I cross the channel occasionally and the boat can take some rough water. I have yet to take it off shore just because its a long ride up there for just driving around. I fish shallow water and would rather stay shallow. :) I love the big motor because I use my boat almost everyday for everything from water skiing to shallow water fishing. Its the perfect match for my uses. Its a blast to drive when you get the hull on top of some chop. The hull will temporarily air out and it is fast. I see 39 occasionally but the average is about 37-38 mph.

Wow...that is awesome. You fish around Cocoa Beach/mesquito lagon ? Because that where I will be go when my boat ready.
