From Spain to UK: March 2024 Motorhome Adventure

- Our trip to Spain has come to an end and we have to make our way back to the UK because of the Schengen visa restrictions of only being allowed to stay in Europe for 90 days from a rolling 180 days.
Leaving Camping Poniente on 17th March and heading to get the Channel Tunnel Train on 24th March in Calais.
It's quite a journey but we manage to pack in a few lovely places to stop over and meet some lovely people along the way.

Le Crotoy is a place we stayed at on the way to Spain. We did not have the time to explore and we were at the aire just outside the town.
The aire on the way back by the harbour is so much nicer 👍😀😎

Fantastic journey, with such delightful places - thank you! That Chateau was incredible! I had to look up its history - very interesting ties to royalty, Napoleon, and those with business fortunes. I couldn’t believe the auto-market - what a smart idea, especially as the campsite is next door & travelers may be in need. I wish I could get my husband to minimize. He keeps buying more stuff and does not want to move out of our way too big house & garden. We are not young, just the 2 of us, now - so, I feel that we should be in more easily handled home situation. Good wishes on your life changes! I will look forward to updates! 👍

Very interesting to see the places you visited. I particularly enjoyed the "market in lockers" near the pizza dispenser! I hope you have some adventures planned for your time back in UK, as well as the excitement of planning your next overseas trip!
Thanks Robert. Yes we have some stuff going on in the uk as we are preparing the Boat for sale and continuing our minimalist journey and clearing out a load of stuff.

Nice drive, good mileage. The most we did in one day was 840 whilst trucking for a living in Canada/Usa. We were paid by the mile so always strived for high mileage.
Wow, 840 miles! Not sure I’d ever be able to do that 😜
@@TheHappyTravellers lol it was a one off, we normaly aimed for around 600 a day, but the 840 was over 14 hrs. Couldn't do it now, I've had enough after 2 hrs driving lol.
Will pips come over on a rubber dinghy? The weather is ok in 🇬🇧

There is more stuff happening now with our massive venture into minimalist life.
So busy clearing out stuff. We have a jumble sale next weekend at the Marina where we can sell some of the junk we have, erm I mean some of the excellent items we have 😂😂😂
