Kid Koala Gorillaz Routine
la voz de 2-D y los scratchs de Kid Koala
creado por Kid Koala para Gorillaz. Видеоклипы
Phase 1 Gorillaz just had a certain aesthetic and overall mood that wasn't replicated ever again. Is it the Cartoon-Network aesthetic? The zombie-hip-hop? The experimental music? Something I really like from the first Phase was Damon's voice was very experimental at the time. Phase 1 just had a certain magic to it man.
Phase 1 is unmatched and will always leave this massive sense of nostalgia for me, kinda makes me sad to watch this vid and see all the drawings of the Gorrilaz in their old style.
Gorillaz is just something magical.
@@obvioustroll.yetyoustillgo1634I don’t think their current stuff is bad, but their older material from the first three phases, and Phase 1 in specific will always have a bigger place in my heart. I prefer the themes and mood of it.
I wasn’t even alive when phase 1 was going on but it’s my favorite phase.
@@danidotthemusicmanI think one of the reasons it’s my fav phase is that it wasn’t lore heavy. Sure the characters had backstories, but they were originally just supposed to be just another band that just so happened to be cartoon characters.
The synths they used for the debut album has a very characteristic sound of the 2000s. I think that plays a giant rol
this is a sad but great song. this should have made on an album. they need to release everything lost and rare song. i don't care what the quality of the song is, as long as its them. everything these guys make is amazing. This song makes me sad.
they were often released elsewhere, like the old website
and on some videogames
that's what I meant by the website, unless you meant something else
snoop dogg dank kush This isn't even a Gorillaz song, it's a Dan The Automator song ft Damon remixed by Kid Koala. The album this song was on got cancelled by Dan's record label.
HeyKay 47 Bc the label thought the record was too small to bother releasing. it's really sad. but Kid Koala said the original non remixed version will be on Dan's new project
This is actually a masterpiece.
This song gives a feeling of hope but at the same time of desolation, it's like lying on a sofa in a cold room thinking about what you left behind but it's still scary. xd
Same I get the feeling like I’m on a boat in the middle of the ocean with no else, yet happy being alone. This song has the power of sadness and happiness like you said!
Literally what I'm doing now tf?
I love Gorillaz, because they're the only band that really brings you into their universe.
We need a whole album of these lost songs and it should be called "Cyborg Noodle's Hard Drive"
that would be so cool because even though this song is from phase 1, the story could be something like murdoc installed and saved every single gorillaz song into cyborg to insure it was protected and the files wouldn't get stolen/corrupted/etc. and idk if cyborg is still a flower pot like noodle said or if shes sunk into the sea like in the lost chord, but they could make an ep with all the unreleased songs, and any songs that are "low audio quality" could be "explained" as water damage!
yeah!
just yes.
i gotchu
Such an incredible idea!!
If there is ever a Gorillaz movie. This should be the song that plays during the credits.
Gorillaz reminds me of a very discrete alcoholic who wanders around town in a haze when he's drunk, vomiting songs in the most unlikely of places, and then in the morning doesn't remember anything about it and just moves on with his life. And there's just the city, with all its nooks and crannies filled with these hidden... erm... Gems.
The internet is a Gorillaz wasteland.
I love how all of these unedited songs sound like old flash games due to the bad quality
This is when you get the the VERY TOP of melancholy hill.
these comments are enough to make me cry
As The Now Now tour winds down to an end and Gorillaz fade once again into the background of music, I’m drawn back to this track-this beautiful beautiful track. This sad, heartbreaking track that tears my heart in two, flooding it with all the nostalgia of the band, and the pure joy I felt seeing them live. Gorillaz will always be the best band, simply due to the soul, energy, love, heart, and character put into every second of music they produce. Thank you Gorillaz. See you in ten years. I’ll be waiting. Peace out guys.✌🏻
This track will always make me think about the trips I took seeing them live... including demon dayz. Forever and always the best band.
