Nico de Transilvania - Săracă Inima Mea (My poor longing heart)

I am really happy to share with you today on my mum’s birthday (she would’ve been 72 today) the teaser video for the project I N T E R B E I N G that I’ve recently started working on. The video was filmed and recorded in the Fagaras Mountains with an amazing team of artists and technicians and is co-funded by Cambridge University as part of their Endangered Landscapes Artist Residency and the Romanian Cultural Fund - AFCN.
The footage was filmed by Razvan Leucea and the sounds recorded and composed by David Alexander Yeoman, who sadly passed away recently, and it features mine and Silvia Dan’s voices.
The project focuses on raising awareness of the endangered landscapes and traditions in the Carpathian Mountains and aims to help protect them through preserving these ancient songs, as well as planting trees in the area through the money raised via Forests Without Frontiers www.forestswithoutfrontiers.org .
We look forward to sharing more of the project as it develops and it will be launched by the end of the summer.
