    Covered the basics well.
With the tongue weight around 300 lb there is no way I could lift the coupler onto the ball with our '96 Niagara. And our driveway has a slope, so both wheels are chocked all the time.
I get it close by moving the TV, drop the coupler with the jack, often the clamp part gets trapped on top of the ball, so pull ahead slightly so the ball is tight to the front of the cup, then raise slightly with the jack to take the pressure off the clamp so it can slip under the ball into it's correct position.
Our first trip I didn't check that it had latched properly, and the coupler bounced off the ball about 10 feet up the driveway. At least it was close to home so I had pry bars and blocks so I could raise it high enough to swing the jack down and get it re coupled properly. lots of fun on a steep driveway.

Thanks for the tips 333rpd! Units such as the Niagara do have heavy tongue weights in later model years, and I can imagine what a steep driveway can be like to couple a unit that size. Apricate you watching and your advise!

When you are hooking up to tow it's a good time to make sure the strap for the battery box is tight(also LP tanks). A friend of mine had a lose strap and lost his battery on the way to the camp ground.

Good tip Jeff! We will be sharing a pre trip checklist video soon. I’ll be sure to add this bit of advise and drop your name if that’s ok.

We are wishing we could pick up our camper like you! It's too heavy! Question...you mentioned a battery harness. Are they on all battery set ups? I would like to see if ours (coachman Clipper 108) has one but couldn't see it clearly in the video. Please what should I look for? Thank you in advance!

I know, I really should use the tongue jack more myself too! Not all campers have a disconnect able harness like Coleman and Fleetwoods do. Your Clipper does have a 12 volt connection at the tongue. Look for black and white 12 volt lines with round terminal ends. These will attach directly to the screw post on 12 volt beep cycle battery's. Black is positive.