@@Vincentzw I was at Demon Dayz too
Wow this actually made me tear up a bit lol
You don’t have to wait for ten years anymore. They came back
well that “waiting” lasted a year
It was a christmas party at my grandmas house,i found this one playlist called "lost Gorillaz songs" and i found this song,it scared me at first(i mean it sounds like one of those 2000's lost flash games creepypastas ost lol)i couldnt stop thinking about this, the *whole* day, while it disturbed me,but this song grew on me and i listen this every single day,at a point i know by heart all the images of the video
Thanks for uploading this :)
This song is so freaking difficult to find when you forget it's name.
Completely forgot about this track. I must have last heard it when I was in middle school. I’m 26 now. I hunted down every Phase 1 and Phase 2 track of Gorillaz back then. Used to check Gorillaz-Unofficial like crazy, which had all known existing Gorillaz tracks listed on its site. I know this technically isn’t a Gorillaz track, but since it was mistaken as one by many people, I somehow came across it on the web. I definitely remember this one clearly as soon as I started hearing it.
This, and "FM". I wish '2D' did more collabs. 😅
I’ve been looking for this song again for YEARS because I remember hearing it when I was younger on this same video and just today I remembered the name of it. God bless. This song makes me feel so nostalgic and a little sad, but I also feel at peace listening to this song. Something about it really captivated me as a kid. Glad to have finally found it again.
yes truly a piece of art. I love this song so damn much 😭😭😭
I had no idea this song existed, but now it’s somehow my favorite gorillaz song now. Hell pretty damn close to my being just my favorite song in general. Even if it sounds weird at times, that’s just cause it never got to really grow into itself.
Don’t correct me please, I now know Damon worked on it but it’s technically not a gorillaz song. Nonetheless my opinion stands about the same.
Complete understand, this song makes me cry and perfectly tones down how I feel inside all the time, and it's just....very emotional, and so well written and put together
Never saw Gorillaz do this but I did see Kid Koala do it several times opening for Radiohead. Those were the days.
Somehow this is the first time I've ever heard this song. Very mesmerizing tune.
When Gorillaz breaks up (which i very much hope happens in the distant distant future) this'll be the first song that'll come up in my mind
i listened this song throughout getting over my break up with a long term girlfriend.. it just perfectly reflected how i felt...
and i regret listening to this song when i was depressed because it will never sound the same :(either way this song is perfect
This song humbles me with the simplicity of its beauty. I wish there was a button I could push so that I could hear this song in my head at any given time.
Love 2Ds vocals on this
*Damon Albarn's vocals

@@gabs1131 I'm 2 years late, but still. You'd be right if this were an official Gorillaz track, but I believe this isn't. Routine is a Kid Koala remix of Lonely Man by Dan the Automator, featuring Damon Albarn, which was originally meant to be on Omakase, before being cut. Currently, the original version of Lonely Man is lost. This song isn't an official Gorillaz track, though has understandably been mistaken as one.
@@CryingAutumn ok I respect u for this knowledge lol I wrote that when I was deep in my gorillaz phase
the words of the first speech actually read:
I'd like to take this opportunity to add, to every person listening in,
Whoever, and wherever they may be
To pause for a moment (moment, moment, moment *fades*)
And to give thanks
In his or her own way
With these unreleased songs it feels timeless to come back here
I’ve been returning to this video every now and then for the past 7 years. Still makes me feel the same way.
Exactly man, And the Nostalgia Grows more and more....
they should have released the song! why didnt the gorillaz release the song?! it sounds so beautiful!
This is actually a Kid Koala song
Distorted Glitch actually, kid koala does some stuff with the gorillaz, and I did some research and it was a song Damon albarn did not release and kid koala turned it into a remix
+Rachael Peavey links? I would like to read up on this as well
+Rachael Peavey Ok, did some digging around and it's a remix (like you said) of a fan dubbed song called "Lonely Man". I'm tempted to ask Kid Koala to release this as a single on iTunes but that might take him some time and he probably won't be up to it
mira burra
It really is so bittersweet to listen to a masterpiece like this and know it never saw its true potential…When Damon and co. composed these rare little gems back in the late ‘90’s and early 2000’s I’m sure they never thought anything of throwing some to the wayside. Nowadays, listening to this song does evoke a sadness in me. Nothing like Gorillaz
This son sounds melancholic... i love it.
