Papa Bue's Viking Jazz Band 1992 Maple Leaf Rag: recorded at Monster, Holland 7 and 8 December 1992 and released under "Everybody Loves Saturday Night" this is one of the Papa Bue flag ship tunes he played in many times in his long career and issued albums of this name at least twice. Maple Leaf Rag Scott Joplin most famous composition: composed in 1899 by Scott Joplin and Russell. Joplin, a man before his time (c. 1867 -- April 1, 1917); Joplin wrote 44 original ragtime pieces, one ragtime ballet, and two operas (both failures in their day). Unfortunately Joplin had an awful life and a tragic end but his ragtime pieces are exceptional and this is the master piece.
