Unveiling Gold Coast's New Logo/Guernseys for 2025

- The Gold Coast Suns are finally set to rebrand for the 2025 season.
Today, we’re going to take a look at what their redesigned logo and guernseys will apparently look like.

They need an actual Sun ☀️ incorporated into the logo. Get rid of all letters totally. Or maybe put a GC within the Sun. Be interesting to see their new re-branding.
That last year really works, and made jersey that actually feels Gold Coast, exactly like the Gold Coast Titans in the NRL.

I use photoshop and a guernsey template that can be found on bigfooty, I’ve made quite a few changes to the original template though
Home with white looks like the V8 Supercars logo
Just saying, why not use phoenix suns NBA as Inspiration. Gold Coast have seen to have trouble with their branding but phoenix have a really cool logo. How cool would a footy version be?

The Townsville Crocs actually wanted to be known as the Suns, but Phoenix nixed that down and they became the Crocs instead so probs gonna have the same thing happen here, but it would be a really good concept for the Suns
As a note, the hoop on the last set of guernseys comes off the C to the right of screen lower than it comes to the G on the left of screen...
Thats the problem with rebranded logos, Port Power, Fasta Pasta, Fremantle, they went from looking interesting, to just lazy design lettering. How dissapointing. Hope Hawthorn never looses the hawk in exchange for lettering.
I would avoid the yellow top blue bottom as it classes with West Coast too much. Perhaps invert the colours or use a red blue colour scheme.
They wouldn’t wear the blue jumper against west coast though, they’d just wear the red or a yellow away jumper
@@mattn1 Yeah but can you name another teams clash which looks so close to another teams home?
@SormonAusPol North Melbourne and Collingwood are identical with a slight colour difference
@@mattn1 True, but blue is brighter than black. For your Gold Coast redisngs I'd definitely keep with the light sky blue colour you used in your later design over the solid blue.

I've never liked Gold Coast Having blue as their clash jumper given they don't really have any blue on their home jumper. To me it just doesn't really work and doesn't fit with the suns moniker. They have such a cool colour scheme with the red and gold but they've really wasted the opportunity to make something really cool.
I went looking for info on this the other night during the game but couldnt find much but rumours and things, as a joke i did a new logo and jersey designsfor them..swapping colours on the richmond tiger logo to red, yellow and white, with the same font but saying goldcoast est 2009 and, jerseys are yellow, red sash and reverse for away 😅
Yeah I don’t think they’ve announced anything officially yet but they’ve had fans come in for focus group type situations where they’ve shown some of the stuff they’re working on atm
The old GC logo was poor. S pattern is pretty average. It looks really retro and the colours certainly fit the late 70s early 80s look too. I would have like a sun... maybe even incorporated with a wave... and try to get the surf lifesaving vibe, considering the. colours. Even the idea of red and gold panels at the front (in get the surf look) would work. half red at front. half gold. I totally agree with you that the blue should be a lot lighter and head towards a light aqua blue / sea green. Brisbane already have maroon (red away) gold and blue. Why would the Suns copy it. Blue jumper just looks totally out of place.
Yep the lighter blue just fits the colour palette of the suns better and the sky blue clash looks much better than the darker blue they have atm
@@mattn1 yes. being coastal if they can get something light aqua it sort of works well with the bold red and gold. Not sure what colour their merchandise should be. But I doubt that GC fans buy royal blue polos.
Lose the blue clash. Looks ugly. Red and Gold fits best. No orange
Drop the blue and have it red and gold/yellow. Don't need another team with red yellow and blue
the s kind of looks like a g too, makes it a bit beetter ,,, i think following a letter like s is stupid for them
They need to scrap the blue accent colour. It looks so out of place. Doesnt go with red or yellow at all.