This is one of the best songs and it's so sad that not more people have heard it.
This video is a little bit older than me, as are alot of gorillaz songs. I wish I could've grown up with these songs instead of the ones nowadays, would've been amazing to grow up when gorillaz was majorly popular
This song is so calm and relaxing...
I love this song so much I cried a couple times first listening to it.
I don't know what it is about this song, but it's so strangely nostalgic sounding and sad
This song makes me feel so sad... I have left all the fucking hope in this twisted world. I am alone.
you are not alone brother
you ain't alone bro
the same of the title : Kid Koala - Gorillaz routine.. is a song made by Kid Koala
Is really amazing how 12 years after uploading this song on RUclips, finally I meet Damon Albarn and others Gorillaz members. (Two times, you can watch also my others videos)
I’m so happy sharing music and reading all the comments here from people who feel the same feeling.
All I have to say is “Dreams Come True” believe in yourself and love yourself.
Thanks for everyone! Keep listening Gorillaz music! It’s not a just a band, is something bigger than a simple band.
So happy for live this life ❤️
when did you meet them?
Believe you is easy!
this is amazing man, i’m glad your dreams came true. Now all that’s left is for our dreams to come true too, and I know they will! I adore gorillaz and dan the automator. I hope i become amazing musicians like them! I love this song so damn much. Pls never take it down
This song is perfect. I wish they could just release it like this (:
God I wish this was released! Sounds so complete and MEZMARIZING!!!
wow wow wow. still an active comment section years later. good music
wish this was on G-Sides
But this wasn't made by Gorillaz though. Nor was it even made as a part of the original 1998 - 2000 _Gorillaz_ studio sessions. So how would it have even been put onto _G-SIdes_ in the first place??
kid koala was the dj on the first gorrilaz album so it isn't totally off. this is kid koala and p love as others have said. He is amazing.
I remember blasting this song a ton back in the Summer of 2017 whilst watching Naruto & playing Majora’s Mask. This is an under appreciated gem.
This song touched my heart
Knowing that This tracks is unrelased so bad other g fans can't enjoy this song thanks to kid koala to remix this song and thanks for Dan's hardwork and also thank you for Damon Albarn big thank you for me cause i love this song
I prefer this one over the one that got released on Soundcloud. That scratching sounds so raw 👏🎛💿🔥
You can't just say that and not leave a link! A man needs sauce!

a beautiful nostalgic gem

Hello future me!
This track brings out a deep emotion, can't quite put my hand on it, but it's a good emotion nonetheless.
God I need this on spotify
Fates aligned then, I'm guessing over a decade ago. Saw Koala open for Z-trip with this in Seattle. Just happened to be in town overnight on business. Now . . . I just got laid off from that job in April. * singing * Movin' on. Movin' on. Movin' on. Movin' on . . .
i been searching for this song for loooong, thank you for having it
These lost songs should really added to an album or it should of been added to their 20th anniversary deluxe album.
gosh, this makes me so nostalgic. all of these unreleased gorillaz songs do.
yeah i love how kid koala takes it slow in like 90% of his songs its very unique and new
I'M IN LOVE WITH THIS SONG.
Happy 10 year anniversary of this masterpiece being uploaded. Hopefully this gets released soon, because all my days... I still wait.
Still waiting ✊
wow.... just wow
so very mellow, life should be at this pace all the time
thanks Kid Koala
Damon´s voice sound like thousands angels
Que gran tema! Esta version pertenece al disco Kid Koala + P Love Nufonia Must Fall Book Tour (2003) y se llama Gorillaz Routine. Podeis encontrar mas versiones de este mismo tema en el disco Kid Koala-live studio session (aquí se llama Lonely Man) y en el Kid Koala-Live At The Knitting Factory (bajo el nombre de New Routine)
Unpopular opinion: this song scares me
Great song for when you just need a break to think about somthing.
