  • My older brother had a few nappies (aka diapers) that he wasn't using anymore (*edit* now that he's got a baby, that joke doesn't work anymore...), so I decided to take them and do an awesome science trick! Check it out in this video and try it on your friends :) BUT make sure you add the secret ingredient... that's kind of important... and keeps everyone dry :P

    The secret to this trick is a super-absorbent polymer found in nappies, called sodium polyacrylate. It absorbs up to 300 times its weight in tap water and up to 800 times its weight in pure water. In this episode, I explain how it works and show you a few experiments that you can do with it.
