These are responses to a tweet I posted asking for feedback from Samsung Galaxy Fold owners - and, as a Galaxy Fold owner myself, the overwhelmingly positive sentiment of the responses came as no surprise. While most of the smartphones I’ve reviewed over the past year have been wonderful and competent in their own right … none of them has changed the way I use a phone, or altered my perception of what a phone should be. The Samsung Galaxy Fold has. So for Episode 3 of “Into The Fold,” I’m re-reviewing the Galaxy Fold for 2020, after five months of using it as MrMobile’s daily driver.

@@NPofficer No. A quick search led me to a RUclips interview saying that there was a large workload at Pocketnow beyond making videos and he was feeling burnt out, and there is no reason to believe otherwise.
Your coverage on folding phones, especially the Galaxy Fold, is the best I've seen on the internet. Just the best at catching the pros and cons along with genuine experiences of using the device. Major props! Into the Fold is legit the best series ever!

Yeah! The only issues I've had with the Z Flip really is just light surface scratches from my fingernail but it's barely noticeable. 👍🏼Other than that, it's definitely been a tank!

Armorsuit Screen Protectors seem to have a similar "self healing" properties as well.
Your videos are a work of art. I can't afford the fold now and possibly even for the next year or so....but I'll watch any video you post, just cause, the quality is just amazing. From script to camera to integrity, everything is top notch.
4:40 reminds me, Mr. Mobile is like the tech version of Bob Ross. Passion for the craft comes through every aspect of production and makes each episode a delight to watch.

I am so glad I found this video. My son's wife bought the Galaxy Fold in 2020, preferred her iPhone, and promptly boxed the Fold up and put it in a drawer. My Galaxy is acting up, and my DIL said "Take this phone. I used it about a day, so it's like new and just sitting in a drawer." I have no idea how to switch phones, but I have techy friends, so in the meantime I am trying to learn about this $2K device that fell into my lap! I mainly text, read articles, play solitaire, play a word game and watch so many documentaries and true crime videos on RUclips and I am so excited about the big screen! Something that I like already is that when folded, this Fold is so much easier for me to hold because it's not overly wide. Now, if the phone call quality is good, then I think I am going to be quite satisfied. It's the day after Christmas, and I feel like my DIL just gave me a $2K gift. Happy New Year, everyone! 👍🙌🎊 📱
I'm one of the crazy ones that watched my son take such good care of his electronics. Never a broken screen. Never a hard drop. Never getting in trouble at school. So at 15, after 2 hand-me-down phones, I thought he'd earned the trust for his first brand new phone. We chose the fold since playing games, watching RUclips and making videos are his go-to
2 months later, there has been zero issues. And this is with no case since they are still lacking that sweet spot of protection and usability.
I can't say it's for every kid, but for the responsible ones, I'm happy with the choice I made to make this Z Fold 3 my teenager's first new phone
After watching your videos for years (including your PocketNow days), your footage has always been A+. I am in awe at how well you collect footage and use that footage to tell a story that combines with your words. I am a budget tech enthusiast. I am waiting for a lower cost foldable device based on your review and a few others. Once durability is addressed and the technology to make these devices gets cheaper, this looks like the future of smartphones. Great review as usual and phenomenal attention to detail

I 'm really enjoying this series, I think foldables are so cool. I've had my Galaxy Flip for 3 months now and I still love it. It's just fun to use, and the reactions you get from people when they see you snap it shut is great.

I love how you are covering these phones that are different. Ive switched to the LG v60 thinq and found that two screens is amazing. I cant wait to get a device that actually goes all in on the concept of folding or dual screen instead of just a case that makes the whole experience a little clunky but still worth it.

Mr Mobile has been my comfort watching lately, really enjoy your stuff, I've been watching tech youtube for years but only just got into this channel, ps - admittedly the folds the outer screen is small, but I love the candy bar-like form factor, feels less like a brittle slab of glass, something nice about a phone that feels substantial
I still want the Fold, but the price is wildly off the mark. And I need 5G support because that gives me signal on T-Mobile in places where I can't get 4G.

Michael, another beautifully shot and narrated video, great job. Really enjoyed it. But the Flossy mention was the real delight of the video I must say. I'm as big a fan of his as much as yourself. The guy is just so funny as well as knowing his stuff really well. You forgot to mention his view of the pricing though. TGH (too gatdamn high!). LOLOLOL.
I highly doubt a 3M sticker kept this phone from cracking lol, reminds me of when MKBHD said that cases aren't any more protective than skins.
I really loved the Fold's concept, but (aside from being a 1st gen product) it didnt seem to be a very long-lasting design.

You do need to be somewhat careful of the inside display, but unless you are rich, you probably should be treating anything so expensive carefully.
I don't randomly slide my car around everywhere, handbrake turning into parking spaces (as much as I'd love to), and I don't just throw my Fold around.
@@tams805 At the same time we expect of our phones to be our loyal companions in any but the most extremt environments. Would the Fold last if used by say a construction worker where dirt and grime will find its way into clothes.
@@SweBeach2023 The Fold is pretty durable. See contrators POV. And Quinn of Snazzy Labs treats his Flip pretty badly and it still works well.

I phrase things differently every time, but that's always true: you always see it alongside the manufacturer for the first time.
You're probably the only major RUclipsr that constantly and proudly adore the charms of Fold when everyone just treat it more or less like another review phone. Yes it's flawed, bulky, unwieldy, awkward and admittedly not for me but I still think this is revolutionary product nonetheless, truly special.
Thank you for this elongated foldable series, can't wait for the 2nd gen Fold, come out soon, will definitely looking forward to your review the most when it comes to foldable from now :D

Well, Michael is a great reviewer and very well-spoken. What I like the most about this video, though, is the fact that it has an aspect ratio that fits conventional 16:9 screens but on newer phones it doesn't get cropped when zoomed into a 20:9 aspect ratio screen. Wish other youtubers followed this trend.
I was already the furthest thing from regretting subbing to you, but then you mention one of my favorite youtubers (LGR)? Yeah, this is a great channel and I'm sticking around. Really love getting to learn more about phones like this. I do personally want the Razr, but I really cannot justify the cost. Maybe in a gen or two when they get cheaper and more reliable. But I'll admit, this video really started selling me on the Galaxy Fold...