Let’s hope this helps me through middle school
It did lets hope this gets me through junior year
Hows it going?
@@CryingAutumngraduation. Trying my hardest.
This song has move me forward and closer to my Hope's and dreams I hope that one day we will all hear this song man I heard this shit when I was into the dark depths of life man it's some emotional stuff man I will never forget when I first heard this song..... right on
this track is so beautiful
The artwork from jamie hewlett is truly beutiful and its sad that like we cant go back in time to phase one like phase one was one of my favorites
I'm gonna need a 10 hour loop
he seems to be one of the best at makeing really great "simple" mixes. You don't need to jam a piece full of samples and scratch over everything for it to be good, this is just great craftsmanship.
This song scares me every time I hear it and I don’t know why but I still love it
The joint has been my jam for 10 years or so now
unreleased gorillaz songs are so awesome!
i love this song
I will continue to listen to this until listening to it kills me.
Can anyone tell me what kind of... instrument?? is playing? I'm sure I've heard it before during my childhood and it makes me quite sad and nostalgic, I just want to know :/
its acctualy a scratchy sound from turntable, go check kid koala for more
love those pics and the music and EVERYTHING!!! what could possibly be better than relax to this?
I wish it was still summer time.
It soon will again
Soon, man!

@@TwinkieTerror I landed on the silver lake
Washed up and feeling blue
Heard the sound of footsteps
Drifting softly to the moon
Looking for clear water
I had to take control
Out there in wilderness
Another bullet hole
Playing it all for gods
Yesterday
Idaho, Idaho
There's a beauty on the road
And everyday I look out of the bus
Silver linings getting lost
Floated out into the woods
To hear the old elk call
Touched a rainbow with my hands
I'm dry, I got 'em all
"Ride on, " said the king of cool
You've got nothing to lose
Tinseltown is down the road
It's the bullet of the noose
If you're playing it all for gods
Far away
Idaho, Idaho
There's a beauty on the road
And everyday I look out of the bus
Silver linings getting lost
Thank you music for giving us gems like Kid Koala, P-Love, and the Gorillaz and all the artists and musicians they have introduced us to
Ty for uploading this
Honestly this song its so satisfying to hear
what a buzzz this is i finally found the track after ten years ..........
dan automator its beatmaker
This is insanely smooth!
I saw this dude warming up for Dj Shadow and Cut Chemist, dude killed it! To me, he was the main act..
All my days, I still wait.. Oh. Now I'm a lonely man. Still a great song 2 years on!
This is just awesome! Oo
Thx for the upload!
OMG i love it!!
Look at this WMV-ass slideshow, I LOVE IT.
I love this Gorillaz / Kid Koala rarest track. I have the original version of this song on my music player.
I've got this feeling, everytime I hear good new music, my mind tries to escape my body to roam free and wander off on the vibes of the music..
emotional reaction what a great tune ............................ had this since 2002 when it came on breezeblock radfio1 great tune big up kid koala
this is 1of his best, luv it!!
for Me, This Song Sounds Like a Miracle.
kid koala opened wit this in Seattle in December - soooooooo gooooooooooood!! Amazing
The song that got me into turntablism and Gorillaz, such a cruel twist of fate it never got properly released. It casts such a mystifying and beautiful haze around itself. It was originally supposed to be released under the album Omakase by Dan the Automator before being scrapped entirely.
haunting and dreamy
How did I just find this???
1:10 God, I love that picture of widdowe baby Noodowe and Mr. Kyuzo - the closest thing that The Noble Ms. Noobol has had to a biological father, and one of two Papas she has had in her life (the other being the one and also the only too as well also even: Mr. Russel "That Really Rustles My Jimmies, Hobbes!" Hobbs).
I had a really great meditation session to this.
WHY DOESNT THIS SONG GET MORE ATTENTION FUCK
You can't describe this Song in words, and kid koala is for me one of the great musicians of the history!
this is amazingly awesome and also crispy
And it does have an official release for anyone looking to buy it. Kid Koala- Live at Nufonia Must Fall Book Tour
