I ride park alot and I was considering this board, what does a park board offer that a board like this one would not?
Did you enjoy the DOA or the Super Doa for your specific ride style? I have a DOA and love its all around performance and flex as I love to rip the whole mountain and side hits, butters etc..
HOw did those stratas pair with the Super doa? Any bindings that you feel would work well with the Super doa?
just got this board and can't wait to ride it for the season... On another note; it's incredible to see how far TJ's riding has come...his skill level is seriously good! Keep it up TJ :)
Your board reviews have become a synonym of quality! I think there isn't anyone better in the game to this day, respect dude !
Thank you Emilian! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
another helpful review TJ, can't wait for this to hit the shelves... really looking forward to the added stability from the regular DOA
I dig the new intro font an music gotta keep it fresh sick video man. You truly are the keeper of the board archive🤙
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Love the review TJ, and would love to try this board out next season!
I love your board reviews always gives me something to save money for the winter!!! I need more reviews!!
Thanks Darrick!
keeping the shred and the archive alive! 👌👌 so clean dude I love it, superDOA looks so fun in the slush conditions
Thanks bro! Hope we get a chance to shred next season!
That looks super amazing!! Wow how could capita make my favorite snowboard even better? They did it 😍
That 3D Core profile reminds me a lot of the Ride Timeless from back in the day. Loved that board!
I really dig the control and playful blend going on. I like to go fast but I like to butter and press too.
Drooling over this deck. I can’t wait to add this to my Quiver!!
Damn. This is fresh! Sick editing TJ!
Thanks man!
Keep up these fire reviews TJ
Pre ordered this board based on this review! Thanks mang!
You put it into words perfectly, the thinner core profile on the tips made the biggest difference for me as well. I loved riding this thing, even though I only got to try the 154 when I should be on a 158. It still held an edge remarkably well yet buttered easily too.
How tall are you? And what weight? Having a hard time deciding btw the 156 and the 154 (177cm, 72kg). Greets from Austria 🇦🇹
Been looking forward to this review, they have some demos out next month at my dome can’t wait to try it!
Thanks, enjoy!
Jesus the pop on this board O.O
Sweet video TJ! Keep it up legend!
Looks amazing TJ. Gracias amigo.
Sick board just ordered!
One of the best reviews!!! So good
🙏🏼🙏🏼
just got it!! so pumped!
Such a dope looking board too 🤙🏼
helpful video,I just order my super DOA snowboard from China ! Now I’m looking forward to get it ~Thanks
Sick review sick board and even sicker editing
Thanks dude
I got mine last week and all I can say is it's an absolute weapon!
🔪 🔪
Killer review, nice job breaking this deck down.
sounds like a mega board. reviews are baaack 🤩
🙏🏼🙏🏼
Sick Review man!!!
thanks man!
Finally 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Looks so fun!!!
I have the DOA. Its amazing, its like a f1 for resort boards. I started on a GNU money and this is like a luxery board.
Love your work
Thank you
Great video as always, enjoyed watching.
Thinking about buying this board.
I am 1,80m height and 82 kg weight.
I am about to learn some trick’s, take some jumps, do carving - have fun from all mountain boarding.
I was thinking about 156 or i should go with 158? Which size is better for all around snowboarding?
Those stratas look dope on the super doa.
I was at whistler over spring break and i tried to just straight jump the jumps at 1:35 and it was way too sticky and there wasnt enough speed. How can u do tricks over them in the summer? Also this video brings back so many amazing memories from that trip. Keep up the amazing videos!
You’re the best TJ! Can you do a review on the mega mercury!!!
So glad I ordered one .
Enjoy!
Great review TJ👍🏼. This is probably one of your best so far. The board looks rad and you definitely brought the steez 🤙🏼. I think it’d be cool if you showed what mountain/resort you’re riding at in the opening title for your reviews, some of them look epic, but I have no idea where it is. Just my two cents. Yew 👍.
on a side note, this one is whistler hehe 😃
Thanks Rob! This was all filmed in Whistler 🤘🏼
I just picked this badboy 2021 up . I have a 2019 DOA which is my fav board , so Looking forward to the speed, energy and Pop of this!!
