Funny story related to scrabble, I once was playing scrabble with my friend and she stole the spot of a word I had planned on adding, so instead I spelled “axe” as a passive-aggressive threat lol
It’s such a shame this movie flopped at the box office! It’s genuinely a funny, charming, creative movie about rats living under the drains of London. The characters are charming, the humour is top notch, the soundtrack slaps, the Minion-esque Slugs are adorable, the villains are hysterical, and yes, the animation is spectacular. Sure, it’s not Aardman’s iconic claymation, but for their first CG feature, this movie’s animation looks phenomenal. It’s aged gracefully and it’s still in the style of claymation, so you can still tell it’s Aardman (unlike some other movies). Overall, this is just a fun time. It deserved more than what it got and it’s a shame its failure caused Aardman and DreamWorks to part ways.
This movie was playing on repeat in my house when I was younger 😂. Not sure how it flopped! Looking back at some of these clips now it's even funnier because there is so much adult content snuck in to it.

I honestly love Ice Cold Rita! Hugh Jackman sings brilliantly as Roddy and I love how the Slugs chime in to convince Rita to give Roddy another chance. That’s adorable! 😁😁😁🧊🐀🐌🎶🎵🎤
Roddy really wasn’t eavesdropping, granted that still doesn’t excuse his actions and he probably could’ve handled the situation better if he had just thought things through rather than jumping straight to the conclusions like he did in the movie but I still think Rita overrated and she too isn’t guilt-free of jumping to conclusions like Roddy did.

We saw Hugh live and he sang songs from The Greatest showman along with les miserables and more! Near the end, he saw my poster and pointed at me and said “Yes I see you!” I had never been so happier in my life!
