Haniya Sajjad a.k.a. 'Hani' (Sarwat Gilani) and Ibad Uzair a.k.a. 'Aabi' (Adeel Hussain) meet as students at Columbia University, New York. Haniya has lost her parents and lives with her grandmother. Haniya and Ibad fall in love. But when Ibad, on a trip back home, informs his parents about this relationship, his father Uzair (Javed Sheikh) makes it clear that he will never accept it. As a dutiful son, Ibad decides to forget his love and marry the girl chosen by his father. When Ibad returns to the US, however, Haniya loses her grandmother and is left distraught. Ibad decides to marry her at once. He visits Pakistan to break the news to his parents. Uzair explodes in anger and, ignoring his wife Hajra's (Hina Khawaja Bayat) pleas, announces that Ibad is no longer part of the family. A saddened Ibad, on the way to the airport, rings up Haniya and tells her what has happened. To comfort him, Haniya promises that she will go to Pakistan and gain his father's forgiveness.

So wholesome and beautiful.. there is pathos in the pain and a healing touch despite the agony which soothes your heart.. Aabi and Hani - their love for each other is so divine… he left her with so much love and care even after his life and she came back to resurrect the broken ties and soothe the pain of his family… ❤️

Excellent series. Sad it took Aabi's death for the rigid father to realize his mistake. The father should have at least allowed Aabi to make his case instead of summarily rejecting Hani. Loved the series nonetheless!
All actors did wonderful job in this drama... Sarwat & Adeel had such a beautiful chemistry and Sanam Saeed, Ahsan khan Javed Sheikh and Hina Bayat...everyone acted really well... beautiful drama, watching it after long time and it again made me cry!!! Love this drama 👍🏻

great drama iska ost , characters , dialoouges or sab se barh kar autumn season. ye unique hai aise dramas ab nahi ban sakte farhat ishtiaq is a best and my favourite writer. main bht kam dramas dekhte hon aur mujhe kam dramas hi ache lagte hain . ye aik alag sa drama hai aur mujhe pasand hai . main is novel aur drama ko bar bar dekh sakti hon aur hamesha same feeling mehsoos karon gi . it has a special place in my heart .
