Is there a way to control the volume ? A sound effect i've found is loud as heck, and even after putting through several converter to quiet it down, it is still as loud.
I tried too. Adding your own music is such a pain. I looked at many sources and tried their different methods. I haven't found one that works. I keep getting an error called "Harlowe macros use a different syntax to Twine 1, SugarCube, and Yarn macros". I don't know what that means

I just made the text to appear on one page using this command: (click-replace: "test1")[(replace:"test2"[] New text]. So all my text was on one page. But I guess it would have been easier If I knew how to do it the other way :D On the other hand, it looks better when the text gradually appears ^^
We tried following your guide and added sound to twine through Wix, and it works wonderfully in tests. But as soon as we publish it, the sound doesn't appear at all. Do you have any idea why?
@ I don’t think we did. Wix only worked for us who had acces to the page. I think we used some software to generate the sounds instead, but that ate up a lot of filespace instead
Is there something special I need to do to get audio to play when on the first passage? When I publish and open my game, I don't hear the bg music I picked out. If I put it on another passage though, it plays just fine. I'm using sugarcube 2.
You have to make sure you downloaded a mp3 or wav file to your computer and then should be able to upload it to wix. Is there an error message that prevents you from adding it to wix?

@@DespoinaSampatakou Ya make sure that the language being used is the same. Twine also had a big update recently so it might have changed it? I am going to make an update video with the changes sometime this month or next! Sorry it didn't work

I've uploaded the music using the wix method but it doesnt work does my wix website have to be published or something?

it depends what sort of twine youre using. for example im using harlowe 3.2.3 and this works

The reason the text isn't displaying is because you didn't close the `` tag.

text dont appear because u have to close the audio tag, add at the end

That is weird, from the error message it seems like it is a small bracket that you are missing to end your statement
