Wishing a happy and auspicious Maha Shivaratri to all! Maha Shivarathri is celebrated annually at Prashanthi Nilayam in the Divine presence of Lord Sai Shiva himself, marked by stotrams in praise of Lord Shiva, Akhanda Bhajans, Bhagawan's Divine Discourse, and, in some years, the Lingodbhavam. This video, depicting the Maha Shivarathri Celebrations of 2007, begins with Bhagawan's grand entry into Sai Kulwant Hall by car, followed by the cutting of a cake baked by devotees to commemorate the Shivaratri celebrations. A program by the students of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning follows, which is marked by the singing of stotrams, stutis, and devotional songs on Lord Shiva. Bhagawan then delivers His Divine Discourse on the importance of truth, selfless service, and unconditional devotion to the Lord. The commencement of the Shivaratri Akhanda Bhajans by the Prasanthi Bhajan Group then begins.
