He makes very good pizza, no doubt, I wish there were tens like him all over America instead of crap Domino ... but he is a bit ridiculous, very arrogant, when suggesting he is inventing or changing something, as he still has a lot to learn, should be humbler to improve. His good product comes exactly from replicating well the traditions and techniques of others, ie the perfection of others, namely the Neapolitans. There are many who are better than him in the world and surely he knows very well, but he is over-selling himself like any good American salesman does because most viewers would not know.
He does not have any Michelin stars, you will not find any stars if you look in the guide. It is a very good pizzeria anyway, inferior to many others outside the US but in NY it is one of the best, very classic, and strict Neapolitan techniques. Would be great if many more of such quality appeared since consumption in the US is mostly of inferior products, chains etc.. It would be great if they started giving stars for one of the best foods in the world since it is certainly difficult to create a great product. However, you have to remember that the Michelin Guide is quintessentially French, and the French are very nationalistic, just like the Americans ... it is easy enough to give well-deserved stars to fantastic Sushi spots, Japan is far and has amazing food, but recognizing the superiority, vastness, ingenuity, and world's higher popularity of Italian gastronomy is much tougher. It is a huge one to digest. Recently the n. 1 spot of Italian gastronomy in the global survey of yougov, with Japanese, Chinese, and even Thai before French only at n. 5, was a very tough pill for them. yougov.co.uk/topics/food/articles-reports/2019/03/11/italian-cuisine-worlds-most-popular
I love this guy and his vision !! But making pizza great its not a life time effort, it takes time and energy and involment sure but a life time hahah bit too much :D..
@@Diego-gz1pl but it is already great, maybe you didnt get my point. Of course you want to make it better but it doesent mean that you cant learn how to make really great pizza in relatively short time if you have enough involment..
@@lukedeenz5698 dont get me wrong, im not saying it cant be! It really can be a lifetime effort but it does not take a life time to get it right..involment and attention you need to have and they are missing you can o 3 lifetimes and still you dont get it right

The
Fucking
Pizza!!!!!!!
It's ridiculous if he receives a michelin star before any of the naples pizzerias..
Napoli pizzerias promote pizza as an organic fast-food, and only a few are actually making efforts to transcend the product...
italians dont care about Michelin! they focus more on gambero rosso
Jay Torr he’s better than they are, no need to throw a hissy fit mario