How does the new one compare to your old one?
@@Chryzy The super DOA is more torsiobally stiffer, but has a super nice energy to the board. I find it to be more of an all mountain ripper where as my regular doa still slays the mountain and had a tad more bytterability, though the super DOA can still butter nicely as well.
@@mpix00 thanks for your response! I think I will go for the super doa than :)
Which size would you go for? I’m 177cm and weigh about 72kg. Greetings from Austria 🇦🇹
Hi TJ I like your videos alot! Very helpful! I have a question to your binding set-up on this capita board sepcificly. Did you set up your bindings on the recomended center seting, or did you chose to set them up wider? For example the back binding on hole back? Thanks man!
Looking into a couple of boards for a new set up and the super DOA really peaked my interest. Loved the vid.
I am looking for a all mountain that can do well in pow and grooms but also hit the park for jumps and fun on the rails for presses and what not. Would you say the super DOA can do all this well and hold on lines?
Thanks!
Really appreciating your top notch reviews, TJ!!
I'd like to see a comparison aswell.
I'm either going for the Super DoA or DoA next season but I can't get my head around what to pick =/
what did you go with? and did you like it? i'm having the same decision making problem right now, hahaha.
@@squirrelsmovingpictures Super DoA. Being a Capita fan and having been able to ride a normal DoA testboard, which I was really satisfied with, tickled my curiousity for the Super version. Got to say it's a lot of fun on the slopes. Very stable because of the stiff flex in between the bindings and playful on the tips. Enjoyed it a lot so far!
@@FredVK1991 awesome :) good stuff
Got mine on order
Cool board
Another solid review
Thanks ellstacker
@@BoardArchive yw
Just got the Super DOA and love it! Is there anything different about waxing it? It’s my first board with a textured bottom, might be a dumb questions thanks ahead of time.
Loving the vids, they've been super helpful for gathering info as a beginner. I've ridden about 4 times now just on renter boards and I'm looking to buy my first now. I think I want a board that is capable of park and flat ground tricks, but is also just happy to carve down some groomers as I'm still very much in the learning phase. I'm torn between the capita doa, bataleon evil twin and fun.kink. What would you recommend TJ? I'm 6 foot and weigh about 88kg without gear. Thanks man!
Thanks Tim I think you’d enjoy the fun kink, maybe also something softer and cam rock profile like the Yes Basic
@@BoardArchive thanks for the response, i ended up buying a 158cm capita doa and I'm not disappointed! Bit of a learning curve, it feels less forgiving in terms of edge control and I had a bit of trouble landing flat when popping off jumps but other than that it's a great board and definitely a lot more fun than rentals :)
Dope video. I am going to get one. I am 80KG and 178CM with M binding and US9 boots. Wanna use this for small to medium jumps and free ride with some layout carves, shall I go for 156 or 158? Thnx
Hi TJ! Great video!
How is this one compared to the regular DOA? I am intermediate, ride Yes Basic. Does it make sense to change it to DOA or Superdoa to progress? Thanks!
That top sheet shape remind me of old Ride snowboards, with cap construction.
Looks like technology trends made full lap.
Supposed to pick up my super D.O.A tomorrow, super excited to try it. Picked this board specifically because it's stiffer than the original. I weigh 205lbs but like riding short boards. Figured it would be more stable on boardslides so it doesn't overflex on me haha
What size did you go with I was going get the doa but you made me wanna just get the super doa I weight about 200lb too
@@FOURFTP 155W
Question, Would the Union Atlas Binding be a good choice with this board?
