I believe people should witness these images of war to truly comprehend the loss and heartache the losers of this war experienced and just why it was so very difficult for succeeding generations to get over it. Their punishment was great; don’t forget that fact. My third great-grandfather was one of them, buried I know not where, in a land far away from his home and his family. I have an idea where he died on the third day of battle just from troop movements, but I do not know if he still rests there. For me, that land is indeed hallowed….

Well done. A horrible time, but needs to be remembered and dealt with in truth. There's nothing glorious about the carnage of war.
