  • Rene Rivard has worked with Parks Canada on the Chilkoot Trail for over 30 years. He shares his knowledge of artifacts and locations along the trail during the final patrol of his career. Through his words and stories, he describes the horse packing transportation route during the Klondike Gold Rush of 1898, and his personal connections to this history through his practice as a packsaddle and map maker.