TJ I am looking into purchasing a new deck for the upcoming season. I am new to snowboarding and have one season under my belt (Midwest terrain) I am 6’4” 230lbs and a size 12 boot. I have been on a very soft rocker dominant board and outgrew it very quickly last season. With my size and weight the super doa seems to be a good board to progress with. I do want to switch to a more camber dominant board for sure. That I do know. Can you give me some feedback and possibly help steer me in the right direction. Thank you in advance.
I'm about 5'10 165 lbs with size 11.5 32 boots would the 155 wide super doa be good or do I need a wider board?
When is the comparison video coming out? Doa vs super doa
I need this! Can't decide!
@@FredVK1991 SAMMMMEEE
@@TradingMotivation2 I decided already now though :D Got me the Super! First test run soon, can't wait!!
comparison is easy: take the DOA, make everything better and you get the SuperDOA. I rode those boards on a board test in January head to head and the SuperDOA does everything I would say 10% better.... aaand it is super easy to ride. However, the price difference is over 200€ and that is massive..... If you can afford it, go with the SuperDOA, but remember - you can get a set of the normal DOA AND some dope Strata Team Bindings for the price of the Super DOA ;)
@@FredVK1991 you will love it!! ;)
dude man bro, your vids are getting so pro looking! sick footy and editing! those big ass grooves in the profiling of the board look super interesting. you think it will be a new trend in the industry? the tips remind me of that Whip FR 117 board, ya dig?
do you think this board would have decent float off piste? some boards that have very fast base do float do to speed..... i wonder if this one would do the same
Hi TJ, I can’t decide on my size. I am 188cm and 75kg boot size 12. I ride 20% park and 80% all mountain. Should I get the 155w or the 158w?
What’s your intake on ride fuse vs ride lasso pro for the DOA and union strata set up?
thank you man
Thank you man
I had a 2002 Ride Timeless 164 with a core profile similar to that.
finally!
TJ, do you always ride with the same stance width? what do you reckon was your width riding this deck?
Hey CJ, which angle are your using on your bindings ?
I need this board in my quiver
Any chance of you testing the libtech climax?
Can you use it on double blacks off the top of the mountain like mammoth
Rode this in March. Solid board. Feels stiffer than the regular DOA. Super stable on jumps. Buttering is interesting cause of the stiff feeling.
Is regular DOA better for buttering?
Is the price worth it? 750 is a custom x which is the mountain ferrari...
The regular DOA is a lot better in the park and buttering is an absolute dream. The super DOA is better for jumps and all mountain shredding
How does this compare to the box knife?
Should I get a Capita DOA
Or a T Rice Pro C2
im a skinny guy (150lbs around 5'10) and im in a stand still between the DOA and the mercury. im on the east coast so im not gonna be in powder often so i know i want that rocker/camber/rocker bend and an all-mountain, freestyle type board. (not opposed to other styles but from my research thats my go to) although im not sure how stiff i want it.
i was planning on going with the shorter end of the size charts ive seen so maybe a 152-154. ive heard shorter boards give a bit more control in the conditions im gonna be in? im no pro by any means. hit the park jumps and maybe a few rails and boxes but nothing too big. 75% of the time im just carving and just hanging out. ive got a really old burton custom now, but one of the bindings just broke so im looking to get a new set up. anyone have any recommendations or suggestions between either the DOA or Mercury or anything else you think would be good? good review thanks man!
Hello
I need help! :) I would need a recommendation about new board :)
I do not know which one is more suitable for me: Capita Mega Merc 153 / BSOD 156 / Super DOA 154.
I'm intermediate rider; 171 cm, 72kg. Most of the time I ride on pistes. I like fast turns and also carves but I also like to ride slower and play around and take small jumps. Sometimes I play around off piste. Rarely I go freeriding in powder. I do not go into parks at all, except small jumps or low, short rails.
Now I have an 'old school' Elan Quantum 155, which is directional chamber, 3D top profile. I like it but I think it is already time for an upgrade/change. I have it more than 15 years. It it quite heavy I think.
how does it compare to the huck knife pro
Are you riding the 2020 Union Stratas in this video? I absolutely love my 2019 Stratas, any changes for 2020?
