I still love that song of her and lots of her other music! Basically this was her entry for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010 and she happened to win with Satellite! So she blew up and everyone in Germany knows her! She was on TV shows too! (For example she was a coach in The Voice of Germany for a lot of seasons!) So yeah, still making music and doing concerts! It feels good to talk about my favorite artist here, haha ❤
I also have to add: She's even Voice acting in 2 or 3 animated movies, and also did a few guest appearances in the past in some TV series! And she started a fashion brand called "A lot less" where they focus on clothing that's comfortable and eco-friendly!
She is a german singer-songwriter. She is quite known in Germany and she had a big hit in Japan called “life was a beach” she has like 5-6 albums now and her new one is coming soon. She’s going on tour soon also, and her new song comes out March 15. 2024. And she’s so lovely and very successful And she’s a voice actress too. Like poppy in trolls (german) And she’s a judge on the German version of THE VOICE KIDS
Lena won the casting for the German participant to Oslo fair and square with her unique style of singing and her personality and then won the ESC, because she was touring radio stations all over Europe for months oprior to the Oslo contest, so she was known all over the place.
I personally prefer the live version because when she sings „I‘m in an orbit all the way around you“ you can just hear the joy she feels while sings. You should definitely consider reacting to that.
So, Lena was a partcipant in the casting show "Unser Star für Oslo" (Our star for Oslo) where the winner got to represent Germany in the next eurovision song contest (esc) which was held in Oslo. Obviously, Lena won and flew to Oslo to compete. At this is point Germany had won the esc only once in 1982 and started to get a reputation to end up in last place for the last few years (not counting some rare exceptions). She ended up winning the contest and obviously was celebrated by the whole country. In fact, people loved her so much that it was decided that she would compete the next year as well and a "sequel" to "Unser star für Oslo" was put together called "unser song für Deutschland" (our song for Germany). Basically, we got to vote which song she would compete with the following year. She ended up with a song called "taken by a stranger" and placed 10th at the esc in 2011.
