this snare the best. I liked it so much that I ordered it…..it came in today. Can’t wait for the next gig which is Sunday. YIPPEE 🎉. Thanks!
I’ve noticed pretty much all the Brass snare drums. Even the expensive ones have overtone and lotta ring but Yamaha recording custom brass snare drum sounds explosive without a lot of ring.
i’ve been playing this snare for about 5 years and it’s the best sounding snare i’ve ever played. It’s way more versatile than people give brass snares credit for. i’ve played old school psych rock, modern metal, folk/country (with the the right muffling lol), indie rock, etc
Endlich wieder eine neue Folge…….mit einer nagelneuen Snare von Yamaha! Ich liebe diese Videos und diese unglaublich schön klingenden Instrumente aus Messing! Tolles Video, Simon!
They used to be everyone's number one when they originally came out with the recording customs. But yes, nowadays there is more hype about other companies - although Yamaha is still so amazingly great!
they lost a great deal of customers when they began making the high end drums in china. For yamaha customers, handmade japanese quality was a flagship.
Welcome back to my "Snare of the Month" series 🥳!! Today let's talk about my newest snare: The 14"x5.5" brass drum out of Yamaha's legendary RECORDING CUSTOM series that they improved and relaunched in collaboration with Steve Gadd 💪🤘!! The demo with the various tunings etc. starts at 07:30 💪.
I love it! I play smaller drums 18 kick ect. Love that tight sound for fusion, jazz reggae ect. It depends on your sound. Once you hear it, you will want to make it your sound!
I’ve got the 13 inch in brass! I love it! It’s got so many personalities, I’m thinking of naming it Sybil! Lol

Yamaha is so under rated these days

They stopped having Sakae make their high end drums in Japan.
Now it’s all Chinese slave labor.

How about the Yamaha recording snare 13 by 6.5? Is this worthy ?
I'm sure it's great. But I am not a 13" guy and I prefer shallower drums. That's why I went with the 14"x5.5".
@@SimonSpringerMusicsounding great to and what do you think about the Yamaha brass recording 14-6.5 by the way ?
@@emmanuelpascalnaigom6366 Same drum, more depth. Haven't tried it.