They gave them the union Falcor 19 ankle strap
Just minor changes. Why fix it if it aint broke.
If you get to choose one. Kazu or Super DOA?
I’m just wondering does capita ever restock there boards? I know I’m a little late on this video but thanks!
I'm gonna wait till 2021 get the size I want. Hard to find right now....
... Where is the link to the regular Capita DOA?
Is it worth the extra 200 dollars doa vs super doa
Great review as always TJ! In this review you sound a bit poorly, are you ok?
Knew you would review it first 😸
🤘🏼
NICE
if you had to pick between the super and original, what would it be and why????
normal DOA = 400 bucks
super DOA = 660 bucks
Strata Team Bindings = 260 bucks
Normal DOA + Strata Team Bindings = Super DOA
Go for the normal DOA with a new pair of bindings. The superDOA does not ride that much better ;) Rode both head to head
@@stephprime nice reply!!!
Nice ! I ride a Capita The Outsiders, I need to change my board this year for more playfullness, DOA or SuperDOA ? Thanks !
What did you choose? I have 3 yo outsiders and wanna make change for something new... I am afraid that DOA Is a step back...
@@bartosztroch5024 I chose Super Doa, no step back, with Super Doa : more speed, more fun, more nervous and light weight. I wanted flex on nose and tail. Very versatil, for me and my ride, I prefere Super Doa than The Outsiders.
@@silverevasselin Thank you! Is that stiff as outsiders? I saw that you also looked for more playfullness board :)
@@bartosztroch5024 stiff is similar but more playfullness with nose and tail (reverse camber)
Ride Timeless had a similar 3D tapered shape
Awesome Video !
Any recommendations for sizing ?
I‘m 6‘2ft , 185lbs , US12 Boots
Would 158w or 161w be right for me ?
Thanks Felix, I think you would enjoy the 158w the most!
155w
So it has alot of burton tech?
What goggles do you wear in this video??
Some smooth riding! What length of Super DOA were you riding there please TJ ... 154cm?
Yup 154
@@BoardArchive I’m 177cm, 72kg - should I go for a 154cm or a 156cm length?
Is it good for deeeeep carving? (:
Would that 3d core profile create a flex out problem at your nose?
I wouldn’t say it causes any problems
Hey! I'm trying to figure out what size would be best for me. I'm 5'10 180 pounds with a size 11 boot
Like 161cm to like 165cm
You can look up sizing charts for snowboards also
It is high quality for the price, there is no instruction to set up the bindings with the board other than that I would recommend.
Hi TJ ! Could you please tell me wich board size you're using and what's your shoe size pls?
Hey! I rode the 154 and wear size 9 boots
@@BoardArchive thx my dude, ride safe!
For mostly park do you think this is better or arbor westmark camber frank april
I would get the super doa
@@BoardArchive thanks for the advice 😃 much appreciated I will take your advice
Board Archive what about super doa or huck knife pro? what is your preference 🤘🏂
Hey TJ nice video. Which board do you prefer for all Mountain riding, the Super DOA or the T Rice Pro HP? I can not decide. I think the Super DOA is a bit better for butters and tricks because the T Rice has a bit stiffer feel.
I have the superdoa, and had a trice,
For all mountain...id say the trice, it has a more versatile profile
I’m 5’8 165 pounds with a size 10.5 boot, what size super doa snowboard should I get? I was thinking the 156
Id go with 155w or 158. A little more board will give you more control. And won't have to worry about scrubbing your toes or heels as much with those 10 1/2
Awesome man, thanks for the response
Can you tell me what pants u wear
They’re the Volcom articulated pants
Do you think Union Strata are better for this board than Force?
with carbon backs, yes... you'll lose stability/edge hold if you stick with the nylon
Imo, carbon backs + mini disk is the way to go. Or just get falcors
Review the Shaper Twin!
