#Sonya9III #SonyAlpha #SonyMirrorless Наука
The A9III is clearly a game-changer for so many reasons. It is not for the amateur, it is a professional tool that requires learning some new and exciting techniques. Let's not obsess about the price--- a Ford F-150 is a work tool for many and at $50K+, it too is much more expensive than it used to be. What is technology breakthroughs worth? Lots of R&D and competent labor do add up quickly. Let's celebrate the birth of a new kind of photography.
I bought the very first Sony full frame mirror less camera, the a7, and later the a7ii. That was over 10 years ago. Look what we have now and imagine what we will have in another decade. Better UAP photos. ❤
With flash-sync , keep flash duration in mind !! A good studio strobe has a average flash duration of 1/400 - 1/1000s in full power
Mike seems like a great guy but he needs to stop saying in interviews that a9iii has the fastest shutter speed in the world. Fuji has 1/180000 which is over twice as fast and has had it on their cameras for the last couple of years. Yes it does not have global shutter and it is not full frame but the message needs to be more precise.
Can we assume this will still be limited to 10 fps for non-Sony branded lens like all the current Sony cameras?
I think it's 15 fps but yes we can assume it. Or maybe not, sony can still decide to change that number for the a9iii to keep more people in the sony ecosystem by allowing better fps for third party lenses.
We are not making any assumptions before this camera actually begins shipping. >Mark
WILL IT HAVE DUAL NATIVE ISO FOR VIDEO ? IF SO WHAT WILL IT BE ...HOW WILL IT BE IN LOW LIGHT SINCE 24MP VS THE SONY A7IV AT 33MP
The Sony a9 III will not have dual native ISO. Global Shutters typically are not good in low light, hence the base ISO of 250 not 100.
@@BandH But SONY mentioned it's all without compromises ..... that's would a bummer
Can you select 60fps when shooting or is it just 10, 30 and 120fps only for shooting?
The following video frame rates are available when using the Sony a9 III Mirrorless Camera:
At 3840 x 2160 (XAVC HS 4K): 23.98p, 50p, 59.94p, 100p, and 119.88p.
At 3840 x 2160 (XAVC S 4K) and 1920 x 1080 (XAVC S HD): 23.98p, 25p, 29.97p, 50p, 59.94p, 100p, and 119.88p.
At 3840 x 2160 (XAVCS-I 4K) and 1920 x 1080 (XAVC S-I HD): 23.98p, 25p, 29.97p, 50p, and 59.94p.
@@BandH I mean for stills
OMFG they didn't forget about us a7siii users T_T I honestly thought it was never going to happen. I almost shed a tear when it was mentioned.
Third part lenses speed?
Third party lenses on the A9 III can work up to 1/30,000.
only 10 FPS though

Wonder what is the fastest burst rate a Sony flash could keep up with for a continuous burst? Say 10, 20 or, 50 shot burst. Even on a relatively low power like 1/8th - 1/128th? Will be fun to find out. I'm personally not expecting to much on this but would like to see it for some live macro focus stack. Say, like 10 shot stack. I would be fine with continuous lighting if need be.
Unfortunately, as of the date/time of this reply, the burst rate (or length of images in a burst) when shooting a continuous burst with flash has not been specified. Do note that this would also vary depending on the flash used, as a flash with a higher maximum output and better recycle time (and a larger capacitor) may be able to shoot a longer burst compared to a flash with a slower recycle time. When shooting continuous bursts, the maximum shutter sync speed that may be used is 1/500th of a second. That being said, the maximum number of images per burst has not yet been determined, and may differ from flash model to flash model.
QUESTION: If GLOBAL SHUTTER tech has been around for a while, in the KOMODO (not full frame) and a few small other things, what took so long for it to be introduced into the Full Frame scene? Not a tecno buff sorry lol
Cost. The Komodo v2 is $19,999 brain only - with cards and monitor your at $25 K easy. This is $5999 and a camera and FF - the Komodo is smaller S35
@@8020Alive CCD sensors are global sensors, go study the development of shutters. Sony Marketing is doing a great job claiming this breakthrough technology. And Pre Capture is a technology released 4 yrs ago by Olympus and used in the OMD EM1 m 3, OMD EM1X and the OM-1. And it is shot in RAW, Nikon Z9/8 shoot in Jpeg. So Sony marketing is blowing this very hard and charging pricing this A9iii at double the A9ii price. This is a rip off..
No flicker in video?
Yes
No
Maybe
No flicker in video with a global shutter and no rolling shutter jello effect.
In the presentation you did, you said SONY's the largest Sensor manufacturer in the world and therefore you're the best and there is absolutely NO compromise in image quality. But now we know better, dynamic range is significantly lower compared to other SONY cameras and even the high ISO capabilities are not on par with the A9ii, it's worse in both departments. That's a bummer for all of us who pre-ordered because of your presentation!
