Loving the vids, they've been super helpful for gathering info as a beginner. I've ridden about 4 times now just on renter boards and I'm looking to buy my first now. I think I want a board that is capable of park and flat ground tricks, but is also just happy to carve down some groomers as I'm still very much in the learning phase. I'm torn between the capita doa, bataleon evil twin and fun.kink. What would you recommend TJ? I'm 6 foot and weigh about 88kg without gear. Thanks man!

comparison is easy: take the DOA, make everything better and you get the SuperDOA. I rode those boards on a board test in January head to head and the SuperDOA does everything I would say 10% better.... aaand it is super easy to ride. However, the price difference is over 200€ and that is massive..... If you can afford it, go with the SuperDOA, but remember - you can get a set of the normal DOA AND some dope Strata Team Bindings for the price of the Super DOA ;)

im a skinny guy (150lbs around 5'10) and im in a stand still between the DOA and the mercury. im on the east coast so im not gonna be in powder often so i know i want that rocker/camber/rocker bend and an all-mountain, freestyle type board. (not opposed to other styles but from my research thats my go to) although im not sure how stiff i want it.
i was planning on going with the shorter end of the size charts ive seen so maybe a 152-154. ive heard shorter boards give a bit more control in the conditions im gonna be in? im no pro by any means. hit the park jumps and maybe a few rails and boxes but nothing too big. 75% of the time im just carving and just hanging out. ive got a really old burton custom now, but one of the bindings just broke so im looking to get a new set up. anyone have any recommendations or suggestions between either the DOA or Mercury or anything else you think would be good? good review thanks man!

    Hello
I need help! :) I would need a recommendation about new board :)
I do not know which one is more suitable for me: Capita Mega Merc 153 / BSOD 156 / Super DOA 154.
I'm intermediate rider; 171 cm, 72kg. Most of the time I ride on pistes. I like fast turns and also carves but I also like to ride slower and play around and take small jumps. Sometimes I play around off piste. Rarely I go freeriding in powder. I do not go into parks at all, except small jumps or low, short rails.
Now I have an 'old school' Elan Quantum 155, which is directional chamber, 3D top profile. I like it but I think it is already time for an upgrade/change. I have it more than 15 years. It it quite heavy I think.

It is high quality for the price, there is no instruction to set up the bindings with the board other than that I would recommend.

Hey TJ nice video. Which board do you prefer for all Mountain riding, the Super DOA or the T Rice Pro HP? I can not decide. I think the Super DOA is a bit better for butters and tricks because the T Rice has a bit stiffer feel.

I have the superdoa, and had a trice,
For all mountain...id say the trice, it has a more versatile profile

Id go with 155w or 158. A little more board will give you more control. And won't have to worry about scrubbing your toes or heels as much with those 10 1/2

with carbon backs, yes... you'll lose stability/edge hold if you stick with the nylon
Imo, carbon backs + mini disk is the way to go. Or just get falcors
