Your literally the only person I would let slide on showing a brand new barreled action and not shooting it. Mostly because your twice my size, but a little because of that majestic beard.
Thank you for the comparison. Thats pretty much what I planed on building a Bergara 20" Barreled Action with a GRS Stock. Can't wait to get all the parts
I got mine in from A&J Sporting yesterday. Dropped it in a Foundation Gen1 and a Trigger Tech today. Mounted the Vortex Strike Eagle and sighted it in. Shot 50rds then cleaned it really good. Going to an ARA benchrest match tomorrow :)
I was going to ask why isn’t it a stainless barrel. Nice to have something a little unique and special 👌 Lucas and I are loving the new barrelled actions. Got ours in an XLR chassis.
Hello sir, just ran into this video 9 months late. I have the original B14R, thinking on building another, in your opinion, is it any advantage over the original one? We do precision bench rest 50-200 yards. Thank you.
@@darrondb Rhank for the fast response. I really enjoy your videos, there are always educational to me. Enjoy your coolness and sincerity. Keep them coming, I am subscribed to your channel but I am not getting any notifications, so I am going to double check in a minute.
@JoDel-qam4u I've not been able to make any new ones for some time now as life got crazy busy. Thanks for watching and I'll try to get some new stuff up soon!
@@darrondb that was my main concern i hate the thumb angle on the grip that comes with the chassis i prefer a more positive engagement , but the chassis doesn’t seem to get in the way of the AO thumb grip ? Also the grip does not feel too slim does it ?
The Bergara rep told me it would be new rifling and some other changes last winter, so that did not happen? I don't see the value in the complete action if it is just a barrel swap, put a quality barrel on cut by a gunsmith and you are still 300-400 ahead 🤷♂
That would be true if you are using your existing action. If you are starting new, you're actually money ahead buying the heavy barreled action (since actions aren't available separately)

Good luck!!!
Sweeeet!!! Looks like it would balance way better, glad u said that!! I'm a big silver barrel fan
Just picked mine up yesterday, can't wait to try it out.
Let me know your thoughts!!
Will do, I got mine in a KRG Whiskey 3 Chassis.

I just bought one myself at A&J. I have a MDT chassis coming in for it as well.
You'll love it!!
😂 good luck with the new dogs! Thanks for the content! May need to add a heavy barrels b14r to my 22 colection
Thank ya!!
That is awesome. I hope they eventually just sell the barrel.
I wonder if Bergara addressed the bolt FTE issues that were reported with the standard one.

Awesome!! Hope you're enjoying them!!
Is the action smooth or do you feel a hang up in the bolt lift?
LUV UR CONTENT THNX
Thanks for watching!

Greetings! The biggest advantage is balance and weight from the longer heavier barrel. Not sure if this is an advance in bench rest or not

WHAT CHASSIS DO YOU RECOMMEND SO IT HAS "NO" FEEDING ISSUES
I've never had any issues with my MPAs (three different ones). But each chassis and latch is a little different so there are no absolute guarantees
WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO COMPLETE THIS SERIES ON THE HEAVY BARRELED ACTION 🤔🤔🤔
When life settles down a bit 😊
Is this going to be available at other retailers? I got some academy gift cards I would love to spend on this.
Only though A&J Sporting currently. Not sure what the future might be though
Im considering the AO grip on my comp chassis how do you like it
I really do like it, and prefer the larger version. My only comment would be that the thumb rest doesn't line up with the thumb cut on the chassis
@@darrondb that was my main concern i hate the thumb angle on the grip that comes with the chassis i prefer a more positive engagement , but the chassis doesn’t seem to get in the way of the AO thumb grip ? Also the grip does not feel too slim does it ?
I have a B14R carbon today. Is it worth upgrading to this 20” to get better accuracy, or not? Or should I instead spend my money on a custom barrel?
If the intent is to build a competition rifle, I would go with the 20" barreled action in a chassis. Keep your carbon for plinking or hunting
Thanks! I will consider your suggestion. I’m looking to get tighter groups out to 300 m.
What grip is on the MPA?
Anarchy Outdoors
we need updates???

At least you got your dog a dog 😅. Nice vid.