A1 needs: Animal/Eye AF in Video, Pre-Capture & Focus Stacking... If you don’t give it at least two of those three then don’t bother...it’s a joke. A1 should of received Focus Breathing Comp in Dec of 2021. I am tired of the lies coming from Sony and being treated this way as an A1 owner
Honestly simple things like focus bracketing, longer than 30s shutter and so on MUST come to all other cameras like A7iv and even A7c too. Definitely do easy to add these and even more. But it seems Sony strategy is the other way around and more like a punch in their own foot. If this doesn't change SOON people like me may decide the opposite way Sony wishes!
and they will get them... next generation 😆
I usually freeze motion with my strobes. The images were sharper and colors more bold while also eliminating/minimizing ambient exposure. What will GS change since it can capture at the same speed as my light? I’m not really understanding the impact GS may have. Synch didn’t really matter because I capture at the speed of the light already by exposing for the strobes.
Usually a non-strobed image cannot compare. Will this make a non-strobed image comparable? Or change my technique?
The capacity to shoot during daylight with flash without thinking about the HSS or the filter you would have needed to cut down the sun light. And HSS actually reduce the available flash power. Flash sync is just not something to worry anymore with GS (you still have to set up the flash lag in the camera but that's more a flash "issue")
I don't use HSS... or a ND Filter... I shoot indoors with strobes... the ambient exposure by itself often requires 6400+ ISO to get F2.8-F4. You must not have that experience in stopping action with flash NOT using HSS. You expose to cut out the ambient light and capture the image on the sensor at the speed of the strobe light. The shutter speed doesn't matter much when using this technique.@@extremephilou
Profoto B10 at lowest output 10 stop lower than maximum output, the power output will be 2.4W. then will get 1/80000 @ T 0.5, which will have GN 6.4 @ whole flash duration, but due to T 0.5 will get usable GN 5 @ iso 250. which mean will capture 2.5meter object aperture @ 2, if aperture bigger then 1.8 , sync speed limited to 1/16000,which amazing.
Stop acting like pre-capture is revolutionary instead of just a long overdue catchup to other manufacturers who have had it for YEARS.
Wow you got Jean!!!!! Big fan🦾🦾
We love Jean too!
10:00 - "RAW 16-bit via HDMI" -- Nooo, that will just require expensive, outdating, specialized equipment to read that. There should be RAW 16-bit via USB-C, so you can plug in an SSD and record to that.
This will be an incredible remote triggerd camera for sports and wildlife .
Great idea!
if there is no compromise in image quality why ISO starts at 250 and ends at 25600? That worries me.
At first glance, it sounds promising. But then you start to think about it a little. What it’s really going to come down to is the image quality.
@@Spartanshaq777 exactly. I need ISO 6400 daily on tv shows and feature films the sets are always super dark and often are night shoots! If it's worse than a9II in low light then it's a no go for me.
CFexpress card type A is the elephant in the room.
That's a compromise yes. The advantages being to have 2 cf express card in a small body. So high speed redundancy is available. Not sure a lot of other non sony camera (but feel free to correct me) have double cf express type B (mirrorless) So no redundancy at high speed.
People said they same thing about the A1, that was wrong as well. The Type A standard already allows faster Type A cards to be made than currently available, and the revised standard is going to PCIei 4 in time.
It's fine for me. And now there are third party cards
@@extremephilouthe Z9 has double CFE-B, all other Nikon, Fujifilm, Canon cameras that use CFE-B use the nightmarish asymmetrical slots which forces you to pay for the CFE-B price for slot1 and limited to the speed of SD cards in slot2. So unproductive. It's one of the reason I favor the Z5 over the Z6II and R6II oved R5.
Lies, when asked about the dynamic range.
Sony does market their dynamic range in their cameras.
Straight from a1's product page:
"High resolution and sensitivity with 15-stop dynamic range
The α1 employs highly efficient noise reduction processing to deliver extraordinary resolution from its 50.1 effective megapixel image sensor. That resolution is complemented by high sensitivity with low noise, plus approximately 15 stops of dynamic range at lower sensitivities for smooth, natural gradations from shadows to highlights."
The reason of not stating a9III's dynamic range even when asked is quite obvious. It's a lot worse for sure.
Yeah I'm curious to know what's up. Sony cameras have great dynamic range....this is one of the first times I dont see them highlighting it. It probably won't be A1 level, but it'll be good.
With global shutter, pre capture, speed up button, 120fps, LOL, even an amateur like me can do sports photography. Just need AI to pick the photos after now.
You still need to know when to press… or you will have endless culling vast quantities of images and cards if you shoot 100’s of competitors for 12 hours… and they want to buy their images right now.
AI can’t pick the best composition or moment for every sport scenario… peak action… perfect form… the ball on the racket/bat… horse in the perfect position.
I think you can, do it.
