wow that flight looks cool. Did you check in a bag? Were they strict with the checked baggage weight. How would you rate the food and customer service from one to ten
Thanks for watching. Yeah overall a very decent experience. No issues checking a bag as I wasn’t even close to the allowance. Food wasn’t anything mind blowing but it was perfectly fine and reasonable well portioned too. Inflight crew were really good and efficient although bag drop was a bit slow waiting to be assisted when for some reason the self service bag drop were only accepting luggage for the Dubai and not the Melbourne flight it seemed. Overall defs a good way to fly between Singapore and Melbourne a shame it’s coming to end soon though!
Hello everyone and welcome to the launch of my first ever Emirates flight review on the Aussie JetSetter RUclips channel as we get to fully immerse ourselves in the Emirates Boeing 777 economy class experience on a recent fifth freedom flight between Singapore and Melbourne! Really hope you enjoy it and find some useful information from it! If you have really appreciate if you could please give the video a like, drop a comment down below, share among your family and friends and if you haven't already please do consider subscribing to the channel! It certainly means a lot to me and really helps grow the channel so that it is shown to broader audiences :) Once again many thanks and have a great week ahead! Cheers, Stephen
Thanks for watching James and your very positive feedback there! Good question as to why the route is going to end maybe it’s something to do with there relatively new Dubai to Phnom Penh via Singapore flights coming on board meaning they have enough flights to Singapore now. It might just be more commercially viable for emirates to operate more direct flights to Singapore and Melbourne respectively I guess.
A stunning review mate! Great footage captured and thoroughly enjoyed the journey and commentary to Melbourne! Funnily enough I did the opposite half of this flight (EK 405) from Singapore to Dubai after it came into Changi from Melbourne. I very much agree its a great experience (especially being able to offset dollars spent with QFF points). It is indeed also a shame that this 5th Freedom leg is getting cut 😔.
Thanks for watching @thewindowseat77! Defs want to do a longer review of them to Dubai one day! Yep real shame the route will come to an end soon. Will be interesting to see if Emirates add another direct service out of Melbourne in its place.
Im going on a flight back from singapore to Melbourne in about a month or so scheduled with emirates, are they axing it between then and just pushing it over to qantas as my understanding goes? they havent relased a date yet as per what their full plan is related to the assessment from ccs.
Thanks for watching! Haven’t heard of an exact date yet when it’s ending so I dare think you’ll emirates flight will probably go ahead as normal next month but I guess no guarantees. :)
Thanks for watching Gabriel! Very sad indeed. Far as I’m aware Emirates haven’t given a definite end date yet so there is still a little time to enjoy it yet - certainly one to use some Qantas points for! :)
Not sure I would call it a hub but I guess at a pinch you could say it’s a focus city for them as they feed flights through to both Melbourne and Phnom Penh in addition to direct flights to Dubai of course
Great review!!! Im glad to see that emirates is still a great airline even in this post pandemic world!!! Keep up the good work!!💪💪
Thanks mate. Thrilled you enjoyed it! Definitely still a quality airline just a shame the route coming to an end soon :(

Great review mate, sad to see this route come to an end
Thanks mate. Thrilled to hear you enjoyed it. Yep such a shame indeed - hopefully it carries on a bit longer with the current uncertain cease date!

World class flight review video! Hope this gets the traction it deserves soon.
How come the route is no longer being continued anyways?

@@AussieJetSetter Can SIN be considered a scissor hub for EK?
