- In this video we visit Ventnor botanic garden on the isle of wight UK.
The Garden is unrivalled for its collections of subtropical plants grown unprotected out of doors.
Many of the plants are shown in representations of geographical regions, growing in association with each other as in the wild. The garden aim's to present an immersive experience where the visitor is transported to landscapes from around the world. There’s an impressive collection of succulents and cacti including huge spiky agaves and flowering aloes. Sun-loving herbs, giant echiums, vibrant tender bedding plants and mature palm trees thrive here, as do many colourful South African treasures, Australian eucalyptus, bottlebrushes, tree ferns, and much more.
Tetrapanax, cordyline, tracycarpus, tree ferns, cannas, canary island date palm and many more.

A great video and very interesting. Certainly on my list of places to visit.
Thanks Brother
I’m lucky enough to live on the Island and having an annual pass to VBG. I go there every couple of weeks watching the change of the seasons and walking through the palm gardens.
They do walking guided tours except I keep missing them so this is really informative!
oh thats great, i would too if i was on the island! Yeah without the back story i think its easy for many visitors to miss the magic and depth thats behind it all! thanks for watching
Oh, I would love to visit the Isle of Wight one day, when I visit my family in the UK (I live in California, and have only been there once, in 2005).
oh epic, yeah is one of the better places to visit if your coming to the uk! ive been to california once, beautiful..

@@Temperate2Tropical probably one day. I'm a few hours from Seattle and my robusta looks pretty sad right now. But it's growing. I keep it dry and wrapped in fleece if it gets chilly.
Inspirational. Thank you. The buses did it for me. Can't wait to visit 😮. @jerome_philipon
