How to Draft a SKIRT BLOCK in CLO3D

In this tutorial I will teach you how to draft a skirt block based on Natalie Bray’s instructions from her book titled Dress Pattern Designing. It is simple to draft and can be adjusted to create a straight, standard, or flared skirt base.

Calculate the Following Measurements:
a) 1/4 Hip Circumference + 0.5” = (10")
b) Waist to Hip Distance = (10.25”)
c) Waist Reduction Amount (See Table Below) = (-1.9”)
d) 1/4 Waist Circumference = (6")
e) Hip to Knee Distance = (15.5”)
Waist Reduction Amount:
Straight Skirt Block: -1/30 Hip Circumference
Standard Skirt Block: -1/20 Hip Circumference
Flared Skirt Block: -1/15 Hip Circumference
